Writing is hard. (Yes, this is the third time I've said this.)

__________

Kindaka P.O.V.

*bang*

*bang*

I effortlessly move out of the trajectory of the bullets as I bolt my way out of the building.

The man on my shoulder speaks. "Why the hell are they still shooting!?"

Well, if I received an assassination attempt, I might as well get a kidnapping charge.

*BANG*

I jump to the side to avoid a sniper shot. "I'm guessing they're all in on it!"

Shit, this conspiracy is rooted more than I thought.

Some of the goons protecting Soichi tried to assassinate him. However, since I was there, I could kill them and leave the office before reinforcements arrived.

Damn, they won't let up. Even worse, Sei got me and Yotsumura tied into this shit.

With my speed, I could have lost these randoms, but carrying another person makes escaping tedious.

The chairman needs to stay alive at all costs to return after Sei dies.

Taking care of these nobodies would be a sinch, but if I start killing even more JAA members, then I'm going to be in bad shape for the future.

As annoying as this is, I'd rather not be on the run my entire life.

Then again, this thing will only stop if Sei gets dealt with, but if I kill him without evidence, then I'm still screwed.

*bang*

I tilt my head to the side to avoid another bullet.

I'll need to regroup with Satoru to figure this out. He ended up killing his wife, but who knows the circumstance, given the random shit that is going on.

She was probably in on this whole thing, too.

Soichi spoke. "If I get out of this alive, I'm going to kill Sei with my own hands."

I smirk. "You'll need to get in line."

While he was calm outside, I could guess his thoughts.

He has a family, and now the JAA can do whatever they want with them and blame me or Satoru.

I'll need to find out where they're at to keep them away from the JAA.

Sei, you won today, but don't you think I will lie down and let you pull this stunt without consequences.

With much protest from Soichi, I ramp up my speed and disappear from our pursuer's sight.

*bleh*

Soichi threw up.

Eugh.

...

Order Apartment Complex: 3rd P.O.V.

After Sakamoto had a mid-life crisis after finding out about love, he finally made his way home.

When the door opened, Sakamoto stood at the entrance, groceries in hand, with a blank look.

He had just gone through the most challenging trial in his life.

...

Talking to a woman.

...

*boof*

Like Toji had done countless times, he fell face-first into the couch after putting the grocery bags on the floor.

He thought to himself. 'I'm an assassin in the Order, and I can't even interact like a normal human.'

The last thing on his mind was Kindaka 'betraying' the Order.

It was simply work while Aoi would be his 'future wife.'

Someone already on the couch spoke. "What the hell happened to you?"

Since it was already late, Toji was already on the other side of the couch because a ten-year-old was taking his old room.

Given that Sakamoto doesn't express his emotions, if he is tired of something, then it must be serious.

Sakamoto lifted his head and blinked. "Ah, I forgot you were here."

Toji rested his fist on his cheek. "I'm going to bed, so go sulk somewhere else."

Sakamoto sighed and stood up but immediately halted.

A lightbulb went off in his head.

His eyes slowly widened. 'Doesn't Toji have a kid? Does that mean he knows how to deal with relationships!?'

*whoosh*

Sakamoto instantly spun to look at Toji with a serious face. "I need your help."

Toji closed his eyes and sighed. "Help? With what? Honestly, I've been tired of helping people around here. Help out green hair a single time, and now I have a job training a kid."

Suddenly, Toji was lost in his thoughts. 'At least it's a job. Gambling everything away got boring, especially having done nothing except gambling in my previous world.'

To Toji's annoyance, Sakamoto sat back on the couch and kept his serious look. "As I understand it, you're a father, correct? That means you've been in a relationship."

That statement caught Toji entirely off guard.

Toji rubbed his forehead. "I'm too tired for this shit."

Sakamoto kept his eyes on Toji. "I'll pay you."

Toji's eyebrow raised. "Do you think you can pay me to help you with relationship advice?"

Sakamoto's eyes narrowed slightly. "Five million yen."

...

"Continue."

...

Sakamoto started recounting the events.

After a while, Toji spoke. "Want my honest answer? I don't have a clue."

Sakamoto recoiled in shock. 'Even someone like Toji can't understand women!?'

He continued. "The first time I was married, she was the one who made the first move. The second time was a hookup turned relationship."

Sakamoto's eyes twitched. 'Even if he told me, I still can't understand how someone like Toji managed to have two relationships in his life.'

Toji was the definition of a bum.

Well, he was after SHE died.

Toji's eyes narrowed as he thought about his past.

His first wife pulled him out of his miserable life.

It was the happiest time in his life. He had a kid and thought he could live the rest of his life without being bound to Jujutsu society.

However, as someone born into the Zenin clan and with a heavenly restriction, it was inevitable that he would be pulled back in some way.

In this case, the only person he truly loved died.

He hated the Zenin clan.

He hated Jujutsu.

He hated fate.

Even trying everything he could to oppose it, he still failed.

The same Jujutsu society he tried to oppose ended up in his death.

When his first wife died, Toji didn't have the same guidance, making him lost in life once again.

Killing, gambling, and living for money distracted him from living his life.

How could he help a teenager with relationship advice when he still didn't know what to do with his life?

Sakamoto's head drooped. 'I'm so screwed.'

They both went silent, lost in their thoughts.

...

Toji spoke. "Commit to it. Pursue it. If you overthink it, it will only get in your way. And in the end, do everything you can to keep her safe and remove anything threatening your happiness. I've lost everything; don't take it for granted."

...

He held his hair. 'What the fuck am I even saying?'

Sakamoto sighed. "Sorry, I brought it up. Thanks, Toji, I appreciate it."

Toji didn't respond, still looking at the ground.

Sakamoto returned a sigh. "I'll send the money to your account tomorrow morning."

Toji laid back down on the couch and stared at the ceiling. "Keep the money. I'm going to bed."

Without pushing any further, Sakamoto stood up and went upstairs to his room, going to sleep to have time to think about the future in the morning.

...

Toji remained on the couch, unmoving.

His eyes were fixated on the ceiling, but his mind was elsewhere. "Romance, huh?"

He closed his eyes and turned over, the room silent once more.
