I stood stunned as these wonderful girls finished their magic on me
I could barely recognize myself as I looked at the mirror for the hunthred time...
"Are you satisfied?" The first girl said and I opened my mouth in shock
Is she kidding?... Is she pulling my legs right now?
Am I dreaming?
I opened my mouth as I faced the mirror again and I just couldn't form the right words to say
Their eyes bore into mine as I checked myself out
"Are you girls kidding me right now?... I love it!" I suddenly blurted out excitedly
I look like luxury.... A big bag of golden cash complimenting my golden locks as well
"I'm glad you like it" the second girl said and I smiled
They hardly talk and I'm sure it's part of the rules they abide to... I poised my lips as I really wanted to know more from these girls
"So what's Jayson's mother like?" I asked and they all looked at me before facing each other while packing up their stuffs
"We are not allowed to share that piece of information with you..... Moreover you should know since you are Sir Jayson's finacee" the first girl said..... She seems to be the leader and she spoke with such elequent.... So smooth and bold at the same time
I almost choked on my sliava but she was right though..... Oh Jasmine what's wrong with you and your blabber mouth?
"It's actually my first time meeting her... I just needed a heads up" I said and she smiles
"We would actually love to tell you but we aren't permitted to cross our limits" she said and the door opened... It's Noah
He gaze trails over me as he seems rather impressed by the makeover
"It's time to leave" he simply said and left... I rolled my eyes as the girls followed him suit while I stood in front of the mirror... It's like this mirror has become bestfriend now
Mika must be really worried..... I wish she was here with me
"Dang my spoilt phone" I said as I took it and stared at it for a few minutes before tossing it on the table
I'm definitely going to get a new phone after this bizzer mission
Trying to get myself mentally prepared for whatever it is that awaits me..... I wonder how she'll react
What questions is she going to ask?
I didn't even think about all these and I opted to do it... Fùck!
I exhale deeply
"You can do this Jasmine" I said to myself as I walked out.... God help me
✨Jayson's Pov ✨
I was looking rather casual..... Not much on as I didn't want to over do it
My mom is super smart and I just hope Jasmine will be able to fool her
It takes a lot of work to impress my mom and Jasmine is extremely annoying so it's going to be easy
I checked my wristwatch for the last time as I tapped my feet... Why is she taking forever to get done?
I rubbed my forehead as I spuned around...but stopped dead on my tracks when I saw her climbing down the stairs.... She's looking extremely beautiful in the red dress that compliments her body shape..... Hugging every essential angle
I cleared my throat akwardly as she walked up to me.... She looks really attractive right now.... Why am I just noticing it?
"Can we go now?... I don't have all day" she blurted out and I rolled my eyes at her sharp mouth
"You should mind your choice of words, girly" I said and she scoffed
"Really?... Because I'm working for the almighty Jayson?...oh please give me a break" she said with a familiar hand gesture as she flickers her hands
I shook my head as I really don't want to get into an argument... I already have a huge task ahead of me and she's the least of my problems right now
"Let's go" I said coldly and she nods..... Taking a step ahead but for some reason she tripped on her heels and stumbled...but I was quick enough to catch her before she fell..... As if I've been waiting for it to happen
What just happened?
She gasped as she slowly released herself from my grip... arranging herself awkwardly as she stares at me..... My eyes darted away as I walked up front

"This isn't funny!!!!" Gina yells angrily as Mantinda told her the arrival of Jayson and his "alleged girlfriend"
"Gina mind the way you raise your voice at me!" Mantinda said as she glared at her
"I can't believe you are allowing this happen... Like what happened to family curtsey?... Mandy's family have known us for years and the bond between us is really strong..... And suddenly a stranger is coming out of nowhere to ruin it!... That's not cool!" Gina bursted again and Mantinda sighs
"I don't have the right to tell Jayson who he should marry..... It's his life and he knows what he wants..... How would you feel if I tell you who to spend the rest of your life with?" Mantinda asked and Gina frowned instantly
Ruffling her hair as she looks away from her mother
"You see..... Nobody likes being told what to do!" Mantinda said and Gina scoffed
"There's no way I'm being in support of this madness!..... I just can't stand this madness!" Gina said angrily
"Then go back to grandma..... Besides she misses you alot" Mantinda said mockingly and Gina gasped
"Mom!!!!!!!..... You know grandma is dead!!!!" Gina bursted out as Mantinda laughs heartily
"Exactly my point..... If you can't stand Jayson's decision then you are free to hang yourself..... I really don't care" Mantinda said as she walked away and Gina clenched her fists tightly
She honestly can't wait to see who this mysterious girl is and they are definitely not going to get along

