Chapter 27
"What do you mean that he's one of us?" Arthur asked visibly confused.
"I meant the Nightstalker was a vampire." Lee clarified.
The whole alliance including Arthur and Felix were shocked to the extent they nearly fell off their seats.
"But how's this possible? We all saw him that day. He looked anything but a Vampire. He looked like a demon straight from the depths of hell. So how could he be a vampire?" Sophia asked the question that was on everyone's mind.
Hearing the question, Lee couldn't help but chuckle.
"I guess I should explain myself better then." Lee said. "You see, the Nightstalker, was a vampire. In fact he was part of the very first council."
"You see, the Nightstalker's name was Rowa. He was the leader of the Fourth family. He was part of the very first vampires." Lee explained.
"So why was he banished then" Arthur asked.
"Well the problem was that Rowa, used to research about forbidden magic and he used to experiment on his family members in secret. So when the very first council found out, he was warned sternly to stop practicing and experimenting with forbidden magic."
"But he didn't listen. He continued experimenting. He even went as far as experimenting on the other leaders family members. And when the council found out they tried to banish him but they were unable to." Lee stopped to look at the faces of the youngsters to see if they were listening.
"So why were they unable to banish him?" Zeph asked.
"Well it was because they found out that he was too powerful to be banished. What the other leaders didn't know was that Rowa had also been experimenting on himself too. Making him so much powerful that they were unable to defeat him." Lee said.
Lee stopped speaking for some time because he was suddenly tired so one of the leaders decided to continue from where Lee stopped.
"So how did they defeat him?" Axel asked impatiently, wanting to listen to the rest of the tale.
"When the leaders found out they couldn't defeat him that easily, they didn't know what to do. They were at a loss of what to do." Bryce explained.
"But it wasn't until one of the leaders from the third family which is 'House Of Eternal Dominion'. That's our family Arthur. Discovered the Heart Of The Vampires and that's what turned the tides after years of battling with the Nightstalker. The Nightstalker was now banished to somewhere unknown and ever since then no one was able to unlock the Heart of the vampire again until you, Arthur." Bryce concluded.
"But did the Nightstalker ever attack again? Ever since then." Arthur asked.
"There was no citing of him anywhere until recently, maybe he didn't appear again because he might be gathering more power and energy for a big attack like recently." Clark replied.
After that revelation, the whole room was silent no one said anything until Xandros broke the silence.
"I hope all of your questions has been answered?" Xandros asked.
"I have a question to ask please." Sophia said politely.
"You may ask your question." Lee permitted her to speak.
"So I wanted to know if the council knows what the Nightstalker's motive is." Sophia asked.
"Well he's known motive since when he was banished is to destroy the whole council and rule over the whole vampires as the King of the Vampires." Lee answered.
"Isn't there anyway we can fish him out, before he launches another attack?" Zeph asked.
"Well, we don't know how to find him or to locate him. But we are hoping that Sophia can find him out just like she managed to know that the Nightstalker was coming." Edward who hadn't say anything for a long time replied.
"I promise to try my best in order to locate the Nightstalker to the best of my ability" Sophia promised.
"Great if there are no more questions, then I guess this is the end of today's meeting. I will implore all of you to go and prepare in earnest in case the Nightstalker struck again." Lee warned.
"I doubt he will come back anytime soon. With the grave injuries Arthur gave him, he won't be coming back anytime soon." Axel said.
"Great. But still all of us need to prepare. Now since there's no more contributions or questions, let's end today's meeting." Lee said and then stood up with the rest of the Leaders.
And then all of the leaders left the room leaving the alliance and Felix in the room together.
After some time, they managed to leave the room to head to their respective Kingdoms.
On the way going, Arthur was stopped countless times by some Vampires that were showering him with gifts, most especially from the females.
The gifts giving continued until he got to his kingdom, that was when he realized that he forgot something.
Because standing in his way were a whole lot of vampires especially females. They didn't see him until.
"Hey, look it's Arthur." A Vampire girl screamed.
And then in an instant, he was surrounded by a whole lot of Vampires congratulating and giving Arthur gift.
"Can you please go on a date with me?" A very attractive female asked him.
Arthur heard her but he wasn't feeling like going on a date with her because he had a lot on his mind.
If it was the Arthur of before, when he hadn't met the Nightstalker then he would have quickly agreed on going on a date with her. In fact even possibly doing more than that.
After some time the royal guards of the third family managed to come and clear off the crowds and get Arthur to the castle safely.
And then Arthur managed to get to his room to rest because he was drained because of the meeting. He realized that being in the meeting with the leaders was much more harder than fighting the Nightstalker.
And after some times, Arthur managed to fall asleep which was a rarety for vampires because they rarely sleep.
