Chapter 1 - Prologue.

In this modern age, information travels fast. Facts, entertainment, gossip, legends, hoaxes.

With the advancement of technology, everyone can get what they want and can find out what they want.

Including an urban legend that has recently become a global phenomenon, especially on the internet, where people from all over the world can talk to each other to discuss the phenomenon.

[ Did you have that dream? ]

[ Uh, what dream? ]

[ A dream about Gilgamesh giving a message. ]

[ You too? ]

[ Eh? What dream? ]

[ I want to hear it too. ]

[ My friend had the same dream. ]

[ seriously, what dream? ]

[ Gilgamesh is coming back to earth. ]

[ Gilgamesh? ]

[ ZASHU!!! ]

[ LOL ]

[ LOL. ZASHU!!! ]

[ ZASHU!!! ]

Almost a week has passed and more and more people are having the same dream.

No matter who it was, no matter what country it was from, those who had the dream described it as Gilgamesh giving a message and also a warning.

The content of the message is so short but so threatening.

[ Those who are chosen, prepare to be my subordinates. Those who are not chosen, prepare to be my slaves. ]

It started out as a joke, but as the 2 weeks passed, the world began to take it differently.

Some of the world's researchers began to develop theories that there were extraterrestrials trying to communicate. But others theorized that it was just a random coincidence caused by several factors including entertainment on the internet.

3 weeks passed and the information had spread like a common thing that even the mainstream media started talking about it.

"Aril, why are you so pensive like that?" asked a 20-year-old man who tapped the shoulder of his friend who was sitting watching a vtuber's livestream video.

"Shut up, Bambang, I'm upset right now," replied the man named Aril who looked at his friend a bit annoyed.

Both were college students waiting for their next class.

In the large classroom, there were several college students waiting for the next class while doing their own activities.

There were some students chatting with others. There are some students who sleep on their benches. Some students were busy watching videos on their smartphones. And there were some students who were on the phone with their girlfriends/boyfriends.

And here was Aril, sitting at the very back, watching a streaming video of someone who using a cartoon character as their avatar.

"Who are you watching this time?" asked Bambang, who was watching Aril's phone screen.

"A new vtuber. She just debuted a week ago," replied Aril.

"O... Kay...? Then why are you so upset?"

"Earlier, she was talking about Gilgamesh's dream," Aril replied swiftly and made Bambang stop talking.

"All these urban legends are overrated. Everyone's starting to claim that they had that dream," complained Aril who didn't get a response from his friend.

"So, the point is that if I don't get the dream, it means I'm destined to be a slave? What kind of stupid thing is that? I don't feel jealous, but why does everyone seem to think it's a great thing?"

Aril continued to complain but Bambang did not respond at all. Aril turned around and surprised Bambang.

"What's wrong with you?" Asked Aril who raised one of his eyebrows.

"Hehe... I guess I'm just a little tired," replied Bambang, smiling broadly.

A lecturer entered the classroom and the lecture began. The students immediately sat neatly on their benches when the lecturer started teaching.

---------------------------------------------

12 o'clock, noon. All activities ended temporarily for a break, including lectures.

The class that Aril and Bambang took had just finished and everyone left the room to eat.

Some students went straight home because they didn't have another class to attend and some just looked for food in the area around campus because they still had classes to attend after the break.

Aril and Bambang entered a small traditional restaurants near the campus. They both ordered fried rice and waited.

Some students went to a fancier place to eat, but of course these two students' wallets forbade them from going there.

The traditional restaurant looked simple. The tables were long and lined up and the chairs were just plastic stools with no backrests.

There was one TV attached to the wall so peoples could watch something while eating. But let's be honest, who would watch when the thing that broadcasting was a news?

Aril and Bambang's order came. 2 plates of fried rice with a large omelette and a side of sambal and some fresh cucumber slices.

As the two were eating, Bambang's attention was suddenly focused on the news on TV. The same everyday international news. War between countries.

"Why does war have to happen?" asked Bambang as he spooned his fried rice into his mouth.

"What can I say, what happens, happens," replied Aril who wasn't even looking at the TV, he was just staring at his plate.

"I mean, why don't we just end the war?"

"Unfortunately that's impossible and you know it. What can we do? We're just ordinary citizen who don't even have political influence."

Bambang sighed. "I guess you're right."

The TV's channel suddenly changed. It was no longer a newscast but a broadcast from someone sitting on a throne.

It was a man who looked to be in his thirties with rather short white hair and a thin and trimmed white beard.

The man began to speak in a language that was unheard of but at the same time....

Everyone understood

Not because of the subtitles but the minds of everyone who watched it seemed to immediately understand.

All attention was immediately drawn to the screen.

And the strange thing is, all electronic devices broadcast it simultaneously.

Cell phones, TVs, computers. All electronic devices capable of delivering video with sound.

Everyone around the world witnessed the strange event and could not take their eyes off the white-haired man.

[ Greetings, humans. I hope you can all hear this message clearly. ] The man's words were broadcast on TV and other electronic devices all around the world.

[ My name is Gilgamesh, king of kings and also your new god. ]

Everyone who were listening immediately shocked. Some thought that the broadcast was a prank. Some thought that it was the answer to the urban legend that had been going on for 3 weeks.

[ Planet Nibiru is no longer habitable due to the war that took place and I managed to win that war. ]

Everyone swallowed their own saliva. Scientists were losing their minds because they had just gotten an incredible piece of information. The politicians panicked as they realized that a possible invasion might happen.

[ I killed those you call anunnaki and gained their immortality and abilities. ]

The whole world is now engulfed in confusion and curiosity. All the conspiracy theorists are excited about what the man named Gilgamesh has to say.

[ Therefore, I offer you the throne of lesser gods to anyone who can prove their worthiness. ]

Gilgamesh grinned widely.

[ Prove your worth with the system I just gave you. ]

*DING!
