Chapter 5 - Explanation.

[Gods, the almighty beings who stand on Mount Olympus, are omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient, but there is one thing they can't do: surpass human will.

The story goes like this: years ago, when humans first appeared, Prometheus gifted them fire. This fire allowed them to grow strong and survive in the harsh climate that followed the Titanomachy. Humans struggled against countless beasts and fought to survive among stronger animals and beings.

Yet, no parent leaves their child without support. Prometheus descended to the mortal realm and awakened a divine fire within humans. This wasn't ordinary fire; it was the DIVINE SPARK. This spark ignited the first human soul, imbuing it with immense power. The godly parent bestowed upon humans the ability to absorb Divine Energy from the air, which flowed down from Mount Olympus like a river. Although the gods halted the flow, the fog that rose into the sky fell back to earth as rain, which was absorbed by Gaia. Thus, humans gained magic.

Prometheus was punished, but he smiled as he was sealed, knowing that his gift would be the greatest resistance against Zeus himself.]

~~

"Wow... This is incredible. It's a bit different from the actual Greek myth with the addition of the Divine Spark River, but it's still very close. I didn't know Prometheus was so chill about it." Alex turned the page.

~~

[Over the years, humans rose and resisted the gods. They diversified into different types of magic, advancing with time. When war seemed imminent, the Gods decided to compromise.]

~~

"Incredible... but there's nothing more here. Damn, I was so invested... but I guess it makes sense. This place looks like it belongs to commoners." Alex turned the page.

~~

[Humans diversified into different powers:

MagosDynamisTheoi]

~~

"Looks like I'm a Magos, with firepower and all. But Dynamis and Theoi—I don't know what they mean. They're old Greek words..." Alex pulled the page and examined the Magos section.

"There's only one spell described here, Fireball... 1st Primitivus Spell?" Alex scratched his head. 'Spacius,' he had never heard of this term, and it sounded more Latin than Greek.

"Anyway, I'll just memorize this. The theory behind this thing..." Alex stood up, sighed, and looked around.

"Looks like no one's discovered me... but I have one question. What do I do in this world, just survive and explore? Isn't there, like, a... Quest?" As soon as Alex said "quest," a notification appeared.

~~

[You have appeared in the Mythological War of Troy.

The war began after Paris, a Trojan prince, abducted Helen, the wife of Menelaus, king of Sparta. The Greeks, led by Agamemnon, assembled a coalition of city-states to retrieve Helen and punish Troy.

Your mission in this world is to find one of the Commanders of Troy, Hector, and kill him.

The reward will be revealed after the mission ends.]

~~

"The mission appeared just now?! Damn... and how am I supposed to find or kill Hector..." Alex sighed. he didn't know the mission was much more important than everything in this place, he looked up and remembered who Hector was.

"I hope Hector is a normal commander if he is that magician i read here, i am really fucking done... i can't beat a magician just yet..." Alex sighed and looked over but... something.

"CHECK THIS!!!" He heard a voice and immediately hid behind a couch.

BANG!!!

The door burst open, and three soldiers entered.

"Nothing here, check the couch," one of them ordered.

"H--- AAGHGHHG" Before the soldier could act, he was grabbed by the foot.

"WHAT?!" The soldiers noticed their comrade and rushed to help him.

"AGHH KILL!!!" They screamed.

BANG!!!

Alex leaped up, grabbed one soldier's hand, threw him over his shoulder, and knocked him out by stepping on his neck.

"BASTARD!!!" The third soldier attempted to attack, but Alex slid on the ground, pulled the soldier's feet with his own, and threw him down, entangling him and putting his hand on the soldier's neck.

"GHHHHH..." The soldier lost consciousness.

"Phew, that was close. It's good I took care of them quickly." Alex, a master in various martial arts, was confident in his skills.

"Huh?" Alex looked up.

~~

[Congratulations, you defeated a Trojan soldier.

You have been rewarded with 3 Spirit Stones.]

"Spirit Stones, huh? What are they?" Alex looked around, but nothing else appeared.

"Anyway, I need to escape..." Before rushing out, Alex glanced down and smiled.

"Hmmm... I have an idea..." Alex examined the armor.

--

"Did you find him?" Captain Alza demanded.

"Sorry, Captain Alza, we didn't find him. The city has thousands of houses. If we split up and search, we won't have enough time away from the battlefield. The Commander wouldn't allow it," one soldier explained.

"Damn it... Alright, call the soldiers back, block the city exits, and make sure to notify me if the guards spot any unusual individuals." Trojan warriors, who were slightly more tanned than others, considered Greeks odd due to their distinct fighting styles and noticeable skin differences.

--

Soldiers gathered around the exits to guard them as others returned to the walls or went out to fight.

"Hey, you..." One soldier noticed something unusual.

"Yes," a deep voice responded.

"You're odd. Take your helmet off," the soldier ordered.

"Yes..." The voice replied as the helmet was removed.

The man revealed was handsome with fair, slightly tanned skin.

"I see. Good to go," the soldier said, allowing him to pass.

Alex smiled and continued.

"Looks like I'm lucky. The trick worked." Alex found a pestle and mortar, ground them into sand, and applied it to himself to mimic a tan.

"Now... let's go find Hector," he said, setting off.

But...

"Hm? That..." Captain Alza's eyes widened.

"Armor... is worn... on the wrong side... THERE HE IS!!!"

Alex turned and saw soldiers pointing their spears and bows at him.

"Fuck..." he muttered.
