Chapter 139 - Chapter 136

The morning air was crisp as Max sat on the porch of the mountain house, sipping his coffee and watching the crows flit about outside. The crows squawked happily, diving and weaving through the trees, enjoying their free time. But Max's mind was elsewhere, focused on the task ahead.

"guys." Max called, setting his mug down. "Time to come in."

The crows landed before him in unison, tilting their heads in curiosity.

Craw?

"I'm about to start Lucy's simulation, i can't have anything happen to you while Lucy isn't watching. You'll stay in and watch something on the laptop."

Craw!

another protested, but they reluctantly followed Max inside.

Max set up a movie on the laptop, ensuring the crows were occupied, and headed to the other room where Lucy waited. The fairy was perched on the desk, her wings shimmering faintly in the dim light.

"Ready?"

Lucy nodded, her telepathic voice chiming. 'Always!'

Max activated the simulator, selecting a starting location. He picked the green expanse the same place that was ruled by the will of that world.

"Here we go,"

[Simulation starting..]

[In the first year : You found yourself standing before a mountain, the place was Radioactive and the Sun was merciless but it was alive.

The mountain was surrounded by vibrant greenery, as trees swayed gently in the wind, wildflowers dotted the landscape, and animals roamed freely.

Bugs buzzed around, and even centaurs could be seen in the distance, their forms blending seamlessly with the lively surroundings.

It was overwhelming at first, but remembering Max's instructions, you took a moment to steady yourself.

you possessed the mountain, and your telekinetic abilities extended outward, touching every stone, plant, and creature in your new domain.]

[In the 2nd year, you focused on observing the ecosystem. The centaurs appeared to be intelligent, speaking in guttural tones and moving in organized groups.

Bugs, some of them the size of dogs, scuttled about, while smaller animals darted through the underbrush.

You decided to ignore everything Irrelevant for now, you focused on gathering resources for the Kraxtal weaving technique.

There were several mineral ore veins within the mountain and its surroundings so that wasn't much of a problem.]

[In the 7th year, you spent your time practicing the Kraxtal weaving forging method and learning the accompanying knowledge.]

[In the 10th year, you had some success with the Kraxtal weaving, and decided it was enough to start experimenting with it maybe you could make that cube thing with a single attempt.]

[In the 13th year : You had constructed a makeshift workshop within the mountain using your telekinetic powers.

Ores mined from deep within the mountain served as your materials.

You spent countless hours attempting to recreate the space cube using the Kraxtal weaving technique, but progress was slow.

No matter how carefully you followed the blueprint, something always went wrong.

Frustration grew, but you persisted, determined to succeed. The centaurs began to notice your activities, approaching the mountain curiously. They seemed wary but didn't interfere, so you simply ignored them.]

[In the 39ty year : By now, the centaurs had grown bolder, venturing closer to the mountain and even leaving offerings of strange fruits and flowers at its base.

You simply ignored the bunch of primitives, as you were to absorbed in your frustrating studies and experiments.

Still buy this time you were completely familiar with the mountain, knowing every grass root and rock, and we're able to find something that Max has told you to look for within the mountain, it's a decayed carcass of a big worm, you didn't find a single drop of blood within it and the carcass was too rotten to be used for anything other than fire wood so you ignored it.]

"hmm as expected." Max has expected this so he wasn't too disappointed.

[In the 101st year : Despite your best efforts, the space cube remained beyond your grasp. The intricate weaving required a precision that eluded you, no matter how many times you tried.]

[In the 266th year, after another failed experiment you decided you had enough and gave up.]

"huh! I guess she did spend over 200 years on it so it's not too bad."

[In the 268th year, Frustrated, you turned your attention to a different blueprint you had glimpsed in Max's notes, a cannon made by blood forging. It was a far more destructive design, and the idea of harnessing the lifeblood of the creatures around you felt… thrilling.]

Max was stunned on the spot. "Did I rise a psychopath? Or is it the math's doing? Did she have a mental breakdown?"

Max was speechless, he didn't even remember showing that blueprint to Lucy since he made it simple to practice his hand and never intended to make it, at least not in the simulation.

[In the year 229th,You began your hunt.

The first to fall were the bugs; oversized, mutated creatures with chitinous exteriors and glowing green eyes. Using your telekinetic powers, you crushed them effortlessly, their blood pooling at the base of the mountain.

Next came the centaurs. They fought back fiercely, their spears and arrows barely scratching the surface of your mountain form

. But one by one, they fell, their blood joining the growing whirlpool at your core.

The forest grew silent over the years, the once vibrant life extinguished under your relentless campaign. The whirlpool of blood within the mountain grew larger, swirling with radiation.]

[In the 290th year, the blood Whirlpool has attracted mutated creatures from the surrounding regions, they were different larger, stronger, and driven by a primal hunger. They swarmed the mountain, their glowing green bodies writhing like a tide.

You fought back with everything you had, using telekinetic blasts to crush them and hurling boulders from the mountain's peaks. The blood from their shattered bodies only added to the whirlpool, which now pulsed with a life of its own.

The cannon was taking shape, its skeletal frame forming from the blood forged metal you had extracted. But the process was slow, and the blueprint wasn't complete nor functional so you had to improvise]

[In the 500th year : The land was barren now, stripped of its once-thriving ecosystem. Only the mountain remained, a monolith of death and power. The whirlpool of blood at its core had grown immense, its surface roiling with radiation.

Max never told you to practice your skills here because you simply didn't have enough energy nor nutrients, but with the years passing your telekinesis had some small success.

You had become a master of telekinesis, using every single rock as deadly a weapon. But the cannon still eluded completion. You started using the Kraxtal weaving as well, which made for an amazing visual effect; a vast Lake made of green blood, with three glowing blue orbes floating above it.]

[Year 970th year : at long last, the cannon was complete.

The blood whirlpool solidified into a crystalline core, its surface etched with the delicate patterns of Kraxtal weaving. The frame of the cannon, forged from blood and reinforced with telekinetic energy, stood tall atop the mountain.

You wanted to test it, but your life that you were holding to by sheer will, gave way after completing the Canon.

After all while you weren't directly affected by radiation, the mountain you inhabited was being poisoned daily by your Reckless actions, it died long ago, and you kept it going solely using your innate..]

[you died].

[Simulation ended, entering cooldown]

[Host please pick a reward.]

Max leaned back in his chair, sipping his coffee as he examined what just happened, when Lucy gave up he was sure she would start working on it after some time, but apparently she really didn't like math and physics.

"Sigh.... I guess this one is on me, I tried to teach her normally..."

Max just shook his head ignoring the matter of Lucy's motivation for now, focusing on the rewards.

There were three options with some value ; Primary mastery telekinesis, memories of using the Kraxtal weaving, and that cannon.

For telekinesis it's better to have Lucy Focus on it for an entire simulation, and bring the perfected one directly.

For memories it's better to work on Lucy's motivation first, and Max already knew how to go about it, using his old methods.

So it's better to pick the cannon as a reward.

Max didn't waste time as he scrolled through the items and picked the cannon.
