INT. SIMULATION CHAMBER - NEXUS
The scene opens with the six chosen ones lying on the cold, metallic floor of the simulation chamber. The environment around them is a desolate, barren wasteland, with the wind howling through the air and the ground beneath them cracked and dry. Vixon's voice echoes through the chamber, urging them to wake up.
VIXON (V.O.)
Rise and shine, everyone. A new challenge awaits.
LAETAYEO and BRADEN wake up quickly, their instincts honed from the recent battles. KAKIDA and JAMIE follow suit, groaning slightly as they stretch their stiff muscles. MELANIE stirs, rubbing her eyes, but GENKO remains deeply asleep, snoring loudly, oblivious to the urgency around him.
BRADEN (nudging Genko)
Hey, rock boy, time to get up.
GENKO grumbles, swatting at Braden's hand as if it were a fly.
GENKO (sassy)
Five more minutes...
LAETAYEO rolls his eyes, a mischievous smile creeping onto his face. He cups his hands, summoning a small, warm glow of plasma energy, and gently places it near Genko's face. The heat and light stir Genko, who groans and finally sits up, his mood sour.
GENKO (annoyed)
Alright, alright, I'm up. What's the rush?
KAKIDA (pointing to the sky)
That.
They all look up to see a large, glowing arrow hovering in the sky, pointing in the direction they need to go. The arrow pulses rhythmically, as if urging them to move quickly.
VIXON (V.O.)
Your objective is five hours away. Better get moving.
CUT TO:
EXT. SIMULATION ENVIRONMENT - WASTELAND - DAY
The group trudges through the cold, barren landscape, the wind biting at their faces and the endless horizon offering no comfort. The sky above is a dull gray, thick with clouds that threaten to unleash a storm. Laetayeo hums a tune to lift their spirits, his voice carrying a melody that contrasts sharply with their bleak surroundings.
LAETAYEO (singing)
We'll find our way, through night and day, together we stand, come what may...
His singing, though simple, brings a sense of camaraderie to the group. Even Genko, usually gruff and dismissive, finds himself tapping his foot to the rhythm. Hours pass, and the journey feels endless. The cold seeps into their bones, and the weight of their mission bears down on them, but they press on, determined.
BRADEN (shivering)
This place... it feels so real. I can't shake the cold.
MELANIE (nodding)
It's not just the cold. It's like the simulation is trying to break us down before we even reach the objective.
KAKIDA (resolute)
We won't let it. Stay focused. We're stronger than this.
Finally, they arrive at their destination—a large, abandoned facility, half-buried in the desolate landscape. The facility's walls are cracked, and the remnants of a once-thriving complex now stand as a ghostly reminder of the past. As they approach, a swarm of robotic enemies emerges from the shadows, their metallic bodies gleaming in the dim light.
GENKO (groaning)
Not more of these guys...
KAKIDA (stepping forward)
Focus. We take them down, together.
The battle begins with a ferocity that catches the group off guard. The robots are tougher, faster, and more numerous than any they've faced before. Their coordination falters as they struggle to adapt to the new threats.
BRADEN (yelling)
I'm going to try something. Cover me!
Braden activates his super speed, becoming a blur as he circles the battlefield. As he accelerates, he generates a vortex, pulling several robots into its swirling center.
JAMIE (transforming his arm into a cannon)
On it!
Jamie charges his morph hand, transforming it into a powerful energy cannon. He takes aim at the vortex and fires, unleashing a blast that collides with the spinning robots. The resulting explosion sends debris flying, taking out a significant portion of the enemy forces.
LAETAYEO takes to the sky, his plasma energy crackling around him. He targets the re
maining robots, shooting beams of concentrated energy that cut through their armor like a hot knife through butter. Below, GENKO hurls sharp, jagged rocks with deadly precision, each strike shattering a robot into pieces.
MELANIE (cheering)
We did it!
The group stands amidst the wreckage, catching their breath. The victory is hard-won, and the toll of the battle is evident on their faces.
GENKO (smirking, boastful)
Did you see that? I took down those robots like a pro!
