"In that case, by the power vested in me as an exorcist, I will now exorcise you." Eddy declared, unsheathing his katana with a swift, practiced motion and pointing it directly at the possessed figure before him.
Detective Becker stood in stunned silence, unable to comprehend what he was witnessing. Throughout his extensive career in law enforcement, he had never encountered a possessed individual before.
He had always dismissed the tales told by exorcists as mere superstitions, stories spun by swindlers. But now, right before his very eyes, he saw a young boy strike an old woman with such force that she crashed through a wall. And now, it seemed, he was ready to kill her.
"Was he right?" The question echoed in Becker's mind. Could this lad be correct? Was this woman truly the murderer? He couldn't be sure. The woman was clearly not herself.
Her eyes were entirely black, like those of the possessed. Her fingers had transformed into claws, and her teeth had morphed into sharp canines. She had become a monstrous entity.
With a guttural growl, the possessed advanced towards Eddy, wasting no time to lunged herself at him, aiming to slash his throat, but Eddy stepped back, deftly dodging the attack once again.
As he retreated, the possessed maneuvered swiftly and launched herself at him, mouth agape, ready to bite his face. In the nick of time, Eddy raised his katana,
and her teeth clamped down on the blade. The force of the impact, however, sent Eddy sprawling to the ground.
Falling could be disastrous for Eddy. If the possessed landed on top of him, his movements would be severely restricted, and given her enhanced abilities, it would likely spell his defeat. But as he fell, Eddy bent his legs and pointed the soles of his shoes upward. When the possessed made contact with his feet, he kicked her off with all his strength, sending her crashing into the living room television. Eddy sprang to his feet, but the possessed was already upon him, slashing at him twice. He dodged both attacks, and in that moment, her heart was left exposed.
A typical exorcist might have attempted a straightforward stab, but Eddy was no ordinary
exorcist. In a blur of motion, he swung his katana, aiming to cleave the possessed in half.
To his astonishment, she dodged the attack, sustaining only a shallow wound on her chest.
"I missed?" Eddy thought, incredulous.
He had never faced a possessed who could evade his lethal strikes. By now, he should have been the victor, but his opponent still stood.
He narrowed his eyes in concentration, whilst he contemplated inwardly within himself.
"No, I hesitated. Those two attacks caught me off guard. But that's no excuse. If I keep making mistakes like this, I'll end up dead."
Steeling himself, he resolved, "My next attack will end this."
"My, my.. why so serious, lad?" the possessed taunted, a devilish smile spreading across her face.
Her remark immediately pauses his intentions, and therefore his voluntary movements.
"Huh... You can speak? Why didn't you answer me before?" Eddy demanded.
The monster chuckled and replied.
"Oh, but where would the fun be in that?"
"You asked me a question? My hearing isn't what it used to be. This old body has seen better days." the possessed fiend said with a weary sigh.
"Hmm...then I'll ask you one more time. Why did you murder that couple downstairs?" Eddy demanded, his voice steely and unwavering.
The possessed once more extended his twisted smile, before replying to the exorcists.
"Hmm, aren't you at least surprised that I can speak? Not all possessed can articulate this well."
"Answer the question, scum." Eddy interrupted.
The possessed paused, savoring the moment before replying his foe.
"Why? Well, because I could." It looked down on Eddy with contempt, emitting its utter evil intentions.
"Is that so?" Eddy muttered, charging forward with a sudden burst of speed, aiming his katana at the possessed man's heart. But the creature was quick, dodging the attack and lunging toward Detective Becker. Just before it could slash Becker, Eddy intercepted with his katana, blocking the blow. The possessed pressed hard against Eddy's blade, trying to overpower him.
"Run!" Eddy shouted to Detective Becker, who needed no further prompting. Becker fled, not
wanting to face more horrors after witnessing the possessed's capabilities.
Eddy and the possessed clashed furiously, each dodging the other's slashes. This possessed was unlike any Eddy had encountered, its enhanced abilities making it a formidable opponent. Despite this, Eddy managed to keep up, surprising the creature. The possessed swung at Eddy with its right hand, but Eddy deftly avoided the attack and, with one swift motion, severed its arm.
The possessed had anticipated this, using the moment to land a powerful blow to Eddy's gut, sending him crashing through a wall. Gritting his teeth, Eddy thought.
"It's strong...stronger than I expected," as he struggled to stand, using his katana for support.
"But I'll exor-" Eddy began, but he was cut off as he noticed blood trickling down his forehead
from the severe hit. Dizzy from the concussion, he found himself in a well-furnished bedroom, now marred by blood stains and four lifeless
bodies. One body had been shredded to pieces, while the other three had their chests sliced open.
As Eddy took in the gruesome scene, the possessed struck again, smashing a table into him and sending him flying into the wall. He hit the wall hard and fell to the floor, continuing to bleed from his forehead.
The possessed spread its hands and grinned arrogantly as it glared at him.
"I see you've noticed my artwork. Quite marvelous, don't you think? They were foolish sophomores who welcomed me into their home without a second thought. They were all high and wild until l split one of them open."
The possessed cackled maniacally.
"Marvelous! Truly marvelous! Now, Mr. Exorcist, I have a question for you..."
Eddy, struggling to remain conscious, looked up to see a sight that made his blood run cold. The possessed fiend continued.
"Did you know that when one-tenth of a million people die, they become... possessed?" He grinned as the four corpses began to rise, their faces twisted into monstrous expressions, and slowly advanced toward Eddy.
