Chapter 6 - Tommorow’s Another Day

It's quite unclear why my last words were, "Why doesn't Bonnie have eyebrows?" It's a question that I never got to ask Afton before he left. Does Foxy have eyebrows? I should close this door before Bonnie gets me. Snapping out of my thoughts, I pressed the big red button to close the door. The metal door closed almost immediately. Bonnie banged on the door, and with every three bangs, I could hear him groan. The banging on the door persisted until it stopped. I pressed my ear on the cold metal door, listening for Bonnie's groan. Aside from hearing the office's devices humming, I heard nothing from the other end. I pressed the white button to turn on the light. The light illuminated the window, showing Bonnie wasn't there.

I sighed in relief and pressed the red button to open the door. I poked my head out to investigate where Bonnie had gone, but he was nowhere near the hallway. I glanced at the camera monitor to check the time. It was 2:45 AM. "Already almost 3:00 AM, huh? I guess time travels faster when you're in front of something scary." I thought. I sat back down on the security chair and checked the cameras, searching for where Bonnie had gone. I checked Cam 1A, but Bonnie wasn't there.

Instead, Chica was missing from the stage.

I frantically checked the cameras: Cam 1B, Cam 7, and Cam 5, but Chica did not show up in any of those places. I then heard what sounded like a loud clanking of pots and pans. The sounds came from Cam 6, which I assumed was the kitchen. The camera was not working, so I couldn't see what was happening inside the kitchen. I shifted my attention from Chica to Bonnie. I clicked and checked camera after camera until I located Bonnie on Cam 5. Bonnie was in the backstage room. He was awkwardly close to the camera, and you could see his exoskeleton. He also wore the same white eyes that Golden Freddy had when I last talked to him.

The noise from the kitchen stopped, and I heard metallic footsteps in the right hallway. I quickly switched from Cam 5 to Cam 4A. Chica's yellow color stood out Despite being very dark in the hallway. I got up from the security chair and peeked outside the right door. I could see her at the end of the hallway, staring at me. "You can be scary from afar," I said jokingly. She then moved forward, and I instinctively closed the door. "She didn't like that," I said, turning back to my security chair. Chica was doing the same thing Bonnie was doing. She kept hitting the door repeatedly until she stopped and turned the other way.

"This is going to be an easy paycheck," I said, sitting back down on the security chair. I leaned back a bit and glanced at the clock. It was 5:00 AM. Just then, my vision went haywire. It displayed all of the animatronic characters in a flash, while the words "IT'S ME" obscured my view. My vision then went back to normal. "What the fuck was that?" I said. I looked at the room, confused. I glanced at the clock again. It was 6:00 AM. "Maybe it was just a hallucination," I thought to myself. I got up from the security chair and pressed the white button on the right door. The light illuminated the hallway, indicating nothing there. I pressed the red button to open the metal door.

I walked out of the security office and strolled down the dark hallway. I stopped in front of a row of posters. The posters each had "My Fun Day" written on them in colorful, bold letters. The posters also had some kids interacting with the animatronic characters. Again, I experienced the same hallucination, but this time instead of "IT'S ME," it was "SAVE THEM" written all over the hallucinations. A hand touched my shoulder, interrupting the hallucinations. I turned around quickly to find a man behind me.

"Whoa, hey, it's ok, it's just me, Henry," he assured me. I recognized his voice from our phone call yesterday. I sighed out of relief hearing a familiar voice.

"I'm sorry, sir, just a bit anxious," I replied, rubbing my eyes.

"It's ok; it's usually like that on the first night," Henry replied. "And please, just call me Henry; no need to be formal," he added.

"Okay, Henry," I said, propping my back to be straight for proper posture. I looked at him closely this time. He wore an orange v-neck and jeans overalls. Behind the V-neck, Henry wore what looked like a checkered button-up shirt. He also had glasses and a Van Dyke mustache. His eyes were incredible, Hazel.

"Well, I'm here to take the day shift. You get some rest; you need it," Henry said, patting my shoulder before walking to the office.

I looked back and saw him go into the security office. I continued walking until I reached the dining room. Bonnie, Chica, and Freddy were all standing on the stage like they did not move.

"All big and bad till the parents arrive, eh?" I said. I continued walking to the restaurant's door, passing the prize corner. I creaked open the doors to the restaurant, adjusting to the sunlight. I walked to my car, but before getting in, I took a better look at the restaurant. It had a cartoonish bear in the front with the words "Freddy Fazbears Pizza" in the front. The restaurant gave off an eerie feeling that was unexplainable. I wasn't sure if it was because the place looked rundown. There were a few boarded-up windows, a lot less color in the bricks, and a few scattered black spots. There was no life around the restaurant or cars nearby, adding to its eerie vibe. I got in my car and turned on the engine.

I arrived back to my dorm. I closed the door and flopped on the bed, ready to go to sleep. "Last night was eventful," I said as I turned to my side to get more comfortable. Just then, the door to the dorm opened. It's my roommate, Robin.

"Hey Mike," he said, closing the door and putting down his backpack. "Today's medical exam was a bitch, but I got through it after countless hours of studying," he added.

"Oh yeah?" I replied. "Good thing I don't want to become a doctor; it sounds like a nightmare," I added.

"But the hard work pays off; I get one of the highest-paying jobs out there," Robin said. He sighed and flopped on the couch, kicking his shoes off. "What did you do all night?" Robin asked.

"I was working," I said sleepily.

"Working where?" he asked.

"As a nightguard for Freddy Fazbears Pizza," I replied. Robin shot up from the couch, looking surreal.

"Out of all places, you picked to work there?!" Robin said.

"What's wrong with it?" I replied.

"What's wrong with it? Haven't you heard the rumors about that place?" Robin inquired.

"No," I replied, shifting my body to look at him.

"Freddy Fazbears is the place where people have gone missing," Robin said. "The rumors say that the place is haunted by ghosts that possess the animatronics and they make them move around at night," he explained. "The scary part is that five children went missing during a birthday party," he added.

"Did they find them?" I asked.

"That's the worst part; they were never found!" Robin said. He got up and inched closer to me. "My suggestion to you is to get another job; it's not worth it," he added.

"But that's just rumors; it's probably not even true," I said, turning my side again so I could sleep.

"Don't say I didn't warn you," Robin said.

I ignored him and closed my eyes, prepared to sleep.
