Chapter 39 - Chapter 38 - The Final Showdown

Green Goblin sneered as he controlled his glider, rushing toward Mindy with the blade tip exuding a chilling aura.

Mindy, undeterred, adjusted the control wrench on her device, re-engaging the rope mechanism to move at high speed. As the gas expelled and the fan whirred, Mindy soared into the air, repositioning herself on the ceiling.

"Little tricks," she taunted, enjoying the thrill of her new three-dimensional maneuvering device. She admired the device's ease of use, feeling like Mikasa from her favorite comics. Mindy had practiced intensively with the training methods from the comics and was thrilled to apply them in combat for the first time.

While Mindy contemplated the technology behind her device, she threw a dart from her side bag, her curiosity piqued by its capabilities. Green Goblin, puzzled by the device's impressive range, adjusted his flight path, deploying a micro machine gun. A hail of bullets and bombs rained down on Mindy, who deftly maneuvered between the pillars, dodging the onslaught.

Green Goblin, infuriated by Mindy's agility, roared in frustration. The sight of Spider-Man lying on the ground while this young girl outmaneuvered him drove him mad. His anger clouded his judgment, making him increasingly reckless.

Mindy took advantage of Green Goblin's disarray. She zipped through the room, flashing past the bombs and darting to Green Goblin's side. With a swift, powerful swing of her katana, she struck the Green Goblin's armor, sending sparks flying.

Despite the strength of Green Goblin's alloy armor, Mindy's high-speed attack had a significant impact. The glider faltered, sending Green Goblin crashing headfirst into the wall. Mindy, thrilled by her success, wished for an audience to witness her triumph.

Green Goblin, struggling to clear the debris from his body, chuckled with a mix of insanity and pain. His voice, now rasping with fury, was filled with desperation. "You all want me dead, so let's die together!"

He revealed a new weapon from his glider—a missile designed to destroy with a 20-meter blast radius. With a mad grin, he launched the missile toward Mindy, aiming to take them both down.

Just as the missile hurtled through the air, a new figure appeared. A purple sphere materialized in front of Mindy, absorbing the missile's energy in a massive explosion that rocked the building but left Mindy unharmed.

"Impossible!" Green Goblin gasped as the destructive force was absorbed by the figure in midair, who remained calm and composed.

Mindy, eyes wide with shock, saw Gali—her new ally—emerge, having absorbed the missile's energy effortlessly. "I'm Gali. Where did you get this device?" Gali asked, eyeing Mindy's equipment with curiosity.

Green Goblin, realizing he was outmatched, attempted to retreat. But before he could escape, Gali swiftly closed the distance and struck him with her power. Green Goblin was obliterated without a chance to react.

Mindy, trembling and wide-eyed, stuttered, "I picked it up from a trash bag. It's really true, I swear!"

Gali, still absorbing the aftermath of the battle, looked confused. "Picked it up from a trash bag?"

Xu Mo and Gwen, alerted by the commotion, arrived at the scene. They saw Peter lying unconscious with debris scattered around him. Gali, whom they had encountered before, stood nearby.

Gwen, noticing the strange situation, asked, "Gali, why are you here?"

Gali smiled innocently and replied, "I was helping my friends fight the bad guys."

Mindy, breaking into a cold sweat, nodded vigorously. "Yes, yes, Gali and I are good friends!"

Xu Mo, with a smirk, probed further, "So, what's her name?"

Gali hesitated, and Mindy's heart raced, fearing the worst. "Um, Gali," she managed to say, her mind racing with a desperate plea for relief.
