He finally got off the call with the doctor and the relief that engulfed his entire body after the call was due to the good news that his mother has fully recovered. But the weight that has has been on the shoulder of the man for weeks suddenly vanished but his brain was doing somersaults.
Without any second thought, he evoked the system in his head.
System, Can it be done asked the boy as he tried to remember how the potion cured his mother and thought to himself I could use it again and may be for somebody else.
[Analyzing…]
The system's voice came again saying that it had just started working, analyzing the potion residue which remained on the exterior. Aiden stood still, still waiting for him as he walked away towards his home to, but the feeling of being followed returned to him. Stopping momentarily he tilted his head like he was trying to focus his vision and determine what was going on around him on the street. Life in the city was breathing as usual, and there was nothing suspicious with anyone.
Senzanter, Aiden continued moving towards the park which he usually used in his training. To him, the open space would make him relax and what the system had been assigning him each day in terms of quests would be easier to accomplish. After he got there, he begins his work immediately.
After he had successfully completed the last set of his day's training regimen, a notification he knew all too well filled his field of view.

Aiden was also shocked that is why he exclaimed. He thought his working day was going to be like any other and it was utterly different.

And then the system created two perfectly black and polished double-edged daggers in his hands. They hovered in mid-air for a moment, and the metallic bodies of the two gave off the softest luminescence. In a split second when Aiden attempted to make a contact with the children, another message appeared.
[System Alert: [Processing of the analysis on equipment…]

Aiden furrowed his brow. It looked like the system was in a dilemma trying to breakdown weapons so that it could capture an almost perfect depiction of the weapon but nevertheless; it did something lesser to it.
[Power: The daggers are attach to the user. It will develop just as how the master does.
He just clutched the daggers, savouring the lightness and symmetry of the weapons he was holding. However, the rank information was concealed and there appeared "???" icon in the status bar. Even as he was putting his powers to work, as he was experimenting with the darkness within him in order to kill the old man among others, Aiden could sense a rather weak, yet palpable pulse of power in them as if they were alive, if only waiting for Aiden to become a more formidable force.
Before he started finding out the stability of the daggers, he received another notification.
[Potion analysis complete. ]
As the last dish was served, Aiden immediately raised the screen by choosing to go back to the recipe in case it will be needed in the following days. He looked at the list of ingredients that were given in the book and read it until he could recite each of them by heart. But right after that, another message on the system's prompt screen caught his eyes before it could sink to his brain.
[System Update Available]
[The system would like to be upgraded now The upgrade will limit access to the features of the system to only Inventory and Stats for now, Do you accept?]
For a brief moment, Aiden thought and considered the possible consequences of the actions that he was planning on taking. However, the system had developed him so much within the brief period he could not allow himself to be rigid now.
"I accept," he said and when he spoke, the previously set arrangement of the system screen changed into another one.
[System Update, Please Wait… All features of the game will be disabled during the update but Inventory and Stats shall remain unavailable after the update is done. ]
With that the familiar GUI disappeared and only the minimal unintrusive status bar and the inventory window appeared. Although Aiden had a slight discomfort when he lacked full functionality of the system, it was rather needed for him.
They continue seeing the two black daggers clutched in his hands being moved away from him. As it stands, the analysis that the system was capable of was still small; but he could see what was possible. The blades were alive with energy like they were ready for the day when they will be released.
As for now, the only thing that remained to be done was to wait until the update of the system has finished.
