Chapter 1 - The Age of Kings Begin

Washington DC.

The US.

Year 2165.

Explosions explode all over the city. People who have not evacuated become victims of a war they never thought possible.

Jaquelin Romarich, a 45-year-old man with white hair and a muscular body, tries his best to avoid the barrage of fire from white-robed witches. They called themselves loyal members of the Order of the Golden Crown.

"Cillian!" shouted Jaquelin.

Cillian Mason, Jaquelin's trusted companion. The man was five years younger than Jaquelin and seemed to be shielding himself behind the flipped car. Jaquelin managed to peek at Cillian's whereabouts from his current position.

"I understand," uttered Cillian, hearing the order from Jaquelin.

"William!" shouted Cillian.

A knight in white armor was seen sitting on his steed. His armor and white dragonlance spear suddenly drew more attention from the Golden Crown's mage army.

William Wallace, one of the A-class servants, was summoned by Cillian Mason. Not only William Wallace but also Cillian summoned another servant, a high-level mage, according to his needs.

"They are extremely powerful. I'm sure they've used the relic gem," William stated.

"Do you know the location of Alexander the Great?" asked Cillian.

The man on the horse shook his head. Through his vision and magic detection sensors, he could not find the whereabouts of the servant summoned by the order of the Golden Crown.

"It seems he's covering his body with mana to prevent us from detecting him," Cillian replied.

"Cassandra," Cillian called out.

In the blazing red light, the figure of a blonde-haired woman in a long red dress arrived. On top of her head, there was a crown made of flowers. In her right hand was a wand as tall as an adult woman's body, with the rounded end of the staff decorated with thorny rose stems.

"It's easy for me to find him," declared Cassandra, a woman famous for her clairvoyance magic during the Greek period.

Cassandra's wand was pointed forward, creating a red magic glow above the Washington sky. The sparkles merged together to form a magic circle with an ancient script, continuously rotating clockwise.

[Servant Skill: Sky Vision]

From Cassandra's eyes, she was able to see through solid objects thanks to her Servant Skill. Each Servant is endowed with three skills, the third one being the ultimate skill.

[Target found]

[Name: King Alexander III of the Kingdom of Macedonia]

[Class: Knight]

[Rank: -]

"He's there, standing with his master," Cassandra explained.

"Did you hear her, Jaquelin?" asked Cillian.

Jaquelin agreed with a nod. Speeding through the corridors of the collapsed building to arrive at the location Cassandra had indicated.

[High Magic: Burst of Inferno Fire]

The man leaped forward and launched his attack directly at the Master of Alexander The Great. However, the servant's vigilance managed to block Jaquelin's high-level magic.

"You!" snapped Alexander, pointing at Jaquelin with his sword.

Alexander pushed his master's body away from the battlefield. Alexander leaped toward Jaquelin with his sword swinging straight ahead, hoping to stab the man.

Jaquelin was cornered, his hands raised to create a magical barrier strong enough to withstand Alexander's swinging sword.

"Where is the Ark of Gilgamesh?!" demanded Alexander, insisting.

"The Ark is safe with me. You won't be able to summon him without the ark," Jaquelin retorted.

"Don't mess with me, lowly human!" said Alexander.

[Servant Skill: Blade of the Desert Splitter]

Jaquelin's eyes saw the sword blade Alexander was holding flare brightly in yellowish-red, accompanied by a strong gust of wind and a thunderous flash of lightning.

'I'll die if I try to block his attack!' Jaquelin lamented.

"Let me destroy your mansion and kill all your family to find that damn artifact!" snapped Alexander.

[Servant Skill: Illusion of the Trojan Garden]

Flying flowers filled the building where Jaquelin was cornered. Jaquelin looked to the side and saw that it was Cassandra's servant skill. Realizing there was a gap to leave, Jaquelin rolled to the side and jumped off the top of the building.

'This illusion? The witch seems to want to join the fight,' complained Alexander

[High Magic: Manipulation of Gravitational Mana]

Jaquelin could overcome the deadlock by walking freely in the city sky with this ability. Alexander swung his sword vigorously in a circle, accompanied by a yellowish-red flash that could cut through anything 2km away.

"Damn witch! I'll capture you and make you my slave!" Alexander snapped.

Alexander took a deep breath and then exhaled again. He saw Jaquelin walking freely in the sky with mana manipulation for gravity on the soles of his feet.

"You can't avoid me!" snapped Alexander, leaping forward to catch Jaquelin's body.

Realizing Alexander was still chasing him left Jaquelin with no other choice. He took a dagger from his back pocket and cast enhanced magic on it.

[Mid Magic: Object Material Enhancement]

The blade of Jaquelin's dagger glowed bright white, indicating the enhancement magic had worked well. Alexander giggled; what fool would dare to fight Alexander The Great with a dusty dagger?

"You moron, do you think such a small dagger can defeat me, you piece of shit?!" snapped Alexander. He swung his sword forward until the blade clashed with the dagger.

"Of course not. It's just buying time," Jaquelin explained, struggling to withstand the force of Alexander's sword swing.

'Just withstanding his attacks can make me lose this many HP? Pure Servant is truly amazing,' Jaquelin said.

"Now, Tomyris!" said Jaquelin.

Alexander widened his eyes. From behind his back, the armored woman with the arrow of light stood tall in the sky. She pulled the string of the magic bow and targeted Alexander's body with a blow to his left chest.

"What? Servant?!" asked Alexander.

[High Magic: Chain of Shackling Light]

Jaquelin didn't run out of ideas. He cast another high-level magic spell to bring forth hundreds of chains with sharp edges, stabbing into Alexander's body to make him freeze in place for a moment.

