King didn't reply anymore and just stayed silent. The less information he revealed, the better. And by the looks of it, he wouldn't have a hard time. That Jax only seemed to consider his words lightly.
Soon, Jax finished collecting souls. King looked at him with bewilderment. He frowned and didn't know what to do this time.
''Kekeke, hehehe, HA HA HA HA!''
Right now, Jax was looking at the Scroll. A wide and smug smile surfaced on his face. And he was even laughing, like the madman he had finally become.
First, he showed amazing things. But now he was acting crazy? What happened to this brat?
Curious, King went beside Jax to see what he was reading on the Scroll. Only to be shocked a second later.
''This... Isn't this the First Language? Are you able to read it?'' King immediately recognized the characters. He gasped as he looked at Jax and the Scroll in disbelief. Who would have thought that this young brat could actually read the lost language that had already been forgotten by the world?
But more than that...
To think that the language written on that Scroll was actually the First Language... Just who on earth created that thing? That Scroll was definitely not ordinary.
''Huh? What do you mean by... Huh?'' Jax was bewildered at first by King's sudden response. However, when he looked again at the words written on the Scroll, he just realized that those characters weren't the characters he first knew. It was written in a different language that he shouldn't have been able to understand.
But the strange part was that he was able to read it naturally as though he knew how to read it since birth. That was probably the reason why he didn't notice the difference until now.
''This... I also don't know.'' In response to King's doubt, Jax scratched the back of his head as he laughed dryly. After a short moment, he added, ''Ha ha, I'm just suddenly able to read it. That has never happened before.''
''What?!'' King almost fell down to the ground. Many people would take their lifetime just to be able to read and understand a few words of the First Language. It wasn't an ordinary language, after all. It was the language used by God to create all things. And it was also the same language used by the Higher Beings to maintain supremacy.
That language carries incredible power that if a human learned to read and write it, they already have limitless potential.
For example, if a human spoke the word "Fire" using the First Language, he could summon or create fire out of nowhere. In the same way, if a human spoke "Destroy", he can destroy what he intended to.
That was just how powerful and terrifying the First Language was.
And yet, that little brat, was able to read it as if it was the natural thing to do? Was this brat a scion of some Higher Beings or something?
''What's wrong?'' Jax tilted his head in confusion. He sighed and shook his head slowly before he continued, ''It's just reading those simple words. Why do you look so surprised?''
Spurt!
King couldn't take it anymore as he finally spurted a mouthful of blood. Those words he heard hit him real hard. He was the one who wasn't able to read it no matter how hard he tried. No matter how much time and effort he put into it, he really wasn't able to read or write a single letter at all.
So, for that brat to speak lightly of it, he really felt helpless and so weak. It was the first time for a competitive individual like him to feel so defeated.
Meanwhile, Jax ignored King and focused on what he was reading on the Scroll. Since that guy wasn't able to read it, he could take his time without worry and as freely as he wanted.

''Puahahahaha,'' Jax couldn't take it anymore. He spread his arms wide as he exploded in sheer laughter and excitement. ''It's more than a hundred kills! I'm now a Lord!''
It took him a good time for him to restrain his laughter. After that, he shifted his gaze back at the Scroll as he muttered with a faint smile, ''Now, let's see what my rewards are.''
''Scroll. Inventory!''
After he said that, the Scroll rolled close and open to show the information that Jax asked for.
It was the list of items that was in his Inventory.

''One, two, three... Oh? I got four types of items!'' Jax nodded his head and muttered. Since he already had the Primal Element to begin with, he counted it out for the items he had just received.
And by the looks of it, what he received this time was pretty decent.
A bag of silvers... A pill... that should enhance his body as the name suggested, right? Jax nodded his head as he said, ''Yes, that should be it...''
Then he looked for the other items and nodded his head again with satisfaction. Three mystery boxes and... a Special Return Scroll?
Suddenly, Jax's interest was caught here. If his guess was correct, then this thing could allow him to leave that island, right?
''Ke ke ke,'' Suddenly, Jax revealed a wide grin. He spread his arms wide as he shouted, ''Finally, I can leave this shitty place now!''
''What did you just say?! You can leave this place now?!''
Suddenly, a voice containing shock, disbelief, and excitement cried out. Jax shifted his gaze and there he saw King who now stood right beside him.
''I don't know for sure, but let me confirm...'' Jax replied as he shifted his gaze back at the Scroll. Then he commanded, ''Take out FL Special Return Scroll.''
Poof!
Suddenly, a small scroll of old paper appeared in front of the Scroll. Jax noticed that there was a paper note attached to its tie. He grabbed the FL Special Return Scroll and picked up the paper note for him to see.
''Oh? So it is its description.'' Jax smiled as he started reading the note.

''As expected! This is really the key to get out of this place!'' Jax exclaimed. Tears of joy threatened to fall from the corners of his eyes.
Swoosh!
Suddenly, Jax felt a sharp sensation poking through his neck. His smile froze, cold sweats appeared on his forehead as he felt like death itself had its scythe aiming at his neck.
He shifted his gaze and, sure enough, it was King. His hand this time had as if become as sharp as a deadly dagger, threatening to cut his throat at any moment.
''Give me that scroll.'' King finally spoke with an utterly cold voice. One thing he needed the most was to get out of that island. And now that the opportunity was right there in front of him, he just couldn't help but be agitated.
He must do everything to get that item!
Yes, even if he had to kill this little brat.
''Ah, okay, here, take it.'' Suddenly, Jax replied. He also stretched his hand out to give the other party the return scroll.
However, King didn't like the tone of his voice. It felt like it was too nonchalant and worry-free. He stared at the scroll, but even when several seconds had already passed, he still couldn't push himself to get it from Jax's hand.
King shifted his gaze, but to his little surprise, Jax was now even smiling. What was up with this brat? And what was up with himself? Why was he sweating?
''What's wrong? Here's the Special Return Scroll. You need it desperately, right? Why don't you take it now?'' Jax spoke again. He even wagged the scroll back and forth as if he was giving it to a dog.
King's face went dark and gloomy. He looked at the scroll and when he recalled what happened to him a little while ago, a sudden chill crept up in him. Would he get electrocuted again if he happened to touch it?
Meanwhile, the reason why Jax was so confident was because of the extra note written at the very bottom of the item description.
(Non-tradable item. Only usable by the owner.)
With that, he was assured that he wouldn't get robbed of his item this time.
He really wanted to see how that guy would suffer if he dared mess with him again.
