Damien's knees buckled as he tumbled on his arse. He had to put his head between his knees to stop himself from hurling whatever that was trying to climb up his throat.
Xavier hopped down the carriage with Levy leaning against him.
He looked extremely pale as he covered his mouth and spoke in a muffled voice, "Now, can I know why —ark—why were we made to sit in the carriage of damnation?"
"Ah, yes. I haven't told you. Did I?" Wistoria turned to look at the three men. A frown settled between her brows. "A few weeks ago, I went to the regions that are under the control of the Kiem family. Originally, I went undercover only to see what that family had been doing after taking charge of those regions. But…"
She paused and turned to look behind her with a frown on her face as she searched for something.