Alexander's body was bludgeoned with the sharp ends of the chains. Blood vomited out of Alexander's mouth and made it difficult for the man to move.

"Do you mind, Cillian?" asked Jaquelin, holding Alexander's body firmly.

William rode fast with the tip of his spear glowing brightly in the blue flames, drawn forward, ready to pierce Alexander's body. From the other side, Cassandra was already preparing lightning magic that would immobilize all of Alexander's senses.

"HYAAA!"

[Threat detected]

[Starts to enter Wrath Mode]

[00:05:00]

Alexander screamed loudly, his body starting to turn red and wrath mode. Jaquelin clucked his tongue, annoyed by Alexander's tremendous strength. Alexander only had five minutes in wrath mode to defeat them all.

"His power is increasing. All of you be careful!" declared Jaquelin.

Tomyris unleashed his arrow of light straight ahead. William managed to stab Alexander in the stomach, Cassandra rained thunderbolts down on Alexander's body.

"Your attacks are pathetic!"

[Ultimate Skill: Thunderous Macedonian Storm]

A magic circle was created on the ground, creating a massive tornado of ten that continued to spin ferociously around the place, accompanied by a rumble of lightning and a rain of sharp golden blade spears.

Cillian was carried away by Cassandra, William bounced away when hit by the wind from the tornado.

"Wait, we have to save Jaquelin!" Cillian insisted.

"He won't survive. That's my prophecy, and you have to believe it," Cassandra revealed.

The mana in Jaquelin's body was drastically reduced. Besides the tornado that spawned, Alexander's ultimate skill also reduced the mana and life energy of the people in the area. Jaquelin became one of the people affected.

'Damn it! What kind of power effect is this?!' Jaquelin complained, feeling his mana being drained every second he stayed in the servant skill's ultimate area.

Tomyris flew towards Jaquelin, about to save his Master from the death threat. However, he was caught off guard by Alexander's hand. The burly hands of the conquering King of Macedonia managed to choke Jaquelin's neck tightly.

"A mere mortal like you can't stand a chance against me!" declared Alexander.

Jaquelin's face turned blue, he kept trying to break free and even attacked Alexander's face with both hands. Tomyris tried her best to break Alexander's hold on Jaquelin, but she was thwarted by the pure servant's tornado wind magic.

"Y-You will fail! The Order of the Golden Crown will not succeed!" insisted Jaquelin, his eyes red.

"Wait, Alexander. We need Jaquelin alive to find out the location of the—"

Alexander squeezed forcefully until Jaquelin's neck was crushed, his head severed from his body. Jaquelin Romarich died at once, falling from the sky in horrible shape.

The Master of Alexander the Great, Florentino De Mortier, was shocked to find Jaquelin dead at Alexander's hands, not as he had planned. Now, the Order of the Golden Crown's steps to find the Ark of Gilgamesh were getting difficult.

"Jaquelin!" shouted Cillian, watching from afar as his friend died a horrible death at the hands of Alexander the Great.

Alexander turned his head to the side, seeing Cillian, who was still alive with only a head wound. William and Cassandra were still protecting Cillian.

"We cannot win against him. We must withdraw, Master," William said firmly.

"Very well. But we must try to take Jaquelin's body from—"

Alexander seemed to walk down from the sky, approaching the body of Jaquelin and burning it with fire magic until it was left as black ashes of cremation. Cillian's hands were clenched so tightly that they bled, his eyes burning with vengeance against Alexander and the Order of the Golden Crown for the death of his best friend.

"The Trident will avenge Jaquelin's death! Morgan will kill you. I'll make sure of it!" Cillian shouted.

"Morgan? Hmm, I'll keep him in mind. Make sure you tell everyone the truth about his death!" insisted Alexander.

"Go and tell them that your sainted savior has come into this world," explained Alexander, not interested in continuing to chase after Cillian Mason.

With lightning speed, Cillian left the place with Cassandra and William Wallace. Tomyris was still in that place, the consciousness in her head slowly fading away, as well as her existence as a servant.

[WARNING!]

[HP Master undetected]

[MP Master undetected]

[Sacred Contract Terminated]

[Initiate spirit servant transfer to soul realm]

[00:02:59]

The death of the Master of the servants marked the end of the servant's duty in that world. Tomyris could see the system panel warning that appeared before her; she had only three minutes before all her spirits were pulled back to the realm of the soul.

Tomyris' legs began to turn into particles of light that faded away as if being blown away by the wind. Jaquelin had no last words to say to Tomyris before he died.

"What is a human life to you, Alexander?" asked Tomyris.

"To the strong, they are allies to me. Those who are weak are merely sheep lost to their shepherd, prey for the strong," emphasized Alexander.

"Conquest is my purpose. You, a woman, will never know the true ambition of a conquering King like me," Alexander retorted.

Tomyris tried to get up by taking flight before disappearing completely right before Alexander.

"You must remember, Alexander the Great. A conqueror always dies at the hands of a commoner. You'd better be careful with humans in this age."

"They always learn from their mistakes."

"HAHA! No one can defeat me, not in the past or the present," declared Alexander.

Tomyris' existence was left with only her neck and head, her consciousness fading away as her spirit energy began to dissipate. Just before Tomyris was about to say the last sentence, her existence disappeared into the sky like pieces of light.

"HAHA!"

"No one shall be able to defeat me. I, Alexander III of Macedonia, hereby declare that the world is mine!" Alexander declared, speaking accompanied by thunder and sandstorms.

"For those who dared to revolt, death is certain for them!"
