"Wow, you understand so quickly. You're just as smart as your mom," said Johan, sitting next to Jessica's bed.
Inside the big cozy room, there were only two people talking to each other; Johan sitting on a chair holding a book, and Jessica sitting on her bed, puffing out her chest proudly.
"Of course, I'm a genius," said Jessica, boasting of her abilities.
What Johan was doing was teaching Jessica how to speak and read in Indonesian, the language spoken by her mother.
After smiling confidently, Jessica suddenly became sad and sighed heavily.
"I miss Mom," said Jessica who now looked sad.
Johan who saw that immediately felt sad. He put the book he was holding into the bookcase and put on a friendly smile while approaching his niece.
"Guess what's for dinner this time?" Johan asked Jessica.
The girl's expression suddenly changed to one of curiosity.
"Could it be?" Jessica asked her uncle.
