The next day.
Base One Treatment Room.
The Trident's headquarters.
Morgan opened his eyes and saw himself lying on a bed. The first thing his eyes saw was the room's ceiling.
His clothes had changed into a patient suit, the incision wound on his body had been covered with plaster. Things like that made Morgan believe that he was in the city hospital.
'Yesterday's fight... I think I overexerted myself,' Morgan complained to himself.
Flashbacks of yesterday's battle were still vividly remembered in Morgan's mind. Mathilda's absolute magic power was incredible and could even make Morgan suffer a crushing loss. However, when Mathilda was about to kill him, the figure of Morgana Le Fay was there to save Morgan's life.
"Morgana?" called Morgan.
"Morgana? Where are you? I have something to tell you," Morgan explained.
"Hey, Morgana? Did you hear me?" asked Morgan again.
Morgan called the servant's name several times, but the servant did not respond. Morgan had expected it. The woman's attitude was still cold towards him even though she saved Morgan yesterday without Morgan ordering her to.
'Is it possible she saved me yesterday because of the threatened sacred contract between servant and master?' Morgan asked inwardly.
The door to Morgan's infirmary suddenly opened. The figures who came to visit were Cillian, along with the young captain Mathilda. Morgan was shocked at their arrival, reflexively getting up and sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Captain Cillian, young Captain Mathilda," Morgan greeted.
"Don't be so formal, Morgan. You're just waking up," Cillian explained, asking Morgan to rest.
"Have you learned nature energy transformation magic?" asked Cillian.
"I've learned it, although quickly," Morgan replied.
"You can use it to restore your body's mana capacity," Cillian said, Morgan fully understanding.
"But I really didn't expect that you had summoned a servant. As I remember, the youngest age for a mage to summon a servant is 20," revealed Cillian.
Cillian smiled and closed both eyes while shaking his head, feeling disbelieved by yesterday's events that he saw for himself.
"If it wasn't for your servant, I would have killed you yesterday. I'm truly sorry, Morgan," Mathilda explained, bowing her head as she realized her guilt over yesterday's incident.
Morgan was silent for a moment, a sudden rule change in the middle of a fight was indeed unjustified, especially when the rule was related to a fight to the death. Morgan still couldn't accept Mathilda's apology.
"So, what happened to me after the fight?" asked Morgan.
"You fell unconscious with cuts and a lack of mana. They've treated the cuts on your body, but for the lack of mana, they—"
"Don't worry. I'll make the recovery by myself," interrupted Morgan.
Cillian smiled in agreement as he lightly patted Morgan's right shoulder, fully trusting in the young man's ability.
'Not only two elemental magic with a high level, but he can also use natural energy transformation mana recovery magic. Sasha, you're completely left behind by him,' Cillian told himself.
"So, have I officially joined the first squad?" asked Morgan, looking at Mathilda.
"That's right. According to the results of yesterday's battle, you belong to group seven of the seven groups in the first squad. A group of three to four people; you fill the third slot of that group," Mathilda replied.
"I understand."
"After you recover the mana in your body, you can join your group immediately. We are getting many missions out to hunt down Golden Crown members right now," Mathilda explained.
Hearing the name Golden Crown Order mentioned by Mathilda made Morgan's two palms clench tightly; an old grudge resurfaced about the cause of his father's death. Morgan's purpose for joining The Trident was clear; to destroy the Golden Crown Order.
"I will recover quickly and help you hunt them down. I won't stop until Alexander dies by my hand!" declared Morgan, full of ambition.
Cillian and Mathilda smiled, pleased with Morgan's high ambitions. The two walked away to let Morgan recover his mana capacity in peace. They would revisit Morgan the next day.
Morgan nodded, sitting cross-legged on the bed after Cillian and Mathilda left. Both palms met before his chest with his eyes closed, ready to receive the natural energy around the place and transform it into mana in Morgan's body.
[High Magic: Natural Energy Tranformation]
Streams of natural energy were identical to various colors that constantly flowed towards Morgan's body. The streams appeared from all directions to be immediately converted from natural energy into magic mana.
Arthur, the leader of The Trident, felt the flow of natural energy entering the headquarters to be absorbed by someone. Arthur continued to follow where the natural energy was going.
He found that the entire flow of natural energy entered a treatment room. When Arthur tried to approach the room, a female figure emerged from the dark red light. She was Morgana.
"Long time no see, King Arthur," Morgana said sarcastically.
"It's you, Morgana!" said Arthur.
Morgana immediately summoned a powerful magic aura that shook the roof and walls of the house. The siren rang loudly, putting everyone in the room on full alert. Cillian and Mathilda immediately realized the location of the great power coming from Morgan's treatment room.
Arriving there, Cillian and Mathilda were shocked to see a woman in a sexy black dress locked in a fierce stare-down with The Trident's leader, Arthur. Both exuded a strong magical aura with different colors; Morgana was dark maroon, while Arthur was bright blue.
"Servant power is amazing," declared Mathilda.
Everyone at The Trident headquarters knew very well who Arthur was. He wasn't an ordinary man; he was of medieval ancestry, and many legends were told about him, especially in the Great Britain regions. He was King Arthur.
'This power... there's no mistaking it, he is a pure servant. That sucks,' said Morgana, sensing the quantity of Arthur's magic aura was more numerous and powerful than hers.
'Bad choice to keep fighting him in my current form,' said Morgana.
