EXT. OTHER SIDE OF THE CITY – DAY
Braden, Genko, Kakida, and Jamie are now on the opposite side of the city, where chaos reigns. The once-beautiful streets are now littered with debris, and the sound of distant explosions echoes through the air. Civilians are running in all directions, screaming for help, while Evo soldiers are locked in brutal combat with the Legion's forces.
BRADEN
(breathing heavily)
We've got to move fast. Too many civilians are still trapped out here.
JAMIE
(nodding)
We'll split up. Genko and I will handle the eastern block, you and Kakida take the western side.
GENKO
(cracking his knuckles)
Let's clear this place out before it gets worse.
The group divides, sprinting through the wreckage of the city. Braden's speed allows him to zip ahead, identifying Evo civilians trapped under collapsed buildings and within crumbled storefronts. With quick movements, he begins clearing debris, creating paths for people to escape. Kakida uses his sword to slash through wreckage, precise and controlled.
EXT. WESTERN BLOCK – DAY
Braden rushes into a half-collapsed building where he spots a group of civilians, including a mother cradling a baby.
BRADEN
(sternly)
Everyone, stay calm! We're getting you out of here!
He dashes forward, clearing rubble with super speed, creating a clear path to safety. As he moves, his battle pad beeps with more distress signals.
BRADEN
(urgently, into comm)
Kakida, we've got more people trapped in the next building over. I'm sending the coordinates.
Kakida, who is taking out Legion soldiers nearby with lethal precision, acknowledges the message.
KAKIDA
(into comm)
I'll take care of it.
Kakida moves swiftly, slicing through enemy soldiers before heading to the marked location. Inside, a group of Evo children huddle together, terrified. Kakida sheaths his sword, approaching them calmly.
KAKIDA
(gently)
Don't worry. I'm here to get you out. Follow me.
He leads the children outside, guarding them as they make their way to a nearby transport pod.
EXT. EASTERN BLOCK – DAY
On the other side of the city, Genko and Jamie are fighting their way through a heavy wave of Legion soldiers. Genko's rock-hardened fists smash through the enemies with brute force, while Jamie uses his cannon arm to blast through barriers, creating a path for civilians to escape.
GENKO
(grinning)
These guys don't stand a chance!
JAMIE
(seriously)
Focus, Genko. We need to clear this area before more reinforcements arrive.
As they fight, Jamie spots an Evo civilian pinned under a piece of debris. Without hesitation, he transforms his arm into a massive hydraulic lift, carefully raising the debris and freeing the man underneath.
JAMIE
(to the man)
Go! Get to the pods!
Suddenly, a burst of energy explodes from behind them. They turn to see a squad of Legion soldiers closing in, their weapons charged.
GENKO
(gritting his teeth)
Here they come!
Genko charges at the soldiers, his fists slamming into the ground and causing a shockwave that knocks them off their feet. Jamie follows up, firing concentrated energy blasts that disarm the soldiers before they can recover.
EXT. CENTRAL CITY – GINGORDA'S COMMAND POST
Back at the center of the city, Gingorda stands in front of a massive holographic display, coordinating the battle. His fingers fly over the console, sending orders to various units across the battlefield. Don stands beside him, his arms crossed as he surveys the situation.
DON
(sternly)
They're hitting us harder than expected. We've got soldiers dropping, and the pods are filling up fast.
Gingorda nods, his face tense with concentration.
GINGORDA
(calmly)
We knew it wouldn't be easy. But we can't let them overwhelm us. Focus on evacuating the Evos. We need to get as many of them out of the city as possible.
Don taps his comms, sending orders to the front lines.
DON
(to the soldiers)
Everyone, stick to the plan. Evacuate the Evos first, then handle the Legion scum. We don't leave anyone behind.
A soldier rushes up to them, looking panicked.
SOLDIER
(alarmed)
Sir, reports are coming in—Zarvox is moving toward the eastern front. He's taking down Evo soldiers left and right.
Gingorda's eyes narrow.
GINGORDA
(to Don)
We need to stop him before he reaches the pods.
DON
(smiling)
Leave Zarvox to me.
Don grabs his weapons and heads out, moving with deadly intent. Gingorda watches him go, then refocuses on the battle.
INT. NEXUS – TRAINING ROOM
Meanwhile, Laetayeo and Melanie are still trapped in the training room. The simulation had malfunctioned during their session, and now they're stuck inside, unable to get out.
MELANIE
(frustrated)
Why won't this thing let us out? We've been stuck in here for hours!
Laetayeo paces back and forth, his eyes scanning the walls for any sign of weakness.
LAETAYEO
(seriously)
Something's wrong. The system's locking us in. I've tried every override command, and nothing's working.
MELANIE
(nervously)
What if it's more than just a malfunction? What if someone's doing this on purpose?
Laetayeo stops pacing, turning to Melanie with a frown.
LAETAYEO
(quietly)
You might be right. But if someone's trapping us in here, it means they don't want us out there. And that can only mean one thing—the others are in danger.
Melanie looks worried, her hands beginning to glow with her unstable powers.
MELANIE
(trying to stay calm)
We have to get out of here. They need us.
Laetayeo clenches his fists, his mind racing.
LAETAYEO
(sighing)
We need a plan. Maybe... maybe if we combine our powers, we can break through the walls of the simulation. It's risky, but it's the only option we have.
Melanie nods, stepping beside Laetayeo.
MELANIE
(determined)
Let's do it. We can't stay trapped in here while they're out there fighting.
The two of them focus their energy, their hands glowing brighter and brighter as they prepare to unleash everything they've got. The walls of the simulation flicker, but they hold firm. Sweat drips down Laetayeo's face as he pushes his powers to the limit.
LAETAYEO
(gritting his teeth)
Come on... break!
The room trembles, and cracks begin to form in the walls. Melanie's energy surges, and she lets out a shout of exertion as the walls of the training room finally give way. The simulation collapses, and they're suddenly thrust back into reality.
LAETAYEO
(breathing heavily)
We did it.
But their victory is short-lived. As they look around, they realize that they're still inside the Nexus—but something's wrong. The lights are flickering, and alarms are blaring.
MELANIE
(frowning)
What's happening?
LAETAYEO
(realizing)
The Nexus is under attack.

NARRATOR (V.O.):
As the battle rages on in the city, new threats emerge within the safety of the Nexus. Trapped inside, Laetayeo and Melanie face an unknown danger, while their allies fight desperately to save the Evos. But with every passing moment, the Legion draws closer to victory.
