Jade's POV
My mom chuckled at my shocked reaction. I guessed she found my misery funny.
Could she read minds now? I wondered inwardly and gritted my teeth, in frustration. I was angry at myself, how couldn't I be able to lie without getting caught?
"I am not lying." I managed to deny but she had already made up her mind.
"You better stop lying, Jade. Don't piss me off." She snapped at me. I exasperatedly heaved a sigh and my hands fell to my sides, defeatedly.
I knew there was nothing I could say to her to make her believe my lies. She had really caught on and there was no going back.
"Now listen, we are looking for a password..." She began but I butt in before she could finish her sentence.
"What password?" I inquired, curiously. She hesitated for a second before replying to me. She even looked at my face intently before she did.
