It was pointless. The both of them lay there, wide awake and very much aware of the other person.
Celeste tried distracting herself so she could fall asleep, she even tried methods her father had taught her as a little girl so she could fall asleep, but nothing worked.
"You can't sleep?" His deep voice floated through the room.
Celeste was startled at how deep his voice was in the quiet dark room. Remembering his question, she nodded but realized that he couldn't see her.
"Yes...well I'm not used to this"
Lorenzo thought about it carefully, he didn't want her disoriented by morning due to lack of sleep.
"If I left, would you fall asleep?" He asked in a deep rumble.
Celeste considered it, well to be honest the fact that he was close by made her more aware of the fact that he could touch her if he decided to go against his words.
