Accessible only through a labyrinth of hidden passages, the underground city sprawled directly below St. Peter's Basilica—a shadowed reflection of the holy site above, constructed to mirror its Renaissance glory yet shrouded in dim light and secretive purpose. An intricate network of corridors and chambers, veiled from mortal sight, housed the leaders of this secretive society, centered around the authority of the Eminence—a title of supreme reverence, as if a shadow of the Pope himself.