LAETAYEO (firmly)
No, we did it. As a team.
Genko's smirk fades as he meets Laetayeo's determined gaze. The tension between them rises, and the air crackles with unspoken conflict. Before Genko can retort, Kakida steps between them, his sword drawn and glowing with a red aura.
KAKIDA (commanding)
Enough. We're here to work together. Act like it.
Braden and Jamie sit nearby, still catching their breath, but the tension in the group is palpable.
BRADEN (impressed)
That blast you shot out of your morph hand was kinda sick.
JAMIE (nodding)Thanks. It's part of my powers. Pretty handy, right?
Meanwhile, Genko paces, frustration etched on his face.
GENKO (fussing)
Why hasn't Gingorda brought us back yet? This is ridiculous!
Kakida, who has been quietly observing, finally speaks up, his voice calm but laced with authority.
KAKIDA (calmly, but firmly)
Can you please be quiet, Genko?
GENKO (defiantly)
And what are you gonna do, stop me?
Kakida's eyes narrow, his sword pointed at Genko's neck, glowing with an ominous red aura.
KAKIDA (dangerously calm)
If I wanted to, I could kill you right now.
GENKO (hardening his skin to solid rock)
It would take a lot more than that to take me down.
The tension between them reaches a boiling point as Kakida's aura intensifies, his eyes burning fiercely.
KAKIDA (menacing)
Don't test me.
Genko, realizing he can't intimidate Kakida like he does others, backs down, muttering under his breath.
GENKO (reluctantly)
Fine, whatever.
Kakida sheaths his sword and turns to the group, his expression serious.
KAKIDA (seriously)
Listen to me, and you won't get killed out here.
Jamie, sitting with Braden, whispers as they watch the exchange, their concern evident.
JAMIE (whispering)
Do you think he would kill us?
BRADEN (thoughtfully)
I wouldn't be surprised. We don't really know him.
As the group begins to settle, Braden notices something unusual about the fallen robots. His curiosity piqued, he walks over to examine the parts.
BRADEN (calling out)
Hey, guys, I think I might know what to do with these parts.
The group gathers around as Braden begins to tinker with the robot pieces, his technological prowess on full display. He works quickly, repurposing the components to create a small, handheld device.
BRADEN (explaining)
This should help us track the source of the robots. It might lead us to whoever—or whatever—is controlling them.
MELANIE (impressed)
You're like a tech wizard, Braden.
Braden smiles modestly, focusing on his task. As he finishes, the device beeps, displaying a signal on its screen.
BRADEN
There. We've got a direction. Let's move.
The group sets off once more, following the signal through the desolate wasteland. The journey is long and grueling, but they push forward, their determination unwavering. Along the way, they encounter more obstacles—treacherous terrain, sudden sandstorms, and the constant threat of more robotic enemies—but they face each challenge head-on, growing stronger with each step.
CUT TO:
INT. GINGORDA'S CONTROL ROOM - NEXUS
Gingorda stands before a large screen, observing the team's progress. His expression is thoughtful, his mind calculating as he watches the chosen ones navigate the simulation. The room is dimly lit, the glow from the monitors casting eerie shadows on the walls.
DON, one of Gingorda's most trusted soldiers with a distinct Cajun accent, enters the room, his boots clicking against the floor.
DON (Cajun accent)
How's the team doin', boss?
GINGORDA (thoughtful)
They're progressing well. A few skirmishes, but nothing unexpected.
Don nods, his eyes flicking to the screen where the chosen ones are displayed.
DON (nodding)
Good to hear. By the way, there was an attack in Argentina. Looks like some Evos were involved. What's the plan?
GINGORDA (decisive)
Send a team. Get those people to safety and bring them here. We need to protect as many as we can.
Don nods again, his expression serious as he turns to leave the room.
DON
Consider it done.
As Don exits, Gingorda's attention returns to the screen. His expression is inscrutable, his mind already on the next steps for the chosen ones. He watches as they continue their march, each step bringing them closer to their ultimate destiny.
FADE OUT.
