Chapter 47 - Chapter 47

Aria's hand closed around the dagger, her fingers trembling as memories flooded her mind. Jack's tears, his anguished cry, the weight of their lost child - it all crashed down on her.

Tears welled in her eyes, spilling down her cheeks as she placed a hand on her stomach. Her body shook with sobs, grief overwhelming her.

Sara, sensing an opportunity, turned to flee. But Aria's grip was surprisingly strong. Her fingers tangled in Sara's hair, pulling her back.

Sara's eyes widened in shock as she stumbled, her knees hitting the floor. Aria's eyes blazed with a fierce intensity.

"How could you?" she whispered, her voice cracking.

Tears streamed down her face, mixing with rage. Sara's hands flew to her scalp, trying to pry loose Aria's grip.

"Let go!" Sara pleaded.

But Aria's hold tightened. Sara's face contorted in pain.

Aria's voice trembled. "You took everything."

Sara's eyes darted wildly, searching for escape. Aria's dagger hand trembled, the blade's edge glinting.

Sara froze, her breath caught in her throat. Aria's gaze locked onto hers, filled with accusation.

"You'll pay," Aria whispered.

Sara's pleas mingled with Aria's sobs, echoing through the hospital room. The sound was haunting, a cry for justice, for loss, for the shattered remains of a life once whole.

The air was heavy with tension, the only sound the ragged breathing of the two women. Aria's grip remained unyielding, her eyes burning with a fierce determination.

Sara's face paled, her eyes locked on the dagger. She knew she was trapped, at the mercy of a woman who had lost everything.

The family rushed to Aria's room, drawn by the commotion.

Aria's hands were wrapped around Sara's neck, her face twisted in anguish. Sara's eyes bulged, her face red.

"Let go, Aria!" Daniel pleaded, rushing to intervene.

But Aria's grip only tightened.

Jack's voice cut through the chaos, his wheelchair creaking as he shifted forward. "Aria!"

Her gaze snapped to his, and for a moment, they just stared at each other.

Aria's grip on Sara faltered, and with a push, Sara stumbled backward, falling to the floor.

Aria's eyes welled with tears as she took in Jack's frail form, sitting in the wheelchair. His smile was weak, but reassuring.

"I'm fine," he said, his voice soft.

But Aria saw the pain etched on his face, the lines of suffering carved deep.

Sara struggled to her feet, her eyes darting toward the door.

Aria sprang up, her movements swift and deadly. She grasped Sara's hair, twisting it in her fingers.

The dagger flashed in the light, its blade glinting.

Sara screamed as Aria stabbed it into her left leg.

Blood flowed, mixing with Sara's cries.

Aria dragged Sara by the hair, toward Jack. Her tears streamed down her face.

"Apologize to Jack," she said, her voice venomous.

Sara's eyes widened in agony.

Aria knelt, her face inches from Sara's. "You must feel the pain now, right?"

Jack intervened, grasping Aria's hand. "Stop, Aria."

But she refused, her eyes blazing.

Memories of their lost child flooded back.

Aria's hand connected with Sara's face, a resounding slap.

Daniel rushed to restrain Aria, wrapping his arms around her.

"Calm down," he whispered.

But Aria struggled against him.

"You killed my baby, Sara," she accused, her voice cracking.

The room fell silent.

Gasps echoed.

Sara's eyes widened.

Aria's accusation hung in the air.

The family's stunned faces reflected their horror.

Jack's eyes locked onto Sara, filled with anguish.

The truth cut deeper than any dagger.

Sara's screams faded into the background.

Aria's pain became the only sound, Her body shook with sobs

The air was heavy with tension.

The silence was oppressive.

And in that moment, nothing else mattered.

Only the truth.

Aria's hand trembled as she withdrew the dagger from Sara's leg. The blade glinted in the fluorescent light, casting an eerie glow on the faces surrounding her.

Sara's eyes widened, fear etched on her features.

Aria's gaze never wavered, her eyes brimming with tears. "You might wonder why I'm acting like this," she whispered, her voice cracking.

The room fell silent, anticipation hanging in the air like a challenge.

"I heard everything, Sara," Aria continued, her words dripping with venom. "Every word."

Sara's face paled.

"I heard you talking about your boss, the worst enemy," Aria said, her voice steady.

Mrs. Hilda's hand flew to her mouth, shock written across her face.

"And I heard you say..." Aria's voice faltered, tears streaming down her face. "You were the one driving the truck that hit our car."

The room erupted into gasps and cries.

Jack's face twisted in rage, his eyes blazing with anger.

Mrs. Hilda strode forward, her slap connecting with Sara's face with a resounding crack.

Sara's head jerked back, her left leg throbbing in pain.

Mrs. Hilda's tears flowed freely, mingling with her anger. "Why, Sara? Why betray us like this?"

Aria's voice dropped to a whisper. "The enemy was living among us all along. And it was none other than Sara."

Jack's eyes glazed over, memories flooding back. He relived the accident – the screeching tires, the crunch of metal.

He saw himself lying on the floor, a woman in a black veil running with a gun in her hand.

And the truck, moving away from the scene.

Two figures, Sara was one.

But who was the other?

Jack's gaze snapped back to the present.

"Sara isn't alone in this," he stated, his voice firm.

The room's attention shifted to Jack.

Aria's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?"

Jack's jaw clenched. "I saw someone else that night. A woman in a black veil, with a gun."

Sara's eyes darted wildly, panic setting in.

"Who?" Mrs. Hilda demanded.

Jack's gaze locked onto Sara. "Someone who's still out there."

The air thickened with tension.

Aria's dagger pressed closer to Sara's neck.

"Tell us," Aria whispered, her voice deadly.

Sara's eyes pleaded for mercy.

But none came.

The silence was oppressive, heavy with unspoken questions.

And in that moment, the truth hung in the balance.
