Chapter 28: The Final Room!
Alex's dead body was splattered on the ground, and Dali, Max, and Lisa were crying as Sabrina and the maze walker's bodies had long disappeared.
Zen looked at the corpse of Alex absent-mindedly.
'Alex, Oh Alex. What a brave soul you are. What a shame, a shame indeed.' Zen shook his head as he looked at the remaining three members of the group.
*Fwshhh*
Out of nowhere, cherry blossom leaves started appearing around the area where the group was, they fell all the way to the ground before coalescing together to form a humanoid body.
*Znnnn*
"Hmm?" Zen's eyes opened wide as Sabrina body shape was formed in front of his eyes. Dali, Max, and Lisa's also had funny expressions.
"You guys! Don't look!" Lisa shouted the second she regained her composure.
"Fuck!" Max cursed as he turned his eyes away.
Sabrina was successfully revived, but there was one single tiny problem... She had no clothes on.
Lisa ran towards her in a hurry, Looking for something she would cover her with before she opened her eyes.
Lisa and Sabrina were around the same heights so she could give her her own clothes, but Lisa was only wearing a school uniform.
"Ah, what do we do?" She started panicking.
"Here." Zen spoke as he removed his black t-shirt and turned away, his toned body that was hidden behind unveiled for the world to see.
"A- Umm... Thank you." Lisa blushed as she sneaked a few glances at Zen before she hid Sabrina with her body.
"Oh? I'm really not dead?" Sabrina suddenly opened her eyes as she raised her hands in slight disbelief.
"Of course you wouldn't. Forget that! Wear this." Lisa confirmed her before she handed the T-shirt to her.
"Why? I already have m- Oh shit! Did you guys see?" Sabrina shouted once she noticed that she was stark naked.
"Nope, not a single thing." Zen, who had his face turned, lied; he had seen everything.
"Hmm... What about you two?" Sabrina, hidden behind Lisa, turned her gaze to look at Max and Dali, who were looking to their sides
"I swear, I didn't see!" Max shouted.
"I- Uh... I didn't; it was just a little." Dali, however, couldn't lie.
"Hmph, bunch of bastards." Sabrina flared her nostrils in slight annoyance; she took the t-shirt, wore it, and looked down. It was crazy how a guy's mood could change from scared and gloomy to normal with nothing but a single 'gaze'.
"Hey, Dali." Sabrina squinted her eyes as she called Dali.
"Yes, Miss Sabrina?" Dali replied with a shout; he was caught off guard.
"Are you wearing anything underneath?" She asked.
"Under what?" he asked, confused.
"Under your jeans, of course." She replied with a smile.
"Ah- Um..."
"Give it." She stretched her hands with a scary smile.
"But-"
"Give it." she repeated.
"Okay." And he removed his jeans. His face was red, but at least his wide boxers saved him from dying of embarrassment.
'And that's why you act like you've never seen a girl's ugly moments.' Zen and Max thought in their minds, both minding their business.
Dali learned a lesson-a lesson, that might, or might not be useful in the future.
Sabrina wore his jeans, took a look at the dead body of Alex and bowed once again.
"Thank you for everything."
Zen, hearing her words, turned to look at her and then at the group, whose mood had once again worsened when they looked at the man who sacrificed himself for them.
Without a single expression, Zen looked back at the gate.
"We should move." And he walked.
The group took a few seconds to pay their respects to Alex one last time and followed after Zen.
Changus corpses, which should have been on the ground, were long gone. When they entered the last room, they noticed that even the traces of Alexander's existence were long gone.
They walked and walked until they surpassed the statue, Speed's body nowhere to be seen.
In front of them was a room with no door. It was dark; it was eerie, but it made them feel a sense of freedom.
"We're finally here." Lisa exclaimed, her words resonating with the rest of the group.
When they entered the room, what waited for them wasn't a gate outside, nor the voice coming back and telling them that the trial had ended. No....
*Fwshhh* *BOOM*
The seemingly doorless room was closed from the inside.
The group turned back, not understanding what had just happened. Max went running to try and open it but it was like part of the room.
"Stop. Don't bother trying to open it." Zen spoke.
"Let it be; it's not like we're trying to go back. This room shouldn't be a trap if Zen said nothing." Sabrina added.
Max stopped hitting the wall and just returned next to the group.
"So what's this room about? Weren't we supposed to have finished the trial?" Max asked.
"I don't know. Maybe there will be an announcement soon." Dali spoke, still shy that he was only wearing boxers and his white hoodie.
[Congratulations, Dear Sinners! You have managed to reach the last room of this trial.]
"It's here!" The voice once again rang inside the group's minds, they only had bad opinions about it so they didn't know if they should rejoice or be scared that it would mess with them for the last time.
And mess with them it did.
[Fear not; there's no new monster. There's no trap. This is but the last phase you have to go through in order to leave this place and officially enter Hell, or more specifically, the Sinful Continent.] The voice said.
[But before that, you have a choice.] It added as a holographic screen appeared in front of all 5 survivors.
[Choose between: {1. The final reward of this trial will be divided between all five of you.} or {2. Only you keep the reward, but everybody else dies.}]
-----End-----
