"I don't belong to anyone," she whispered, barely loud enough for him to hear.
Enzo's smile faded, his expression turning serious. "You will," he said, his voice soft but firm. "Sooner or later, you will."
Tiara felt a cold shiver run down her spine. She didn't know what he meant, but she could tell that he believed every word he was saying. The certainty in his eyes was terrifying, like he could see into the future and knew exactly how things would play out.
"Why me?" she asked, her voice trembling.
He didn't answer right away. Instead, he took a step back, giving her some space. She hadn't realized how close he had been until he moved away, and she felt like she could breathe again.
