Chapter 1 - The Annihilation Maker

Currently in a very fancy office sat two men, one seemed to be in his late 20s, with a neatly trimmed beard and long black hair. The other was an old man in a black suit and tie as he looked at a file.

"Samuel Curvin, 29 years old, Assassin for Hire. Best of your trade, very impressive for a world with no magic in it."

Samuel had his arms crossed and his feet planted firmly on the floor.

"If I can, I would like to ask what I am doing here. Last I remember, I was shot through the head by my girlfriend."

"You were. Your organization made every single one of you a sleeper agent and you two were planning on defecting so they took care of both of you. If it makes you feel any better she killed herself when she learned what she did."

He sighed as he covered his eyes.

"I see, it hurts to hear that. She was too good for our rotten world. What will happen to us now?"

"She has passed on. I will introduce myself, I am Kasaran, a God. You could say we are Gods of Reincarnation. You were selected as random to be reincarnated. We tried to offer the same deal to your love, but she chose to give you her wish."

Samuel thought about it carefully.

"We only get one wish right?"

Kasaran nodded.

"Yes, and at random. I won't keep you here long as I can tell you are not in the right state of mind."

Kasaran began typing away at his computer before he 'loaded' up the two wishes he had available. He hit randomize causing his computer to start going through trillions of options.

Many were absolute garbage some were god tier as was expected. The Computer randomizer eventually stopped at the first gift.

"Annihilation Maker, what a wonderful surprise."

Samuel smiled to himself as if that was from a simpler time in his youth.

'DxD, how many years has it been.'

"Not a bad reminder of a better time, now for my lovely Elanore's gift. Show me what she got me."

"Of course."

Once Kasaran hit the randomizer the same thing happened with the computer going through hundreds of options. Eventually, what it said made Kasaran smile.

"By my beard, a pure World Sage bloodline."

When Samuel heard the word World Sage he grinned.

"Is it what I think it is?"

"Yes, it is. You will be loved by mana, your blood will be closer to the Elixer Of Immortality, strength will flow from within, and your mind and soul shall know no damage. Your lovely girlfriend gave you a great gift."

Samuel sighed as he knew she was gone, but he would not forget her.

"I am ready to go."

"I hope you find your place in your next life wherever that is."

When the god snapped his fingers, Samuel's soul vanished as it was sent to his new life.

—-

In Texas, on September 3rd, 1930 a small frail boy on a farm breathed his last from serious Tuberculosis and pneumonia at the age of 12 years old. His parents were poor farmers and could only keep him at home with the hope of improvement.'

They had 6 other children, but loosing their first born like this to disease would break them. The Mother of the boy was in the kitchen trying to make some tea from mint, lemon, and ginger to help her son feel even a little better. She was barely holding herself together with the state of her son.

Sadly, she didn't know her son had passed away and with his body free, Samuel's soul took over. When that happened, his race as a World Sage prepared the body for Samuel.

Mana from the planet and atmosphere began flowing into his body and soul in a torrent causing the body to glow a bright blue. Glowing burning veins of liquid mana flowed through the corpse burning away the weakness in it. the still heart began beating again as life returned to him with a renewed force.

The Mana rushing into the body began mixing with his blood and genetics as the mythical blood of a World Sage formed. The boy's thin frame began to fill out with dense muscle as his skeleton and muscular system grew and adapted.

His Skeleton turned nearly silver as dense mana flowed through his bones making them far more sturdy than humans. The 12-year-old boy had been 5 feet tall at most but now the boy was 5'10. His hair was a silky smooth black and his eyes a bright neon blue glowing like a bright gem stones.

The glowing blue veins began to fuse into his bones and tissues as all the infection was cleared away. Once his World Sage body had formed he could feel his mind and soul also receive the mana blessing.

He would be able to use magic as easily as breathing which would help with Annihilation Maker. Once Samuel finished with his evolution he sat up from the bed with a breath.

"Feels good to be alive."

He stood up from the bed walked over to the mirror and looked at himself. He was surprised to see that he looked like his old self just younger. Not to mention he felt energized and over the top. Like he could destroy this house with a flick of his hand or a burst of magic.

"That could be dangerous. Especially for the clothes."

His clothing had torn apart as he grew up so now he was in a pair of really tight torn clothes. He placed a hand on his clothes and he pictured in his head what he wanted to wear.

