Alex was about to leave when he suddenly realized an important issue - his stomach was growling loudly. He just remembered that it had been quite a while since he last ate anything.
"Oh, am I hungry? It's been so long since I've eaten that I forgot my body is still too weak right now. I can't absorb energy from nature to replace food. Guess I'll have to find something to eat."
With his current condition, Alex couldn't go on without eating for this long without feeling hunger under normal circumstances.
The energy fruit, true to its name, contained a large amount of energy. Besides helping him break through, it also provided a small amount of energy - just enough to maintain a healthy state for a while when no food was available.
Alex looked around. Most of the houses were no longer intact. Only a few, which had been built incredibly solidly, could remain stable after the recent massive tremor.
