" Huh?..." I couldn't help but blurt out in surprise.
The bastard stranger was behind me, looking at me with those beautiful azure eyes of his. He was smiling but there was an unreadable gleam in his eyes.
" You said you'd send the bastard who stole your prey.. or was it the target of your revenge... Ahh let's go with that, yes the target of your revenge Leo.. you said you'd get rid of the bastard who killed him, which is basically me of course... So how do you plan on doing that?" He clarified, finishing his statement with a teasing smirk.
'So laid back, does he think I really can't kill him?.' I pondered, and at the same time I added more pressure on the knife pushing down with every little ounce of strength I had in me, yet the bastard didn't break a sweat, he only smiled at my futile attempt to kill him.
Still I kept pushing, I just had to, whether he could block my attacks or not, I just had to hope that the blade somehow reached this bastard throat.
My attempts only seemed to amuse him more, his grip on the blade tightened and he slowly took the blade off my hand.
' shit I'm fucked!, Well this is good, he's pissed now right? He'll kill me now right? '
Sadly much to my surprise only his melodious laughter was heard in the dead silence of the night.
" I like your guts, however I hate to break it to you but you can't kill me."
I forced a smile, sweating profusely, my racing heart refused to stop as it felt like it was ready to jump out of its position at any moment.
Currently I was having conflicted emotions, I was scared.. terribly so, I was pissed, yup definitely pissed and then for some reason I was excited, he was close, a little too close if you ask me but I kind of liked it.
' huh?! What am I saying? Aubrey calm the fuck down, he's an enemy nothing more I couldn't care more about being mates with a jerk like him.'
I say that but ahh I don't know anymore I can't trust my mind, at least my heart won't fail me... Oh on second thoughts I shouldn't rely on that either.
" You seem full of yourself, just because you managed to kill an alpha in a weakened state doesn't make you all invincible."
He merely scoffed at my words, pulling my body close to his, my back leaned on his bare chest and my ass was against his crotch, I shuddered as he whispered into my ear.
" Don't be mistaken little pup, I wasn't even going all out against that weakling, I didn't deem him worthy enough to fight me so I sent my subordinates instead but it was taking too much time so I got bored and decided to end him."
"Or you were too scared to engage Leo in a direct combat." I taunted him, forcing a smirk despite how scared I was.
Was scared the right word? Maybe I guess.. I was scared of him and yet I felt comfortable in his embrace... Good lord what's happening to me, ahhh... I see, this is the infamous mate pull huh, damned goddess things won't go the way you want it to, I'll decide my damned fate myself.
He brought his head to the side of mine, his alluring snowdrop scent became more intense.
Without warning, he licked me, starting from my neck he slowly moved to my ears, I shuddered feeling my body heat up as he continued licking me, my face turned a deep shape of red and my heart was beating in a wild state.
"W-Wha.. What are... Y..You doing.. huek!!!" I barely managed to say, mixing moans between my words.
His whisper gave me the chills, his body heat in tandem with his alluring snowdrop scent was enough to send my current being into an excited state as he spoke.
" Scared to fight Leo? Haha little pup I'm the alpha of the Azure moon pack, your pack doesn't hold a candle to mine neither does your pack alpha, he was fucking weak."
"Let me go, you bastard." I said, biting hard on his hand but he didn't let go, rather his embrace became tighter and warmer.
He let out a melodious chuckle and honestly I didn't get him, it seemed my curses and my unyielding attitude only served to turn him on even more, fucking creep.
" Hahaha what's this, how cute, does my little puppy wanna mate with me so bad that she can't wait."
I froze in place as his words registered in my mind, that damned goddess had made it so that mates had to mark their prey by leaving a bite on them, similar to how animals claimed their territory.
I was about to retort or even better reach out for a spare knife in my bag but then his words cut me off.
"... Worry not pup, we shall have all the time in the world for that, you'll even be begging me to stop.. but for now just take a little nap." He finished as an ominous feeling came over me at his words.
I tried to wiggle my way out of his hold but I felt something hard against the back of my neck and my vision blanked.

"Hmmm" I groaned as I stirred awake, feeling myself on what should have been considered too soft for a bed, I couldn't help but moan as my cheek rubbed against the soft pillow beneath it.
And then I suddenly shot up as the reality of things became clear to me. The bed was something I could never dream of having in the pack and my vision was still blurred but I could tell I was in a very spacious room.
As my vision cleared I could see the chambers properly, it was decorated with silver designs and the floors were obsidian coloured with small white flower designs.
On the walls was a large shelf with a light wood color, several books were arranged, and there was a large wardrobe also. There were also two doors inside the room, one was located at the far edge of the room close to the window while the other was located directly on the opposite side of the bed.
A large fur was placed on the ground beneath the bed, as well as a study table somewhere close to the window, a large mirror on the left side of the bed with a mini table.
It wasn't too grand or anything but it was definitely beautiful. Alas I didn't even get enough time to admire the scenery.
A knock sounded outside the door, and without waiting for my response four maids walked inside the room, bowing their heads as they met my confused gaze.
'Huh? What the hell is going on? Maids? A room which looked like it was made for royals, t..that bastard stranger abducted me. Dammit he just had to knock me out in front of Eugene's tombstone, poor Eugene must be worried about me.'
One of the maids spoke up, with her head still down.. in a monotonous voice she informed.
" My lady, the alpha Ryan, said to properly prepare you for a dinner meeting with his family."
As soon as those words left her mouth they all started drawing close, one with a beautiful red dress on a large square pillow sorta stuff in her hands while the others went about heating the bath up and getting other various things needed to dress me up.
" Oi oi oi, y'all... I don't need your damned help to get dressed, I'm not going anywhere near that bastard so don't waste your damned time." I dismissed them, slumping back on the soft mattress.
I turned my head to look at the maids, they were supposed to leave but they didn't. They stood there, their faces pale as the youngest among them suddenly burst into tears.
" My lady.. please you absolutely cannot refuse, please, he.. he'll punish us.. please I beg of you, my lady please reconsider."
Great, just what I needed.. Now I feel guilty.. damn it, Ryan was it.. you're in for a wonderful surprise, you want me to wear a damned dress to a dinner party? I'll give you one.
With a sigh, I spoke.
" Hah.. alright I'll go, I can take care of myself so there's no need for you to dress me up, place everything down and leave." I told as I got off the comfy embrace of the bed and started taking off my clothes.
Watching them leave one by one I turned to the large wardrobe in the room with a nasty grin.
" This should be Ryan's room right? I wonder what kind of clothes he keeps, maybe I'll find something I like." I mused.
Of course I'd wear his clothes, anything it was.. it was definitely better than putting on a damned dress, that wasn't my style at all, I'm no Princess and I take pride in my ruffian nature that I've got.
