"I hope you packed everything Claudia, have no hopes of returning cause you are of no use to our family " said Victor and I must say it's the first time I've seen him smiling, I bitterly swallowed his words savouring all the ingredients. As expected, Father didnt bother to come and see me off but I never expected the same results from mother. She has always had my back , I really needed a hug from her since I probably won't see her for a very long time.
He continued" Oh would you just go already, you're only wasting everyone else's precious time so enough with your existence already!" His words never stop to hurt , I wonder if he enjoys my pain or if there's more to it than the eye could see. With one final look I got inside the carriage. There was a lump in my throat but I was unwilling , I must teach myself to be strong otherwise I cannot go far with a weak heart. There was no one but myself in the carriage so Calestia was able to jump out of the pocket of my jacket. He changed his size to that of a normal cat and asked " is he really your brother ?"
With a bitter laugh I answered" Yeah I always ask myself that and I'm sure with the way he treats me he really doesn't want me as his sister " I know for sure he will definitely be accepted by any guild he wants. I once saw him train , his level far surpasses those in his age. Then there's Raymond in just a few years he managed to be a captain, a position right under the guild leader. What I know is I'm not going to compete with anyone especially my siblings. I've only got six years till my guild try outs , entry starts from the age of 15 and I'll make sure there'll be no reason for rejection from the guilds...
Since this was a mana stone powered carriage I was able to arrive at grandma's house in four days. We passed the small town that father mentioned then entered deep inside a dark forest. The carriage arrived at a beautiful flower tree that was mysteriously made into a house. Grandma was the one who always visited , we have never visited her so this is very new to me. Even if the visits were short she still had the ability to teach me a lot of things. I remember when I was young she taught me how to play guitar, it was only basics but determined to impress her on her next visit I practiced a lot. We played and sang together with only mother as our audience, she taught me how to knit and how to use a sewing machine encouraging me to make any clothes I want but that died when she left. Never had the guts to ask for more fabrics , besides that would be unacceptable as a Walter. Hopefully I'll continue and this time she'll teach me how to cook.
I went to knock on the door that was decorated with all sorts of flowers but as soon as my hand touched the door the door grew roots that travelled up my arm to my head. The guards that came with me we're ready to use their magic to protect me but the roots only placed something on my hair then they disappeared. When I looked at what was placed on my hair it was a beautiful flower , I immediately fell in love with the smell.
The door opened and it showed a person with black and green hair , kind grey eyes and soft skin. It was none other than grandma " Claudia! You've gotten so thin !" I answered her with a very tight hug that I've needed for quite some time. " I'm so happy to see you grandma " , " aw me too dear , now that you're here I'll be able to teach you lots of things " I nodded immediately forgetting about my worries, her presence is just so peaceful. She has plant magic , mother say she is very powerful
" Mnh Jazmine, a soothing scent. " Said grandma pointing at the white flower and I asked " what's it for ?". " This house is very special with a mind if its own, it picked a flower for you and it'll forever supply you with this flower , Zoe and Arya also got different flowers " eh? So I'll now smell like a Jazmine flower but more importantly who's Zoe and Arya!?
" Um thanks I guess but if I may ask who is Zoe and who is Arya ?" She chuckled but first addressed the two guards that came with me. " Please help us by getting her things inside" they did as she said and afterwards he let them leave and deliver the news that I arrived safely. Though my new room was smaller than the one back home it was pretty, unique with some colour and I can confidently say grandma knows everything about me. A purple bed, small closet , peach mat and blue curtains, small bookshelf, A SEWING MACHINE AND A GUITAR!
" How do you like your castle? It's small but it has more than that big room your parents gave you " I'm speechless, no one has ever done this for me to just make me feel welcome this is so beautiful and very thoughtful of grandma. " I love it, now I can catch up on what I've missed ".
We were in the kitchen when two girls each holding two rabbits " Well what are you two standing for quickly put those away before you mess up my floor " they did as told , I didn't fail to notice the bag and through a small gap I saw quite a number of mana stones.
" Claudia these two trouble makers have been eating my food for the past three years. The red head is Zoe and black head is Arya. You two this is my sweet adorable Claudia!" I couldn't help but blush at the introduction, " hi " oh god I sounded so shy. Zoe had red shoulder length hair , black eyes probably has fire magic. Arya has long black hair and black eyes so I'm curious about her magic.
" So do you really have no moonra" asked Zoe and my smile froze , Arya smacked her head and said " please forgive Zoe , she's very blunt ". " Oh no it's fine I mean it's the truth right" , " yeah but still , it was wrong of her to ask like that" not wanting to further talk about this I changed the subject. " How did you get those mana stones ?" I am very curious cause they kinda look my age.
" We hunt beasts for mana stones , killing a level 1 horned rabbit is not that hard but we don't go too far cause this forest is very dangerous so only low level beasts are nearby for us to hunt plus with the mana stones we get to exchange them for money to buy ourselves cool things " said Zoe , I could see the stars in her eyes as it looked like she was imagining whatever she was going to buy.
" Enough of that, you all sit for lunch. Hunting and travelling can build quite an appetite so you all must eat " as we sat down and waited I kept thinking about what Zoe said. Hidden, Hunting, dangerous forest, is there any better place for someone to get stronger.
The food was very delicious and we all asked for seconds then afterwards I decided to go to my room and have a chat with Calestia. " Interesting place to live in, I can sense so many powerful beasts and a few spirit beasts like myself also the mana here is very rich. I can just say that your grandma lives in a gold mine " said Calestia , I didn't bother to be amazed that he could sense all that, now that I finally know what kind of place this is it's time to do more action and less talking.
