Wanda and Pietro stood at the gates of Midtown High School, their new identities firmly in place. Wanda adjusted her backpack, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness.
"Ready for this, Pietro?" she asked, glancing at her brother.
Pietro grinned. "As ready as I'll ever be. Remember, blend in and don't use our powers unless absolutely necessary."
Wanda nodded, taking a deep breath. They walked through the gates and into the bustling school halls.

Pietro found himself in gym class, where Flash Thompson and his gang were bullying a smaller student. Recognizing the kid from his files, Pietro knew this was Peter Parker.
"Hey, leave him alone," Pietro called out, stepping forward.
Flash sneered. "Or what, new kid?"
Pietro didn't back down. Using his martial arts training, he deftly disarmed Flash and his cronies, making it clear he was not someone to be messed with.
Peter looked at him with gratitude. "Thanks. I'm Peter, by the way."
"Pietro," he replied, extending a hand. "Let's get to class."

Wanda's first class was chemistry, where she was partnered with Gwen Stacy. As they worked on their experiment, they quickly struck up a conversation.
"So, you're new here?" Gwen asked, adjusting her safety goggles.
"Yeah, just moved here with my brother," Wanda replied.
Mary Jane Watson, sitting nearby, chimed in. "Where'd you move from?"
Wanda thought quickly. "A small town upstate. We're still getting used to the city."
By the end of the day, Wanda had made friends with both Gwen and Mary Jane, feeling more at ease.

**POV: Ryuk (Ark)**
Ryuk monitored Wanda and Pietro's progress from his underground base. He was pleased to see they were integrating well into school life. It was a good start.
Later that week, Ryuk decided to check on May Parker at Feast. He found her busy but cheerful, overseeing the activities at the community center.
"Ryuk! It's good to see you," May greeted him warmly. "How have you been?"
"Busy as always, but it's rewarding work," he replied. "How are things here?"
"Wonderful, thanks to your donation. We were able to expand our services and help more people."
During their conversation, May invited Ryuk to their Thanksgiving feast at her home. "You should come. It would mean a lot to Peter and me."
Ryuk accepted the invitation, and he also decided to bring Wanda and Pietro along. He wanted them to experience a traditional American Thanksgiving, and he knew they would enjoy it.

"Wow, that smells amazing!" Peter exclaimed as they entered the house.
May smiled warmly. "Thank you for bringing this, Ryuk. It's such a thoughtful addition."
The evening was filled with laughter and stories. Wanda and Pietro quickly warmed up to Peter and his friends, while Ryuk and May exchanged smiles and shared moments that felt almost like family.
As they sat around the table, enjoying the feast, Ryuk felt a sense of contentment. Despite the challenges and dangers that lay ahead, moments like these reminded him of the importance of family, friends, and community. And as he watched Wanda and Pietro laughing with their new friends, he knew he had made the right choice in bringing them here.
May raised her glass. "To new friends and family."
