Chereads / Dezer Plaza / Chapter 3 - Illegal Contract

Chapter 3 - Illegal Contract

The apartment was trashed, looked like a right old fight took place. Walls damaged, a table flipped, broken chairs. Some dished smashed to bits. Looks like an ugly bar fight.

Tyler looked bewildered. "What the fuck happened here?!"

Rice hooked his fingers in his belt. "Seems like our little perp got to him first, is what happened. Let's go, we're going to the source."

His eyes gleamed, a sulfuric arua faintly hovering in the space. "What a cocky imp"

Turning away Rice stepped out into the hall. Right across from Garet's door was another door. Looking at the trinkets. It was another's one. He stepped up to it. Knocking hard. "Hellrazer agent, open up!"

No answer.

Rice knocked again. "Open up or I open this door for you!"

He knew someone was home. He felt eyes on his back when he entered Garet's apartment.

He help up his hand three letters glowing with a magma light.

Words were unspoken, He heard the lock click open just as quick.

Sometimes showing status discreetly made a difference. For the most part ones and two letters were treated like this, no answer, no talk. That's why they were put on lesser jobs. That said disobeying a letter three will easily aquant you a folded door and a personal first row greeting.

Big difference.

Letters didn't just give a person authority, the letter stands for the level of strength they can handle. One or twos were almost easy prey if you were sufficiently strong.

Threes? Fuckin hell your asking for a right beating.

Unlike police, debt collectors of the Hellrazer organization doesn't have as many limiting liberties.

The door opened to a matted dressed woman. Her white eyes glowing strongly in the black of her Apartment.

To Tyler she felt like death angel. Ready to break his neck. To Rice, she was barely a threat.

"Just woke up ma'am? Do you know about what happened behind me?"

The lady glanced past Rice and Tyler. "Some fellows came by and broke in. Took Garet screaming, they told him about a debt he owed. That's all I know."

"Alright thank you for your cooperation. Let's go"

Rice waved at the lady, flicking his head at Tyler.

"Guess we wait till night. Nightclubs don't open up till the sun begins setting. Hey do you like lamb chops? I know this place in town-"

Tyler interrupted bewildered. "Why aren't you worried about Garet? Shouldn't we be hunting for him as soon as possible?"

Rice didn't appreciate the interruption. However he didn't voice that. "Because I don't bring my emotions entirely to the job site. Look kid, you need to keep your head straight we can't be scaring away our target. Nor brute forcing this particular matter. Bezal operates in the Nightclubs, which means we don't go anywhere till he is in business. Now.. do you like lamb chops or not?"

Ha.. Tyler couldn't understand this.. "y-y"

Rice snapped his head at him.

Tyler straightened up. "Yes Sir!"

Nodding he said "good"

As the sun set over Dezer, illuminating the skyscrapers In a dying light. The night activities of the residents begun opening up.

Bezal took his seat in the VIP section. His henchmen standing nearby. Whilst on the opposite side of the table Garet bound to a chair.

"Garet, nice to see you."

Bezal was a short demon, his blood red skin indictive of an imp. Curled horns crowning His head. Whilst he wore a black dress shirt. A purple shirt underneath.

"it's time for our deal to conclude." Bezal had a strangely deep voice, a filter of faint static With a contained echo sounded otherworldly.

Garet on the other hand had long been apart of the business, but nowdays. He wanted nothing to do with it. He wanted to get out of town maybe make a living in Grimroot forest.

But his experiences were took great to give up, Bezal wanted that part of him. He could split it amongst his boys, make them more experienced without years of being in the business.

Unfortunately transaction like that were illegal, but he was willing to risk It.

Now after a little bit of time he was here to cash It in. He didn't hear any fire from his deal, so he assumed he got off scott free.

Garet wasnt so up about the deal. He struggled in vain at his bindings. He knew that Bezal had an ability to force him to say yes. Once that happened. He was done for. If he could get out of the business that Easy he Would say yes, but alot of issues Arose from his experience being taken away.

He would lose all memories, hardships, Contact. Everything, he'd become brain dead from it. He wanted to live, actaully be around mind and body. Not just body.

"Bezal.. t-this is illegal you don't think they won't come for you?"

Bezal waved dismissively at him. "Who would? They might send dogs, something so insignificant. I doubt it."

"you don't think they'll send a henchman?"

Pfft!

Bezal Laughed. "Hardly, your not worth that much Garet. Now be a good employee and agree. Do you on behalf of the signed contract pay your experience for your life~"

Garet felt his will slipping when Bezal mid sentence began to exert his will into what he said. Giving a suggestion to say yes.

He clenched his jaw, trying to force his body to shut up!

Bezal leaned in "Say yes Garet, this'll All be over soon.. Garet~"

Garet felt his body lose control as his jaws parted.

"Ye-"

Crack!

Garet screamed in pain, Bezal jumped in surprise. His guard snapped toward two figures.

Rice Had his hand on Garet's shoulder. Tyler behind him mortified by what Rice just did!

Weren't they supposed to save the victim?! Not break his shoulder!

Both the guards reactioned. Two buffed men standing tall. One a Vampire on behalf of the nightclub and the second a hand picked right hand for Bezal, the second reached out his clawed hand, exerting a pressure on Rice.

Whilst the vampire guard moved in to dismantle Rice.

In quick succession, Rice stepped towards the right hand man, folding him like A towel with a gut punch. Sending them sprawling into some tables. To think he'd leave himself open believing That His ability would lock down Rice. Shesh

Turning on heel he brought his left forearm up, a strong Shark hand chopping down on his neck. The blow met his forearm with a strong thud!

Rice pushed the vampires arm away, palm striking him. Pushing the vampire back.

Before they could react, he flicked his hand out, the sound of chains jingling Forced the vampire on his knees struggling with unseen bindings. He struggled but only felt The binds tighten.

"If I were you I'd stop struggling. If I wanted I could make you feel the sun in hellfire."

He looked away back to Bezal, he hadn't moved since. more like unable to. He was almost bound by chains. Ones he were quite familiar with.

"Tsk.. a henchman"

Rice nodded "Bezal"
