The MMORPG 'EVR' was released unexpectedly one day, along with its advanced equipment that allowed players to fully immerse themselves in the game, even though prior VR technology wasn't nearly as realistic. To prevent people from replacing their real lives with the game, the servers were shut down during the day and on weekends. I was the best at the game, but since I had no friends or family, I could only watch and bet on sports while waiting for the servers to reopen—until the day I died and regressed to a week before the game was released. I know everything that will happen in the game. I know the game is not just realistic; it's real. I just tried following the script in front of everyone while trying out my cheat in hindsight. Don't get me wrong with the ‘pig eating tiger’ kind of thing. I just don’t like attention. GM Points will be consumed!] And for the players who were bullying the ‘weak’ me. One may even wonder how they ended up losing half of their stats and skills in a randomly triggered impossible type of quest.  Fate can be truly scary, you know?  One must always be careful of it.

Uploading one’s consciousness to the ‘Net’ was a form of escapism, to draw attention away from the pitiful state Earth was, but the database was under extreme strain from numerous DDOS attacks attempting to shut the Net down, along with the increasing number of users. Glitches and bugs occurred in the fabricated life those considered their true home. The Net had no choice but to implement currency, and values that made certain users more protected against deletion.