Morgana turned her head to the side and saw dozens of people from the Trident group on guard, preparing with the magic circle they had appeared. Morgana sighed and quickly dispelled the magic aura on her body.
"You're lucky, Arthur. They're standing behind you," Morgana explained, her arms crossed over her breasts.
"I know. They are loyal to me. I'll make sure the Battle of Camlann doesn't happen for a second time," Arthur explained.
"You know absolutely nothing, Arthur!"
Morgana disappeared into the darkness; Arthur had no interest in chasing her. Arthur again saw the flow of natural energy begin to stop in the room, a sign that Morgan was finished with his mana gathering.
"Is she a threat to us?" asked Cillian, walking up to Arthur.
"As long as she's under contract with Morgan, then she is no threat to us," Arthur replied, walking away.
'Morgana Le Fay. I wonder if that child can change your nature?'

Six months later.
The Trident's headquarters.
[High Magic: Wind Speed Acceleration]
Morgan quickly moved between the trees in the forest, accompanied by the green magic flow of the wind element. Together with Jordan and Nura, they were on an ambush mission to a village suspected to be the hidden headquarters of the Golden Crown Order.
"Go after them, Morgan. Don't let them get away from us!" explained Nura, the captain of the seventh group in The Trident's first squad.
Currently, the trio was sprinting with their elemental strength to catch up to the three fleeing order members. Morgan was always excited when tasked with capturing order members.
"Incredible wind speed. I heard he also practiced the light element even though it was only up to the intermediate level," Jordan explained, running beside Nura.
"He's from the Romarich Family. He must have received different magical training from us. He doesn't even need to join the academy with his current abilities," revealed Nura.
Morgan was still speeding along with the power of the wind element, creating strong gusts of wind that swayed the branches and leaves of the trees he passed. Morgan's eyes could see the figures of the three fleeing order members.
"You can't get away from me, damn it!" snapped Morgan, stretching his hand forward.
[High Magic: Circle of Flame Prison]
The three order members were trapped in the circle of flames that blazed hotly around them, the flames continuing to burn up to the height of an adult's chest. One of the order members turned his face back, glaring at Morgan sharply.
"You!" snapped the order member, realizing they couldn't escape easily.
Morgan was still floating in the air with the help of his wind elemental magic. The young man's hands stretched forward with sharp eyes staring at each of the three order members.
Instantly, a chain of flames emerged from the ground to shackle the three. Nura and Jordan arrived and saw that Morgan could easily handle the three.
"Let them go, Morgan. Our mission is to get them back to base alive," Nura ordered Morgan.
"I know, Captain Nura. This won't kill them," Morgan replied.
The shackles on the three order members' hands heated up, causing their wrists to blister and burn. They cried out in pain until their screams could be heard all the way to the village. Nura panicked at Morgan's unstable temper.
"Morgan!" Nura shouted.
Morgan sighed and lowered his hands, letting the shackles remain but not so hot as to burn their hands again. The circle of flame prison disappeared, Jordan walked over to catch them.
[High Magic: Earth Cage]
Through the magic circle before Jordan, rocks appeared and locked the three order members inside, a strong prison that no magic could easily destroy.
"Everyone has been captured. Let's return!" commanded Nura.
The three Trident members returned with the remaining three members of the order that had escaped. They moved quickly with the help of their elemental magic; it took half an hour for them to arrive at the base.
"Look! The seventh group of the first squad has returned from their mission."
"Woah. They managed to carry out the mission again. It's already ten times they've succeeded in their missions in a row."
"It must be because of that Romarich's ability. The descendant of a prestigious mage family in the UK is beyond doubt."
Jordan handed over three members of the order group to the sixth group, tasked with interrogation. Nura, Jordan, and Morgan met with Captain Mathilda at the main headquarters.
"Welcome. You guys finished ahead of the record for yesterday's mission," Mathilda explained, smiling as she welcomed the best team in her squad.
"This is thanks to Jordan and Morgan's abilities. We couldn't have completed the mission quickly without them," Nura said.
"That's good. Please take your reward," Mathilda pleaded, gesturing towards the reception desk.
There were three pieces of stone patterned with ancient script and gemstones that glowed bright green on them. The stones contained exp that would enter the mage's body and assist the mage in ascension.
Ascension is when a mage levels up in the Magic Arcana Field. Ascension is divided into two things; ascension rank and stage.
Ascension rank increases the mage's rank in the same stage. For example, ascension ranks from rank two to three in the Novice stage. Meanwhile, stage ascension is an increase to a new stage, for example, from the Novice to Advanced stage.
Morgan took the stone chip and held it with his right hand. A green aura began to surround the bodies of the three mages, a sign that their bodies had absorbed the exp provided properly.
The green-lit gem would be extinguished if the exp in the stone chip was fully absorbed. Nura and Jordan's stone chips had run out, unlike Morgan, who was still absorbing the exp.
Suddenly, the aura on Morgan's body turned into a flickering red color. Nura, Jordan, and Mathilda were shocked to see it; a flickering aura was a sign that a mage must do the Ascension Stage.
[Congratulations!]
[EXP has been fully accumulated]
[Ascension Stage Available]
[Field available: Magic Arcana 9 Senior Instructor ]
[Warning!]
[EXP will not increase if the user has not performed the Ascension Stage]
"Woah... you got a chance for the Ascension Stage," expressed Mathilda.
"I think so," Morgan explained, realizing the exp on the stone chip still remained.
"This is interesting. Come with me. I'll help you ascend the stage."
