Chereads / Rakshasa: The lewd Demon returns / Chapter 3 - The return stone (1)

Chapter 3 - The return stone (1)

Chapter 3

[A marvelous achievement]

Just as the man before me said something about reward, a notification startled me but it wasn't alone. Many more followed and flooded my vision.

[An impossible grade quest has been completed]

[You are the first to finish that quest as a human]

[You have gained the title 'Irregular achiever']

That's a terrible name but I didn't argue. I wanted to click on the title to check what it was about but there were still many notifications left to check.

[You have completed the quest 'Apostle of otherworld']

[All tasks have been completed]

[Rewards have been granted]

[Would you like to receive your rewards now?]

[Yes\No]

I obviously clicked on yes without wasting another second.

[Reward #1: All stats +10]

[Reward #2: Skill 'All eyes and beyond' has been granted]

[Reward #3: Return stone has been granted]

[Skill: All eyes for beyond]

[Grade: SSS]

[Description: Looking beyond what you see on a face is a skill that is gained after a long life

However, no need to go for that any longer

Look what is inside of a human heart with your own eyes

Effect: For five minutes, know what the target in front of you is thinking

Cost: 100 Ki]

[Restrictions:

>You will only perceive the emotions of the target

>You will only get the gist of their thoughts, not what they are thinking down to the letter]

To be honest, that wasn't a skill that was too useful for me. I mean, I already had a thousand years under my belt so I have pretty good experience to tell what a person is thinking to some extent.

Of course, that doesn't mean I was always right so having something that is always right is a better option. After all, nowhere in the description or the restrictions does it mention that the skill could be inaccurate.

I ignored it and checked the next reward. The return stone sounded very hopeful. If it could do what I thought it could, then I was rewarded for my efforts and although I would have been pissed to just receive this much as a reward when I completed the quest, after living in the Murim, if I would have just received that stone as a reward, then it would have been enough. I just hope it was what I thought it was.

[Return stone]

[Grade: Undetermined]

[Description: Return where you belong]

[Effect: Return to the point of your life where it matters the most]

[Restrictions:

>The stone doesn't take the user where the user wants but the user needs to be

>The stone has to be recharged with a hundred human lives to work

>Cooldown after use is 30 days]

I didn't know what the description, or the effect, or the restrictions meant. I couldn't wait to use it to see if it would let me return to my previous life.

"It will." The man before me said. That was it. those were all the words I needed to receive confirmation of my fears that had now turned into my joy.

I could return.

"Be careful though. After living as Rakshasa for so long, I doubt your life would be any uneventful." The man before me said but I didn't care. I simply smiled and said, "When I return, what would happen?"

"Nothing. You will become who you were at that time. A simple, weak, vulnerable human." The man said.

"Haha." I chuckled. In the world of Murim, if I desired to return home, I also desired to be normal, weak, and vulnerable again. Just like I was now because as strong as I got, I began to lose my emotions. I never wanted to lose them again. Never again.

"So you managed to retain your human part even after that long. Admirable." The man said, praised practically. If I had to guess, what he said I did was something not many would have managed to keep before.

"Of course, they didn't. They all turned into monsters. Each was worse than the last one. Be proud, Rakshasa. That impossible grade quest wasn't the only thing you managed to achieve in your thousand-year-long life." The man once again praised me, which actually made me happier than anything else.

"How do I charge it?" I asked since the restrictions to use it require a hundred human lives.

"Nothing. The first-time use is free. It comes with a cost after that." He informed me and I didn't need to hear any more.

I hurriedly activated the stone by pressing on the rune in the middle of it. It began to shine and while my vision began to be clouded by that shine, I heard the man say, "Good luck. We shall meet again."

Oh hell naw! I was never meeting this dude again. Next time, I'd be choosing hell.

*******

Piinnnggg!!!!

A terrible headache assaulted me, my senses screaming at me in pain. This pain was something I hadn't felt in quite a while. I mean, Ki could alleviate any temporary symptoms of the human body like fever and such.

As I opened my eyes, the dark room stung my eyes even though there was only a slight light source in the corner of the room. It still hurt though because even that small thing was killing my head.

I closed my eyes and tried to use Ki to alleviate all these symptoms only to find out I had none.

Great. But at least that meant I wasn't in hell\Murim anymore. I had returned, with a terrible headache, the smell of piss around me, and no idea as to where the fuck I was.

All I knew was this terrible headache and sting in my eyes every time I tried to open them.

So I did what I could in this situation and that was nothing. I closed my eyes and began to rub my temples with my hands to alleviate the headache to some degree.

After about ten minutes, my eyes were no longer like before and opened with a slight sting. My headache was alleviated a bit too, not by too much but just enough for me to take in my surroundings.

The first thing my eyes fell on was the table before me. On the table, I saw some lines of white powder which made my eyes flinch a bit because that was the cause of my death in the first place.

The next thing I saw was the naked girl to my right, with her eyes closed by her heaving chest indicating she was at least breathing.

Usually, I would be all over her giant chest, molding it to my desired shape and pinching her nipples so much that she would be screaming in ecstasy and pain until her screams woke up the neighbors.

However, I had other things to worry about. Ignored the naked girl and turned my head to the right where another unconscious, naked girl lay. Not losing in terms of beauty to the girl on my left.

Still, I ignored her as well. If I had to guess, I was back to the place when I died. It was the moment I regretted the most so maybe the stone brought me back here because of that.

I turned my head to examine the rest of the room only to see a few more naked girls and a naked man. Now these girls I didn't remember because I never made an effort to remember a girl because I was only interested in getting their panties off.

But I remembered this guy, even after a thousand years in the Murim.

Kyle, my best friend in college was the first friend I ever made out of the city and in college. We easily hit it off. Rich handsome playboys who were only interested in partying and doing drugs. Of course, we were going to be best friends all over the campus and we were.

I wouldn't say that he was the bad influence on me who got me into drinking and drugging because I was the one who did that to him. Kyle was only ever interested in pussy and party but I was the one who got him hooked to drugs.

After all, I would get a cut every time he bought something from my\our dealer. It was like that invite your friend and get privileges type shit. I got him hooked and he became a steady buyer, benefitting the dealer who didn't forget to thank me by cutting me some extra. I mean come on, it wasn't like I was interested in money. I had tons of it.

Once I was done examining the entire room and making sure that other than me, no one else died that night, because the last thing I needed was a case on my ass, I sat on the couch next to a busty woman in her mid-thirties.

I didn't know about the rest but I also remembered her. But I would get back to her in a minute. For now, I needed to come to terms with this thing.

[Synchronization complete]

[System reboot successful]
