Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

'Come in, Alpha 1,' the radio squeaked with a slight disturbance.

'Permission to take the shot, sir.

''Do you have visual, Alpha 1?'

'No, sir.'

'Then what do you want to shoot? Bugger' muttered the voice on the radio.

A few intense minutes of silence passed.

'Rashid and the Russian Mafia are nearly done with the deal, Sir. I have a clear shot. Permission to shoot now?'

Bipin heaved a sigh of relief before replying, 'Take the shot.'

One long kilometre away from the oil field, Nakul's finger hovered over the trigger. He let out a sharp breath and pressed it. Within a second, a silver 0.300 Magnum bullet whizzed through the Arctic Warfare Magnum sniper, swivelling a bit due to the slight shift in the wind, and collided into Rashid's forehead. As Rashid fell to the ground, a wave of panic transmitted in the Russian camp altering everyone, their hands immediately clutching the guns in their belts.

Suddenly, a bullet swished past Nakul, narrowly missing his ear. Instantly, he crouched, atop an abandoned electricity tower by a distant seashore. With a rough idea of where the bullet came from, he zoomed in with his scope in the direction of the dock. He located the sniper only to see his body lying in a pool of blood on the top of a ship, a golden bullet crowning his forehead.

"Thanks," Nakul muttered while adoring the sniper of the dead man.

"Mhmm," said a melodious feminine voice coming from the radio.

Nakul then turned his sight back onto the panicked minions of the Mafia Camp.

Nakul's eyes set on a jeep with four armed men, heading towards Nakul's vantage point, roaring on the mud with an emergency. His eyes trailed the jeep, which was moving patches of thick bushes and boulders seeking cover. As soon as it was in the open, it steered at a frenzied pace to avoid the shower of bullets that clashed across the doors and windshield and some that dug into the ground erupting mini sand clusters. Nakul, with precision, took a shot, which collided and the driver's head flopped on the steering wheel in a rather inhuman way.

Before the others could realise their driver's instant demise, another one bit the dust. This time with a golden bullet etched in his back. Wanting to flee, the remaining two jumped from the skidding jeep, but to no avail. No sooner than they took a step did their bodies fall on the rough sand, their eyes at the back of their head.

Squad down, Nakul thought. He shifted his sight to the camp now devoid of its habitants. With a coy smile and hand on the trigger, Nakul took one last shot. As soon as the bullet hit the gas canister, it blasted apart, setting a chain of explosions of land mines. As the camp exploded into nothing but charred bits, Nakul climbed down the tower and put on his sunglasses as he jumped into the front seat of an open-roofed jeep waiting for him.

"Let's go," said Nakul, fist-bumping the driver.

"Whatever" replied Aditi as she drove a skidding jeep through the desert, away from the explosions.

Two Charcoal black Snipers closed in their suitcases lied in the back seats. One loaded with silver bullets and the other, with gold.
