"Practicing martial arts?"
Le Finn muttered with a frown.
"Why?" Le Finn was of a mind to scold Le Xaan, but held himself back while thinking of the family's other children. In contrast, Le Xaan seemed more enterprising.
As such, he just remarked while sighing,
"If you want to practice martial arts, go look for Elder Zaner. Don't try to teach yourself. That would put your health at risk. "
Le Finn shook his head and walked toward the door. Halfway through the doorway, he paused in his footsteps while saying,
"If you need any herbal medicine, go to the pharmacy. From now on, I'll allow you two thousand silver coins every month."
Then, he took great strides and left
Louir Cayv, Le Finn's second concubine, was wiping away the sweat on Le Xaan's face with a towel.
She let out a long breath.
"The head of the Xavir family and your father were such intimate sworn brothers that he is extremely distressed following the tragic incident. Your desire to learn some martial arts is commendable. But, usually, martial artists begin their training at a very young age. Given your current age, it may be rather late..."
Louir Cayv's nagging went on and on. Yet, Le Xaan paid no attention to it.
He was now focused on the Black Tiger Blade Style.
"So wonderful, isn't it... "
Le Xaan was now feeling his body while narrowing his eyes.
He tensed his arm muscle.
"The muscles seem unchanged themselves. But it give me the sensation as if I have practiced wielding a blade for so long... "
He then tried his lower body muscles.
He sensed he could summon up their strength with great ease.
He felt clearly that a stream of power surged up from his legs to his waist, then to his arms.
This way that strength was communicated was described in detail in the brochure.
It was called 'Strength Flow'.
"According to the book, typically, each set of martial arts has its own way to marshal up a practitioner's strength.
If one can muster half of their full-body strength in executing a move, they can be counted as an expert. If it is eighty percent, then they have reached the level called 'Strength Flow'."
Le Xaan recalled from this body's memories that Elder Zaner and the other martial arts masters had talked about 'Strength Flow' many a time.
In Gourian City, achieving 'Strength Flow' meant Le Xaan could be reckoned as a top-notch expert.
If an ordinary could unleash all of his strength while executing a move, his speed and strength would be terrifying as well.
"Elder Zaner is one who has reached 'Strength Flow'... "
Le Xaan felt relieved after coming to the conclusion that the cheat tool was
useful as expected.
"Unfortunately, the cheat tool worked by consuming a lot of my vitality. This time I just modify the level of an third-rate blade style, yet I almost fell heavily ill. If it is those legendary martial arts, what would happen... "
Le Xaan got at the essence of the cheat tool in ambiguous terms.
It was just a modifier that could engrave one's body with experiences, memories, instincts and the like.
The modification was fueled by one's vitality.
And the adjustment was not completed in one go.
"Employing one's body as raw materials, the cheat tool would forge a new pattern by which the body's fleshes are organized. It is never capable of upgrading one's muscles or bones, or anything else.
This was what Le Xaan suspected.
In the next few days, his guesses were proved correct.
He began to recover bit by bit, and his muscle grew well-toned on his limbs, chest and back.
And the skin became covered with a thick corneous layer on his palms.
And his capacity for food increased by a lot.
He would often go out and wolf down food in restaurants.
At home, he would eat four meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a midnight snack.
He would additionally eat the same amount of food outside.
Seven days later, Le Xaan grew a lot more brawny than ever.
He had returned the brochure to Elder Zaner long before.
Elder Zaner knew that Le Xaan had fallen ill. When Le Xaan handed the book back, Elder Zaner could not help but shake his head and sigh, no longer asking whether Le Xaan would like to learn the blade style or not.
Elder Zaner might have believed that Le Xaan had injured himself from practicing the set of blade techniques recklessly; at least, that was Le Xaan's assumption.
In reality, Elder Zaner did indeed hold that belief.
Elder Zaner was originally waiting for Le Xaan to consult him about how to practice the set of blade techniques. Unexpectedly, Le Xaan injured himself.
After Le Xaan gave the brochure back to him, he no longer inquired Elder Zaner anything.
Thus, Elder Zaner assumed that Le Xaan was not interested in learning it and had already given up.
Without a word, Elder Zaner sighed.
Normalcy was swiftly restored soon after the Xavirs' evaporation, as if nothing had ever happened.
The family's young generation enjoyed various typical pastimes, such as going on a hike, heading to brothels, watching operas, horseback riding, or other forms of entertainments...
The old generation lingered in the midst of all sorts of gatherings.
Le Finn threw himself into the management of his businesses.
Everyone seemed to have forgotten all about the tragic incident and returned to their usual lives.
But two among them were exceptions --- Le Yeeli and Le Xaan. Having lost her expected husband, Le Yeeli spent her days in tears and grew more haggard day by day.
As for Le Xaan, he ventured outside the mansion more often, but not to indulge in frivolities. Actually, he headed to a remote, open woody area where he could practice the Black Tiger Blade Style in solitude.
