Celeste groaned in frustration as she rose from the bed. Her head felt like she had tumbled down a hill headfirst, and her mouth felt numb.
She blinked severally, trying to filter the harsh rays of sunlight penetrating through the window binds. From the corners of her eye, she noticed a slim figure sitting by the dresser observing her.
Startled, her eyes widened in fear until she realized it was Dimitra.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, groaning slightly as each movement agonized her head.
"Master asked me to care for you till he returns," Dimitra said,
"What? He is gone?...where?" She queried, thrown off by Dimitra's words.
The wheels in her brain began spinning, this wasn't the time to idle away. If she did this right, she would be in Marcello's arms sooner than anticipated.