Mika walked into the kitchen and met Roland frying chicken.... It's actually a despatch order and he's trying to get it done quickly
She stood at the entrance as she watched him skillfully fliped the chicken while whistling to a tone she's familiar with... It's actually her favorite song and here he is.... humming it perfectly
She subconsciously rested slightly on the door as watched him..... And as if he felt someone's presence.... He looks at her and she quickly stood straight while pretending to be doing something else
"For how long have you been staring at me?" He asked and she scoffed instead
"You must really be sick in the head to think that I've been staring at you" she said tauntingly and he smriks as he rounded up and switched off the cooking gas
"Don't you ever get tired of being rude?" He asked and she smriks
"It's who I am" she said and he scoffed loudly
"And it doesn't suit you either" he said and she gasped dramatically
"Go to hell!" She spat and he chuckled lightly
"Yo, it's been a whole day and I haven't heard from Jasmine.... Have you heard from her?" Roland asked and Mika suddenly looks worried
"I haven't..... Her line has been switched off since yesterday... I checked and I couldn't find her at home" Mika said and Roland frowned
"That's weird... I hope she's alright" he said and she nods weakly
"What are you two doing in here!?... Lazing around while working!?" Avia's shrill voice pierced through and Mika mentally rolls her eyes
"I'm almost done" Roland said and Avia glared at him
"Well hurry up!.....you are seriously joking with your job Roland!" Avia snapped and he hurriedly package the meal before walking out
"And you..... Why are you still standing here!?" Avia asked and Mika simply crossed her hands together
"Because I don't have anything else to do... Is that a problem?" Mika asked chessyly and Avia glared at her
"You don't get to talk to me like that Mika" Avia said tauntingly and Mika scoffed
"And you think talking down on other's is cool?.... Well it's not so snap out of it!" Mika fires back and Avia titlts her head backwards in surprise
"Do you want to lose your job?" Avia asked threateningly while staring at her
"A job where my salary will be delayed for months?....is that a job to you?.....oh please" Mika said as she made to leave but Avia grabbed her hands tightly
"I'm the manager so put some respect in your tone when talking to me" Avia said with grethed teeth and Mika yanked her hands away irritatedly
"I'd rather chew a broken glass than talk to you with respect... You don't deserve to be respected, bîtch" Mika said before walking out of the kitchen
Avia stood stunned as she watched the door closed with a loud bang
She clenched her fists tightly as she suddenly smriks
"You are going to regret ever talking back at me... I will make you chew your words and cower at my feet....soon" Avia said as she also walked out

"You are taking much time son, I expected you to be done by now" Bob said and Laurence smriks
"Dad you are impatient... Just give me some time and I will be with them" he said and Bob rubbed his forehead
"But what if we're too late..... They already met each other..... It won't take long before Jasmine remembers who he is and I will lose" Bob said and Laurence smriks
"That's impossible Dad... Jasmine can never remember her past..... It's all gone" he said and Bob bangs his hand on the table making it squeak as Laurence flinched
"I know what I saw!..... Listen to me carefully....if you and your sister don't hurry up with whatever it is then I will take action myself!.... Jasmine has to die and that's it!" He spat as he angrily walked out
Laurence smriks as he watched his father walked away angrily
"Sorry Dad, but I've got other plans" he said with a sinister smile

The ride was super quiet as I felt my cheeks burning up nervously
I've never done anything like this and right now it feels as if I'm going to pass out from anxiety
The AC was on and I'm still sweating..... I dabbled my head with my hankey as I sighed for the hundredth time
I do this each time I'm nervous
Looking out the window as I tried to get enough air... it's as if I'm been choked by an invisible person
I sighed again and I heard Jayson's groan
"Why are you making so much noise?" He said and I glared at him
"What did I do?.." I asked and he rubs his forehead
"You've been sighing since we left my house... Quit it" he snapped and I frowned
"Well, pardon me for being nervous" I said sarcastically and he rolled his eyes
"I don't want to hear any noise... Don't you have a phone to play with or something?" He said brashly and I gulped
Now I'm offended.... It's not like it's his fault though but still
"I don't have a phone" I mumbled and his gaze softens as I looked away
"I'm sorry.....I didn't mean to sound that way" he said and I felt the guilt in his voice as his phone started ringing
What's the point of apologizing after rubbing it in my face?
I turned my head away as I literally drowned in my thoughts..... His voice became muffled sounds as I paid no attention to whatever he was saying
What do I care?.... he's so arrogant and ignorant with his words
Morever I'm only seen in his car because of the money he has to offer.... I know it's not a really huge amount but it will be enough for me to move into a new apartment and be free from the clutches of my spiteful uncle
I exhaled deeply as we arrived.....the car halted and I stepped out.....my mouth literally hung open as I stared in complete awe
Am I in heaven?... Is this where his mother lives all alone?.... Just how rich are these people?
I stood rooted in that spot till I could no longer close my mouth...shocked is an understatement compared to what I'm going through right now
I suddenly felt a strong yet soft hand on mine as he took it completely and that's when it hits me that I'm not longer single.... I'm Jayson's finacee
I smiled brightly even though I'm extremely mad at him... wrapping my other hand on his as we walked towards the main building
I immediately hinted the shock in his eyes as I pulled into character... I'm pretty sure he wasn't expecting me to be this good....we are talking about money.....what was he expecting?
He looks at me and I flashed him my prettiest smile as we walked through the glass door
"Bravo!!!!" A shrill voice pierced through as an elderly woman in her late forties claps her hands...a bright smile plastered on her face as she stared at the both of us holding each other lovingly
Jayson took my hand as he pecks it gently and I faked my most realest blush... covering my mouth like a newly wedded bride
"So she's the lucky one?" The woman asked and Jayson smiles brightly..... flashing his perfect set of teeth
"Yes mother...I want to officially introduce my finacee to you..... Joelle" she said and I almost choked but maintained my smile
He never told me that I would change my name
Oh gosh this boy won't be the end of me
"Joelle?....oh my, she's really beautiful son" she said as she took my hands and pulled me closer.....I smiled brightly even though my cheeks are now hurting me badly
"I told you you were going to love her.... isn't she exactly how I described?" He said and she smiles... caressing my cheeks as I beamed like a glow in the dark ball
"She really is gorgeous.... I'm so happy to finally meet you my child" she said to me and I smile
"Thanks mother" I said and she dragged me towards the couch and made me seat
"I should probably excuse the both of you" Jayson said and my jaw dropped instantly...I managed to close my mouth before she looks at me
What's wrong with Jayson?..... leaving me all alone with his mom?..... what am I supposed to say to this woman
"You should because there's a lot I need to know about her" she said and I felt something sank deeply into my chest
What am I going to do?.... I'm stuck with this woman... damnit!!!!!
