Chapter 17
"Okay. That's it," I said as I took my hands off of her smooth back. As much as I wanted to prolong this, it was getting late and I needed to be in the university tomorrow.
Not only that, I also needed to progress slowly and tread lightly into the forbidden territory.
"Oh, that it?" She asked, obviously sad from her tone. From the looks of it, she was enjoying it a bit too much and I abruptly stopped supplying her with it, of course she would want more.
"Like I said, many sessions. That was just the beginning. You need more." I said before I added, "But any more massage won't do you any good so it is better I let you sleep now."
Besides, it won't feel as good anymore because I was out of Ki.
"Fine, but you better do it again because you're nowhere near making it up to me," Samantha said with a cute smirk that made me smile as well. "Sure. I will make sure you become addicted to my massages," Literally.
"Great," Samantha replied. "Night," I said and she replied with the same word, "Night."
I left her room and returned to mine. All said and done, I needed to deal with the problems that were coming my way. The first one was my leveling problem. I received two quests so far and the rewards out of them were good, however, both of them were related to my father.
I had no problem with agreeing with my father as long as I obtained good rewards. For now, though, I needed to deal with the problem I had agreed to as well. The college.
To be honest, I didn't want to study but it was a requirement if I wanted to sit on the throne of my father's company. All said and done, my father owned a company that was worth billions and I wouldn't need money for the rest of my life and I would have enough resources and connections to clean the treasures from the inventory as well.
I mean, suddenly, an unknown origin cold and other items began to circulate in the market. It was impossible heads wouldn't turn.
Not to mention there was a chance I wouldn't be able to sell them as well. However, enough connections could help me with that. There was an option of smelting the taeles of bronze, silver, and gold but I had no idea where I could get such equipment from.
So all things considered, university life was for me.

I woke up early in the morning. Very early, almost at dawn. I wasn't very tired when I went to sleep and the routine from Murim came with me as well where I slept with two eyes open.
I stood up, dressed myself, and then realized, there was no car. My car. The car which was confiscated by Dad yesterday. There was a chance he might have left the keys in his bedroom but that chance was very, very slight.
So going to his bedroom and snooping around wasn't the correct choice. I left the basement and made my way to the bathroom. I took a shower as the bathroom was empty at this time of the day. After that, I made my way to the pool and just sat there and meditated. I had no Ki so this meditation was more like calming my mind and collecting my thoughts.
"That's a nice surprise," I heard the familiar voice that belonged to my father. I opened my eyes and looked at him. He had just entered the poolside area and was making his way to a recliner when he said, "I expected you to be tardy after college but it really does seem like you have picked up some good habits."
Since he was referring to my early wake-up, I didn't dismiss the credit because it was free and said, "Thanks. I try to keep organized."
"Hmm. That's a good trait of a man. That said, I remember taking your car yesterday. How do you plan on getting to college?" He asked.
"Since I have no money, I intend to leave an hour early and walk there," I replied to which he nodded and said, "That's a good thing. And if you're worried about money, maybe you should look into a job. Being my son, some jobs may seem insignificant, but every job is important. Remember, I started as a waiter."
That was a surprise because Dad had never mentioned any of that to any of us. I nodded because I didn't want to get deep into it and said, "I am thinking of starting something but I need to scope it out first."
"Something, as in a business?" He asked.
Kind of like a business so, "Yeah."
"That's good. You need a foundation, just like me. Apple doesn't far away from the tree. I also didn't accept what my father gave me and forged my own path. I was very disappointed when your brother followed me in my footsteps, making his name out of mine. But I am glad you are not trying to do the same." Dad said that caught me by a big surprise.
Dad was disappointed in Denver, the carbon copy dad Denver, the same one who was the sole comparable target for me whenever I obtained an A while he got an A+.
I was learning a lot of new things today.
Dad stood up, threw me a pair of keys, and said, "This is the key to my garage downtown. There is a car there. it isn't like yours, but it will do just fine. You can pay me once you earn some cash."
I caught the keys and was a little weirded out. Was he here to give me these? Was he testing me all along? Typical dad, I thought.
Whatever, I had a ride now. All I needed to do was get it.
**********
After breakfast, which I whipped for myself because the rest of the house doesn't wake up until at least eight and I needed to be out of the house by seven because the downtown was at least an hour away, by foot.
I reveled in the familiar yet unfamiliar sights of the city, ignoring its residents because I was no longer that much interested in them.
I arrived at the garage by almost eight and opened it. what I saw was a car, well, that was just that, a car. At least it wasn't a hash back.
A Dodge charger which I estimated to be from at least the seventies. If I wasn't mistaken, it was Dad's first car or second, he never specified. He also never let any of us drive it because it was too precious for him. Giving it to me, the most irresponsible of his children was incomprehensible.
I didn't mind though. All I needed was a car even if it was an antique. I entered the car and locked the garage behind me. I revved down the streets of the city, attracting some strange gazes.
If I had to talk about efficiency, I doubted this car would even go above ninety, but it was noisy. Not too much to be an inconvenience, but it was still noisy than a normal car.
It ran smoothly though. In just ten minutes, I arrived at the university and made my way to the office to get signed up. The first class was at 8:30 so I still had about fifteen minutes.
The process was quick thanks to my name because the university was practically funded by my family. I was also given my schedule and I made my way to the class, which was calculus. Great.
Who puts calculus as the first class of the day? You need to ease a young mind into it, not just bombard it with the toughest subject of life.
I entered the class which stopped the chatter in the class because they saw a new face but before anyone could do anything, the teacher entered and his gaze went to me first as he said, "Ahh… Mr. Conner, please take a seat. After the lecture, you can visit me in my office."
"Of course," I replied and took the nearest empty seat. The lecture began and it wasn't something very difficult to grasp. I didn't even need to ask any questions because this guy was breaking it down nicely and I also wasn't a monkey who couldn't understand basic things.
The class soon came to an end and since there were still fifteen minutes in the next class, I followed the professor to his office.
I knocked on his door and entered after getting permission. His office was the standard professor's office so there was no need to get into much detail about it.
"Hello, Mr. Conner, once again. I am Professor Mac and you will address me as so." He started with an introduction.
"Yes, professor," I simply replied.
"Good. Now, as to why you are here…."
