An awkward silence reigned in the car and somehow, the ride felt slow; like time had become still. Leonardo didn't even give her any chance to refuse his outrageous request! Why did he offer to take her home in the first place? Now, she will have to be indebted to him for helping her. She inwardly groaned in frustration, moving uncomfortably on the car seat.
"Stop scowling." he finally broke the silence.
Her head snapped left, to his direction. "I'm not scowling," she retorted.
"Stop scowling, and biting your lips." his eyes fixed on the road. "You are going to hurt yourself."
"And I just said I'm not scowl–"
"Which I heard, Sylvia."
She felt her stomach turn when his tongue mentioned her name. How could he make her rage burn and give butterflies in her stomach at the same time?
"–But that doesn't mean anything. You were scowling and you will stop," he concluded.
