The night was windy, cold and scary, a little girl whimpered as gunshots echoed tears continuously flowed from her eyes as she stared at her half coucious parents they kept urging her to run
" mum , dad " she cried
" Leave lillia we will be fine " her father said as he tried pushing her out of the car which she didn't burge
She tugged unto her dad
" where papa" lillia asked, as tears constantly flowed like streams from her eyes she didn't want to go
The gunshots was getting more nearer now making the both parents panic
" don't worry baby we will come get you okay, run very far alright go" her mother assured her giving a painful half smile
" mama" the little girl tugged unto her more tighter she obviously didn't want to leave
Huge footsteps was dangerously coming closer to them, the gunshots were getting more closer
" Run lillia run now" her mother hurried her fear was evident on her face
Sensing the fear on her mother's face she nodded she ran as far her little leg could carry her she didn't go far
" BANG" she turned
" LILLIA" was the last word she heard before something heavy landed on her head passing out
" NO" a scared voice shouted as she sat on her bed, sweat trickled down her face as she heaved heavily her heart was beating fast she held her chest
" it was a dream" she muttered calming down, this particular dream has been hunting her for the past 13 years it was as if she couldn't point out,she couldn't point out it kept recurring to her the same way it happened that night, she sighed
" we will be fine" she murmured those words now sounds weird to her, that was the exact reasuring words her parents told her but
" no thinking about the past lillia" a tender old voice said as she saw her thinking out again, standing at the door of her bedroom she walked in
" I wasn't" lillia sighed
" you where " Mary said walking towards her
" The dream as usual" lillia sighed again walking towards her bathroom
" what did you see ?" Mary asked coming closer she touched her forehead lillia shrugged it off
" that's enough you can go back to your room I am fine" lillia said coldly entering the bathroom
" okay" Mary sighed she was already used to her cold behavior, since she lost her parents she has always been like that, sometimes cold sometimes hot and for some reason she hates been cared for
She as her grandmother understood her feeling's it wasn't easy loosing one parents at the tender age of 8, for the past 13 years she didn't seem to get past it.
Mary tried her best in being the best grandma anyway
" Don't be late for the interview today" Mary shouted for her to hear
" your reminder always gives me badluck" lillia spoke coldly from the bathroom , frowning she was disturbing her bath
" Lillia" Mary couldn't help this rude daughter of hers
" you won't answer" Mary asked but no answer, coming closer she heard the loud springs of water coming fromthe bathroom
Mary sighed how colder could this girl become she walked towards her closet picked out some clothes for her, then she walked out closing the door behind her.
" finally she left" lillia rolled her eyes and continued bathing, after bathing she came out towel wrapped around her chest as she dried her shoulder lengthed hair she looked around the room her grandmother was gone, as usual she has tidied up the room including making her bed and of course setting out cloths to wear for her countless interview, she been trying for almost a month now.
But of course today she won't be putting on the cloth she brought out today she was going to wear her own choice of cloths today.
She walked towards the clothes, her grandma was just too much as she stared at the neatly folded cloths on the bed she smiled then frowned
" not putting that on today" she murmured
dropping the towel she used in drying her hair she walked towards her small sized lady table which consisits of a mini sized mirror a few touch up kits and deodorants.
" I must try to get a job today" she muttered this should be the 10th time and she was gradually losing hope but her kind of girl don't give up easily.she must keep trying to help her old grandma abit.
She stared at the mirror she must look good at least she doesn't need much makeup just a little touchup for her dark circles it was an eye sore.
After some minutes she was all done and ready she stared at her reflection on the mirror she smiled, she wore clothes different from what her grandma brought out for her, a short sleeved shirt , penciled black formal skirt, she nodded
,"I think this is more professional to me than those " she threw a side look towards the folded cloths on the bed.
She paired her cloths with a moderate black eggshell, her hair was tied in a neat bun. grabbing her phone, the files and her hand bag she rushed out of the room.
