Mrs. Salvador smiled at Joanna, her expression warm and loving. "Joanna, my dear," she said, her voice filled with affection. "I'm so glad that Lillian is here with you. I know that she will take good care of you while I'm away.
"I'm going to head home for a while, to freshen up and gather some things for you. But I'll be back before you know it, okay?"
Joanna nodded, her face still flushed with gratitude. "Thank you, Mrs. Salvador," she said, her voice filled with emotion. She would never expect Mrs Salvador to be so loving.
How did such a beautiful, loving and caring woman give birth to a son like Miguel? Joanna thought to herself.
As Mrs. Salvador left the room, Joanna's gaze fell on Lillian, who was watching her with a concerned expression.
"Are you okay?" Lillian asked, her voice gentle. "I know this must be so hard for you, Joanna. But I want you to know that you're not alone. I'm here for you, always. What really happened to you, Joanna?"