Instantly his torn shorts sized up into a pair of dark jeans, his 1930s shirt became a proper t-shirt, a heavy leather jacket over it, and a pair of black leather boots. This is what he usually wore when not on a contract meaning his plan worked. Now, fully dressed he smiled to himself as he walked out of the room.

As he did so he began to take in the views of this house as to him it was ancient. Through the memories of the little boy whose body he took the year was 1930. To him, that was well over 123 years.

It made him realize just how long ago the 30s were since he was born in the year 2025. He died at age 28 in 2053 so the 30s were an alien time to him. He continued his way downstairs causing his 'mother' to hear his footsteps.

"Johnny, you can't be u-"

She froze when she saw a young teenager she had never seen in her house

"Who are you and what are you doing in my house?"

'Please work.'

He raised his hand and he focused on his mana. He was trying to wipe her memories of him and with a controlled wave of magic, her eyes began to glaze over.

"I was never here. You don't know who I am."

"You were never here and I don't know who you are."

With that dealt with he continued walking until he made it to the front door. He opened it and he stepped outside of the house with a smile. A World Sage was from a great story he read called Life Hunter and they were busted beings who were the chosen one of the universe.

Having that and Annihilation Maker was just cheating and he didn't even know where he was.

"Right then."

He clasped his hands together as he began to focus on Annihilation Maker deep in his soul. Thanks to his Race as a World Sage he could feel his Sacred Gear settled in the center of his soul being flooded with Mana.

Meaning as long as he had enough Mana and he could imagine it, he could make it. With almost a child-like glee he activated his Sacred Gear causing his shadow to spread out in a violet color.

In his mind, he pictured what he wanted and from his shadow began to emerge a large black Wyvern as he didn't need a huge Dragon just yet. He based this one off the Canibal from House Of The Dragons which led to a creature around 50 feet long(15 Meters).

The large Dragon roared as it stretched its wings. It then lowered its left wing which he used to walk up to its back. He grabbed onto a few spikes before he nodded to himself.

"To the sky."

The Cannibal roared as it raised its front limbs and flapped its wings. It started running to build up thrust before it began to take to the skies. In the 30s, he had nothing to fear from Satellites, the armed forces barely had any missiles, and their planes were dog water.

Meaning unless he ended up facing a secret organization in the shadows he would be home free.

"Take us to Alaska."

With a bellowing roar, The Cannibal flapped his wings harder as Mana began flowing through the creature. His mount began to truly pick up speed as it began to reach truly great speeds faster than any creature this size.

Speeds of up to 280 miles per hour(450 Km per hour) which truly was a fast speed. Though even at that speed it would take over 11 hours which was a slog. However, it wouldn't be much faster with a plane.

Once his mount began to fly, it left the farm behind, and just to avoid causing heart attacks he ordered it to fly high above the clouds. The Cannibal grunted as it began to gain altitude rapidly.

This way he would avoid the people screaming at a giant dragon in the sky and he could use the thinner air to speed up his flight. Plus, he was barely getting used to his new identity as a World Sage.

Having all the mana he could need at his fingertips and the abilities of a World Sage was something he was thankful for. He didn't even know where he was at the moment so he decided to go to Alaska where even in the modern day, it was still mostly wild untamed land.

He would be able to practice his creations as he could call upon a wide variety of Monsters, Aliens, or Creatures from works of fiction. As long as he could picture them and he had Mana he could make them.

For the time he had on the back of The Cannibal, he closed his eyes and decided to meditate as he often did. He wanted to focus on the Mana flowing through his body, blood, and soul to better learn what he could do with it.

Mana was highly versatile, and he could think of many ways to use it in a fight if that was needed.

'I have eleven hours to use so let's use them well.'

---

As Cannibal flew him to his destination he began playing with the Mana in his body. He channeled it into his fingers, he made it ignite in a fire, spark as lightning, control his shadows, and many more things.

However, when he reached Alaska the Cannibal flew deep into the state before he found a clearing in which he landed. Once the Wyvern Dragon landed, Samuel jumped from its back onto the ground.

It was still Fall in Alaska, but it was already getting colder. Soon it would be freezing, but here he could practice in peace. On the plus hand, he used to have a bunker out in Alaska so he could always rebuild it.

"Come along Cannibal, we have work to do."

His mount growled as it began to follow him. He would need to find a good place he could use to set up his camp. After all, you were only as missirable as you let yourself be and he would not be misseirable.
