"Dad, i'm here", Yang Luoya knocked his father room door. There's no answer from the inside. Yang Luoya knocked again, This time, Yang Soren answered, "come in"
Yang Luoya come inside and closed the door. As soon as Yang Luoya entered the room, he was greeted by his father sharp gaze. "An important guest will come next week, I want you to fix up your temper and manner before they come. I don't want any dead bodies during that time", Said Yang Soren as he glared at Yang Luoya.
"That's all?", Yang Luoya asked. "this is not just a trivial matter, our next bloodline might be affected too", Yang Soren replied. "May i ask who is coming?", Yang Luoya asked. Both of us staring eachother silently, "The zhao family", Yang Soren replied.
A few ideas came inside Yang Luoya mind. The zhao family is actually one of few noble family in Yang empire. They were known for their jewelery and crystal mine. During this time period, the zhao family will come to visit us. The reason is simple, Zhao family youngest son is an omega. His name is Zhao Ling. Zhao Ling is one of few villain inside the novel. Yang Soren might use this opportunity to establish beneficial relationship between two family by marrying Yang Wei off.
In the original plot, The main character, Qing Shan getting closer with Yang Wei and make Zhao Ling jealous. Zhao Ling used a lot of evil plans to separated those two. But all of his plan failed, instead Qing Shan and Yang Wei getting closer than before. Zhao Ling were banished from the Yang empire.
"I will ask Bai Qian about the preparation, you just have to hold your temper during that time... and also, i hope Yang Wei were prepared during that day, he's the main character, you know what i mean", Yang Soren explained. "I understand", Said Yang Luoya as he step out from the room. As soon as he closed the door, he saw Bai Qian. Bai Qian walk towards him and bowed down. Before Yang Luoya could respond, Bai Qian already walk past him and entered Yang Soren room.
"Did you call for me, my lord?", Asked Bai Qian towards Yang Soren. Yang Soren stare for a few second before talk, "An important guest will arrive next week, i leave the preparation in your hand, i hope you won't disappoint me", Said Yang Soren. Bai Qian bowed down and leave the room.
The next day....
"Do you have plan today? you look different", Yang Luoya asked. Bai Qian was pouring tea for Yang Luoya. His hair were tied and become tidier than before. He also dressed neatly. "I will go to the town today, I have a lot of preparation to do", said Bai Qian. "take care", Said Yang Luoya as he sip his tea.
The town was bustling with people in the morning.
"hurry up and buy my special grilled meat!"
"I made these toys by my own hand"
"mommy that candied fruit looks tasty"
"Why it's so expensive?!"
"The new restaurant was opened today"
Bai Qian walk past through them and went inside few store to prepare the Zhao Family welcoming party. Decoration, Entertainment, food ingredients and more. It's already past noon, Bai Qian finally finished his job. "Finally.... it's done.... time to head back", Said Bai Qian after went out from the last store.
Bai Qian head back. When he walk through the alleyway, he heard noise. "Look at this garbage, trying to protect a dog"
"His complexion is no different than any dog"
"so dirty, ugly, and disgusting"
It was the sound of few little boys. The three of them throwing rocks at an injured dog, no, a young boy who protected the injured dog. He's wearing a ragged clothes and his face was so dirty. Bai Qian pitied the boy, "Hey! what are you doing!", Bai Qian went closer in anger. The three boys run away, leaving the injured boy by himself.
Bai Qian went closer to the boy. "Are you okay?", Bai Qian extend his hand to help the injured boy. The injured and dirty boy stare at Bai Qian. His face was so dirty, not only that, there's also an old burn mark that almost covering half of his face. Despite his burn mark, Bai Qian knows that he's actually good looking before he got that burn mark.
"Are you okay?", Bai Qian asked again. The boy nodded in anticipation. He seems wary of Bai Qian. The dog behind that boy were whimpering, scared of Bai Qian. "Where's your parent", Bai Qian asked. The boy just shake his head. "What happen?" Bai Qian tried to comfort the young boy. One word escape the young boy lips, "plaque"
Bai Qian pitied the young boy even more. That word explain his burn mark. If one city were hit by a plaque, they will burned to death alongside their city. It's a miracle if this young boy could escape and live well, not well though.
"Hey... do you want to live with me?", Bai Qian asked. By keeping this young boy close to him or maybe giving him a job as a servant in the castle, he doesn't have to worry about food or place to sleep. The boy stared at Bai Qian. He nodded an A small blush forming on his cheek. Bai Qian smiled and patted the boy head. "My name is Bai Qian.... what's yours?", Bai Qian asked. "Liu Ao", The boy answered. Bai Qian lift up Liu Ao and carry him back. "Then Liu Ao, let's go home" Liu Ao nodded as he smiled at Bai Qian. The dog Liu Ao saved before also following them and barking happily.

"so.... who is this?", Yang Luoya asked as he sip his tea. Liu Ao were hiding behind Bai Qian, tucking his sleeve, He's afraid of Yang Luoya. "Lord Yang Luoya.... this child will become my responsibility, you don't have to worry, i won't slack off from my work", Bai Qian responded.
"His home were burned to ash... the same happened to his family", Bai Qian continued. Liu Ao hugged Bai Qian from behind, burrying his face at Bai Qian back.
Yang Luoya stared at the young boy. He doesn't remember there's any mention about this young boy inside the novel. "i'm just asking his name, you can't just taking home a boy you doesn't know the name of", Yang Luoya said as he sip his tea.
"Liu Ao, his name is Liu Ao", as soon as Bai Qian answered, Yang Luoya spurt out his tea. "M-my lord?!", Bai Qian were shocked. "Repeat what you said", Said Yang Luoya shocked too. "His name is Liu Ao", Bai Qian repeated. "oh shi-"
Liu Ao also one of many dangerous character. He's the leader of the cult who tried to awaken the devil in the future. But the novel always describing Liu Ao as the cold charming villain with obssessive and possessive personality, he has the same personality as Yang Wei. Bai Qian.... you're inviting lion inside your room, one day he might eat you alive.
"i don't want this kid near me", Yang Luoya said. Bai Qian were shocked, "i-i will make sure he won't come close to you my lord.... but please let me keep him", Bai Qian explain.
"Don't be too kind towards him", Said Yang Luoya coldly. "b-but.... i-i'm sorry i can't, just for this once i want to refuse your order, i will take the punishment", said Bai Qian desperately.
"(this is for your own good okay? if you're too kind, he might become obsessive and possessive of you, don't blame me if he suddenly eat you alive)", Yang Luoya thought.
"..... dismiss", said Yang Luoya. Bai Qian smiled happily and leave with Liu Ao. After they leave, Yang Luoya sighed. "in the novel, Liu Ao is supposed to be charming individual... but why does he have a burn mark now? did he found a cure for his old burn mark?", Yang Luoya mumble.
"poor Bai Qian..... i hope you won't become a piece of meat in front of the lion in the future", Said Yang Luoya.
