"There's nothing I can do Mrs Salvador. Miguel isn't ready to let me off his hook anytime soon." Joanna mumbled, sniffing softly.
"It's okay dear. One thing I know is, my son will fall madly in love with you. It's just a matter of time and all of this will be over." Mrs Salvador assured, staring intently into her eyes.
Joanna had almost scoffed out loudly, finding Mrs Salvador words as some fairy tales that would never exist.
"And when would that happen?" Joanna couldn't help but spit the question out of her mouth.
Mrs. Salvador's expression softened, her hand still resting gently on Joanna's shoulder. "I know it may seem impossible now, my dear," she said, her voice gentle. "But love is a strange and powerful thing. I believe that, in time, Miguel will come to see you not as a means to settle a debt, but as a person worthy of his love and respect."
