INT. NEXUS - GINGORDA'S OFFICE
The scene opens with the chosen ones being transported into Gingorda's spacious, high-tech office. The room, bathed in the soft glow of holographic displays, is a stark contrast to the harsh simulations they've just endured. The walls are lined with advanced technology, screens flickering with data, and holograms of various worlds and civilizations.
The team, still catching their breath from their recent victory, takes in their new surroundings with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
GENKO
(exasperated)
Are we done? Can we go home now?
GINGORDA
(calmly, yet with a hint of gravity)
No, Genko. There's something important you all need to understand.
Gingorda gestures for them to sit around a large circular table that rises smoothly from the floor. The group reluctantly takes their seats, still wary but increasingly curious about what's to come.
GINGORDA
(continuing, his tone becoming more serious)
You are all aware that there are beings called EVOs. But do you know what that really means?
LAETAYEO
(confused)
EVOs? I've heard the term, but I don't really understand.
Gingorda activates a holographic display in the center of the table. It flickers to life, showing various images of people with unique traits—some with unusual skin colors, others with remarkable physical features that set them apart from ordinary humans.
GINGORDA
(explaining, pointing to the display)
EVOs, or Evolved Humans, possess unique traits that set them apart from ordinary humans. Some might be taller, stronger, or more intelligent. They come in many forms, with various abilities and appearances.
The display shifts to a graph showing the physical and mental variations among EVOs. The peaks and valleys illustrate the extreme differences that exist within the EVO population.
GINGORDA
(gesturing to the graph)
Look at this graph. Some EVOs reach extreme heights and weights, others have exceptionally high IQs. Their differences are as varied as they are fascinating.
JAMIE
(intrigued, leaning in closer)
So, what are we then?
Gingorda turns to face them directly, his expression growing more intense, as if the weight of the universe rests on the words he is about to say.
GINGORDA
(pausing for emphasis)
You are Power Locks. The difference between you and the EVOs is profound. EVOs are still human; their powers have limits. But you... you are something more.
MELANIE
(curious, her eyes widening)
What do you mean, something more?
GINGORDA
(explaining, his voice deep with significance)
Your powers are limitless. You are akin to gods. As you grow older, your abilities will continue to strengthen without bound. Your potential is infinite.
The group exchanges shocked glances, their minds reeling as they try to process this revelation. The reality of what they are begins to dawn on them, filling the room with a tense silence.
KAKIDA
(skeptical, his eyes narrowing)
Why do we have these powers? What's the reason behind it?
Gingorda sighs deeply, as if what he's about to reveal weighs heavily on him. He walks over to the wall and activates a larger holographic display, showing a map of ancient Earth with various alien trade routes and outposts marked.
GINGORDA
(sighing, his voice tinged with sadness)
Thousands, possibly billions of years ago, Earth was a bustling interstellar trading post. Aliens from various civilizations came here to exchange resources and knowledge. However, an evil force began attacking these civilizations, forcing them to abandon Earth.
As he speaks, the holographic map animates, showing alien ships arriving and then fleeing from Earth as dark, ominous forces close in. The image shifts to show DNA strands intertwining, symbolizing the mixing of alien and human genes.
GINGORDA
(continuing, his tone becoming more intense)
When these aliens left, they left behind their genes. Over time, these genes mixed with the human population. The result was the Power Lock gene, which remained dormant until recently.
BRADEN
(thoughtfully, trying to piece it all together)
So, we're descendants of these ancient aliens?
GINGORDA
(nodding, confirming Braden's suspicion)
In a way, yes. Jamie, Melanie, Kakida, Braden—you all have the Power Lock gene. Genko and Laetayeo, your origins are unique. Laetayeo, you were born from a virgin in a miraculous event. Genko, your case is still a mystery to us.
GENKO
(skeptical, crossing his arms)
So, what's our purpose? Why are we here?
Gingorda walks to a large window and, with the press of a button, opens the blinds. The team's breath catches as they behold the breathtaking view of a utopian city below—gleaming towers of silver and glass, flying vehicles zipping through the air, and lush green spaces where people, both human and EVO, live in harmony.
GINGORDA
(with pride, his voice filled with emotion)
This is Utopia. A safe haven I've built for EVOs and those with the Power Lock gene. But it's under threat. Ashimoto is enslaving and killing EVOs, placing them in concentration camps.
The group moves to the window, staring in awe at the city below. In the distance, dark clouds loom over what they realize are the concentration camps—ominous, prison-like structures that mar the otherwise idyllic landscape.
GINGORDA
(urgently, turning back to the group)
They need you. The world needs you. Without your intervention, many will die. Your powers can save them, protect them from Ashimoto's tyranny.
LAETAYEO
(resolutely, his voice firm)
Then we have to help them. We can't just stand by and do nothing.
MELANIE
(nodding, her voice filled with determination)
Laetayeo's right. We have these powers for a reason. We need to use them.
JAMIE
(firmly, his resolve clear)
Count me in. We can't let Ashimoto continue his reign of terror.
BRADEN
(determined, his voice steady)
I'm with you. We need to find my father, but protecting these people comes first.
Genko hesitates, his usual bravado replaced by uncertainty. The reality of their situation weighs heavily on him, and for the first time, he feels unsure of himself.
GENKO
(quietly, almost to himself)
Fine. I'll help. But I still have questions.
KAKIDA
(seriously, his voice carrying authority)
We all do. But right now, our priority is stopping Ashimoto and saving as many lives as we can.
Gingorda turns back to them, a look of determination on his face. His voice is filled with conviction as he speaks.
GINGORDA
(with conviction, his voice resonating with authority)
You are the world's last hope. Together, you can change the course of history. Will you accept this responsibility?
The group exchanges nods, a silent agreement passing between them. The weight of the responsibility settles on their shoulders, but so does a sense of purpose. They turn back to the window, their eyes set on the distant camps. They know that their lives will never be the same, but they are ready to face the challenges ahead.
FADE OUT.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
