The next day.
Romarich Family residence.
Since Morgan had fully awoken and recovered from the lack of mana in his body, the servant he summoned had yet to show her face before Morgan. They had only spoken to each other through their hearts.
Now, Alisha had informed the Trident group about Morgan's recovery. They said they would pick Morgan up at noon. Morgan should prepare to meet them.
"How are you?" asked Mira, entering Morgan's room to check on her niece.
Morgan turned around and looked at Mira. The young man smiled with a nod, indicating that his body and condition had completely recovered.
"Thank goodness. Did your servant show her appearance yet?" asked Mira. Morgan responded with a slow shake of his head.
"Huft... it's not certain when your servant has shown her face to you, but at least you're still talking to her, right?" asked Mira.
"Sometimes she answers my questions but mostly ignores me," Morgan replied.
Morgan returned to staring ahead, both hands holding the window frame as he continued to look at the front yard of the Romarich residence, right where the flower garden was blooming.
"It's like I have to get stronger for her to admit my abilities," Morgan explained, holding the red abstract pattern on his chest.
Mira nodded, fully agreeing with Morgan's explanation. In order to control a servant who possessed great abilities, mana control and magic power must be able to balance it.
According to Mira, Morgan had already become stronger than a young man of his age, but that strength was not enough if Morgan wanted to control a servant, let alone an S-rank servant.
"S rank servants are powerful ones. They are endowed with tremendous power even at the first expansion stage. However, their great power must be accompanied by the ability of the mage behind them to be equally powerful," Mira explained.
"Don't worry. If you join the Trident group, you can definitely get stronger," Mira explained.
Morgan sighed softly and lifted his head up, watching the bright, cloudy city sky that afternoon. There were other reasons why Morgan chose to join the Trident, one of which was to locate King Alexander and kill him in revenge for Jaquelin's death.
That grudge had to be avenged, no matter what. Those who had gotten Jaquelin killed had to feel the pain that Morgan would give them.
"The Golden Crown Order! That's what I joined the Trident for." Morgan's eyes were wide and filled with great ambition and passion. Mira smiled a bit, feeling confident that Morgan would one day be able to destroy the order.
While they were talking, Morgan could clearly see through his bedroom window a black sedan arriving at the front yard of the Romarich residence. The door opened, revealing two men in navy blue suits typical of the Trident group's uniform.
"They're coming."
With one move, Morgan jumped from the bedroom window, and a stream of red light came out of him. Mira closed her eyes briefly to prevent dust from entering, then quickly looked forward again.
'He's learned the magic leap technique. That's good, Morgan,' revealed Mira.
The two representatives of the Trident Group stopped walking as they watched the figure of a young man younger than them arrive in front of them using a magic movement technique.
"Are you Morgan Romarich?" asked one of the men, Morgan responded with a nod.
Mira and Alisha noticed the presence of the two representatives of the Trident group. They did the same, jumping from inside the house to arrive before the two men in navy blue uniforms. Their presence with the magic movement technique made the two Trident representatives immediately bow their heads in respect.
"Miss Alisha, Miss Mira," greeted the soldier.
"Give me a moment with him," Alisha explained. The two representatives of the Trident did not object at all.
"How are you, Morgan?" asked Alisha, carefully holding Morgan's head and waist.
"I'm fine. My energy has returned to normal, as well as my mana capacity," revealed Morgan.
"Thank goodness." Alisha reached into her pants pocket, taking out a cloth bag containing mystic gemstones instead of gold. Alisha said the stones would be useful for summoning medium to high-level magic, especially combined with Morgan's magic ability.
Morgan opened the cloth bag, looking at the contents carefully. There were 25 mystic gems inside, all of the different colors. However, since the Romarich family's basic element was wind, there were more green mystical gems than any other color.
"Don't act stupidly and carelessly, Morgan. Your opponent is much stronger than you; use this moment as practice so you can get stronger," Alisha pleaded, stroking Morgan's head of hair.
"I understand, Mom. I can also place myself well," Morgan explained.
Alisha knew Morgan would say that, but Alisha advised so because Morgan's age had not yet reached the age of maturity to choose when to act bravely and when to act wisely to retreat. The enthusiasm of young people is often not followed by their wisdom.
Alisha put her arms around Morgan's neck, hugging her son tightly. Mira stood near Alisha, smiling with teary eyes as she realized she was about to let go of the niece she had trained to join the Trident magic group.
After the heartbreaking farewell, Morgan left with the two Trident members who came to pick him up. They sat in the front seat as passenger and driver, while Morgan sat in the back seat.
"What was Captain Cillian really thinking? Recruiting a 16-year-old to the Trident's elite group of witches is absurd," said one of the representatives, denigrating Morgan's abilities.
"However, he is the son of Captain Jaquelin Romarich, the so-called genius wizard of this century. The blood of genius may run through him," said a fellow member.
They could talk so straightforwardly, not without reason. The car was not just a sedan; there was a barrier between the passenger and driver's seats. The metal barrier made the conversation in the front inaudible to the passengers in the back seat.
Morgan smiled shortsightedly, realizing they were talking about him. It made Morgan curious about what they were really talking about.
[High Magic: Enhanced Body Ability]
He increased his hearing ability until he could penetrate the iron wall before him. The faces of the two representatives who picked Morgan up could not be seen, but Morgan could hear the conversation between the two of them well.
"Not only that, Captain Cillian wants to put him in the first squad, the squad his father used to lead. I don't understand how our captains think," said the man driving the car.
"I think he should be placed in the last squad, logistics, with his age and abilities. That would be more useful for him," the male colleague explained.
"I agree about that. However, the captains' decision seems to be absolute. We'll probably see the moment where he gets crushed by Young Captain Mathilda," replied the car driver's man.
"Haha! I'll bet he definitely won't survive Young Captain Mathilda's three magic attacks," said the man's companion.
'Hmm... looks like this Mathilda person is going to give me a hard time,' Morgan complained.
They finally arrived at a large residence complex, heavily guarded by both mages and conventional troops. Morgan opened the glass window and saw a large, spacious building in the classic European modern architectural style.
'So, this is the main headquarters of the Trident group?' Morgan asked.
Morgan saw a group of men in red shirts from several places in the building. The man in front of Morgan explained that they were the team from the first squad.
The residence's front door opened, and the two representatives immediately entered Captain Cillian's office. One of the men knocked on the door, and there was a call from inside the room asking the person behind the door to come in.
The door opened. Cillian smiled widely when he realized it was Morgan, the person he had been waiting for since last week.
"Are you okay? What exactly happened to you?" asked Cillian, checking Morgan's condition through his eyes.
"I was just exhausted and lacking mana, then I fainted for a while," Morgan explained.
'That's a poor excuse. It won't do much to convince Arthur,' Cillian said.
While Morgan and Cillian were talking, a woman in a red T-shirt arrived. She asked Cillian about the person who would enter and join the first squad. Cillian introduced Morgan to Young Captain Mathilda.
"Tch! It's not because of your family name that you can join here. This is my team, so you have to follow my rules," explained Mathilda, a woman with dark reddish hair in a ponytail.
Morgan nodded, ready to follow Mathilda's rules. Mathilda responded with a smirk, only asking Morgan to abide by one of her rules. If he could pass that rule, Mathilda would allow Morgan to join.
"What's that?" asked Morgan.
"You have to be able to hold your own against me."
