Chapter 43 - Her mask slipping off

Third person's POV

Selena gripped the steering wheel tightly, in anger and frustration, as she drove back home. 

"That jerk surely knows too much." She gritted out as she thought of the conversation she had had with Marcus. She was so annoyed at the way he had treated her. 

"Does he thinks he can keep giving me orders and pushing me around? He isn't even afraid that I also know his secrets and can use them against him, letting him rot away in jail, forever." She stated and punched wheel, furiously. 

"Forever!" She spat out and scrunched up her nose in disgust. 

Afterwards, she inhaled and exhaled deeply, and the frown on her face was diminishing, gradually. 

"He is really lucky I still love him. If not..." She trailed off and shook her head, then she breathed in the cool air, letting her mind wander to the old memories of her and Marcus.
