Chapter 7 - Hector.

"He is a Magos..." Alex sighed as he observed the chaos. Looking up, he saw earth particles shooting through the sky, slicing through the soldiers below.

"He is either a Magos or hiding. I can't seem to locate Hector..." Alex hoped Hector wasn't a Magos, as it would complicate things further.

"KILL!!!"

"RAM INTO THEM!"

"SLICE!!!"

Alex made his way towards the shore.

"SHIT!!!" A ship charged at him, trying to ram him. In seconds, he leaped into the water as the vessel he had been controlling was destroyed. Alex wasn't a strong swimmer but managed to use planks from the wreckage to float, like a bird gliding through the water.

After a few moments, he reached the shore.

Surveying the battlefield, Alex noticed that the Greeks were being pushed back, largely due to their open formation. It seemed as if they were attempting to untangle Troy and engage in one-on-one combat.

Unperturbed by the larger battle, Alex approached the walls and spotted Hector. The prince of Troy was a handsome figure with blonde hair and blue eyes, dressed in impressive armor—large shield, helmet, and breastplate. His regal demeanor reflected his status as a leader and prince. Hector's noble appearance was emphasized by his conduct and heroism.

"Handsome bastard," Alex muttered with a smirk, but his smile faded when he saw Hector using magic. Hector was a Mago.

"Shit... Earth magic, it seems..." Alex hid behind a tree, contemplating his strategy.

After several minutes of strategizing, Alex's frustration grew. "Damn it... How am I supposed to deal with this? There are at least 3,000 men fighting in front of Hector, with 300 more surrounding him on the walls. This mission is ridiculously hard."

He bit his nails, conflicted about how to defeat Hector. A direct charge was out of the question; Alex wasn't the type for such a reckless approach.

"If only I had my gun here..." Alex observed that he was about 300 meters from the wall.

"KILL!!!" Soldiers noticed him.

"Shit..." Alex ran away.

"HUH? A Greek is retreating? HAHAHAHAHA, looks like their pride is just a façade," Trojan warriors laughed. Greeks were known for their bravery, and retreating was considered a joke.

Greeks fighting at this time would later become the Spartans of legend.

"Here..." Alex found a safe distance, pulled out his spear, and...

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

"AAGHGGHGH!!!" The spear pierced a Trojan warrior's foot.

"I don't want to spend more time here. Whether I finish this mission or not," Alex said, then hurried towards the walls, opting for the forest surrounding the battlefield instead of charging directly into the enemy forces.

He finally reached the castle walls.

"Here..." Alex examined the bricks and discovered protruding stones that allowed him to climb.

But then...

"Wait a minute..." He noticed a crumbled boulder among the stones.

Alex looked up at Hector and waited.

He observed...

"I see now... what to do..." Alex formulated a plan as he climbed up and prepared to jump onto the stones.

--

"Prince, we've observed unusual activity around the walls. Could this be a distraction?" a Trojan soldier asked.

Hector, crouched with his hands clasped, replied, "Achilles is too cunning to waste troops in such a manner without a deeper plan. This must be part of his strategy." He smiled.

"But... who says we don't have a plan of our own..." Hector looked back, noticing something.

"GET BACK!!!! AGHHGHGHGH!!!" Hector saw soldiers being thrown off the walls one after another.

The walls were five meters thick, but the soldiers at the edges were vulnerable.

"KILL!!!" Soldiers began to target the strange phenomenon on the walls.

"What is that?" Hector wondered, drawing his sword.

Eventually, soldiers managed to restrain the figure.

It was a man in a brown fabric coat—unrecognizable.

"GET BACK, KILL WHOEVER THIS IS!!!" A soldier ordered. They were about to execute the figure when...

"STOP!!! PRINCE, I HAVE INFORMATION ABOUT THE GREEKS!!!" The figure shouted.

"STOP!!!" Hector approached, commanding the soldiers to let the figure speak.

They removed the covering, revealing Alex.

"Who are you?" Hector demanded.

"I am Alexius Potatous, a deserter from the Greek army. I have important information for you," Alex said while squatting, looking up.

"Stand up. Why should I trust you?" Hector ordered.

The soldiers were stunned; mutiny in the Greek ranks was unheard of.

"Because you're losing, Prince," Alex said confidently.

"Losing? Look around. We're pushing the invaders back," Hector replied, pride evident in his voice.

"Yes, but you may not be aware of the bigger picture. On the other three sides of the city, you are on the brink of being overrun. You're focusing nearly all of Troy's forces on this side, leaving the others vulnerable," Alex explained.

"WHAT?!" Hector was taken aback but quickly regained his composure.

"Then why did you attack my men if you claim to help?" Hector demanded.

"I needed to capture your attention. If I simply announced my desertion, both Greeks and Trojans would have killed me. I needed to make you believe I had critical information," Alex said, inching closer to Hector.

He reached into his coat.

"HOLD!!!" Soldiers pointed their spears at Alex.

"Stop. Let's see what he has," Hector ordered.

Alex approached Hector, seeming ready to present something.

Hector smiled, thinking Alex was about to reveal useful information.

"Do you think I'm foolish?" Hector said, drawing his sword.

In a flash, Alex pulled out a knife.

"AFGGGGF!!!" With incredible speed, he lunged at Hector.

Hector braced himself, his feet planted firmly on the ground.

BSSGSHGHGHGHG!!!

The ground shook, and stones erupted, trapping Alex.

"YOU BASTARD!!!" Soldiers rushed to stab him.

"Now, Deserter, you will die..." Hector said coldly.

"Damn it... Hahaha, dying at the hands of a Magos—what an honor. At least I tried. I'll join the ranks of heroes in Olympus, while you will be forgotten in the river of time..." Alex mocked, smiling even as he accepted his fate.

He glanced at the Greeks fighting fiercely.

"I'll join you, my friends. Looks like this is goodbye." Alex resigned himself to his fate.

"Killed by a Magos? Yes... Yes... that's a grand honor for a Greek," Hector declared, raising Alex and starting to form a ball of boulders in the air around him.

"WHAT?!" Alex appeared distraught.

"DON'T YOU DARE!!!" He was furious, blood trickling from his gums.

"Let's see if I do, you can go flying towards.... hmmmm that ship" Hector said, using his power.

The boulders shot into the sky around the boulders and dirty city.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Alex bellowed.

But as he saw his chance, he smiled and pointed his hand.

"Got you... you fucker..." He aimed at a rock sharpened to a spearhead.

Alex closed his eyes and used his magic. At the last moment, he unleashed a fireball, but... he stopped the fireball.

The energy was redirected, pushing the rock.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The rock sped through the air and...

"Huh?" Hector felt a sharp pain as the rock pierced his neck.

Alex smiled as soldiers angrily threw their spears at him.

BANG!!!

"Ugh..." A spear struck him, but he looked up and saw...
