In the silence of the night, slow, calm footsteps resounded. A young man waited in a corner like a prowler, waiting for his prey, in order to follow them to wherever they were headed.
Soon voices could be heard...
"You're still following her, even though you know she will die at any moment," a voice resounded, and along with it came a chuckle.
"Haha, anything for fun, when she dies, I will move on to the next lady I find pleasing." Another voice replied, the voice sounded nonchalant as though he didn't care about the lady.
"Heh, our lives have truly become different, if it were before, we would be hesitant to watch people die, but now we are even anticipating their deaths." The first voice resounded once again.
Like that, they continued discussing, at times laughter resounded, causing Bray to be disgusted. Due to the awakening of multiple abilities, all of Bray's senses had been greatly enhanced. His hearing could now hear sounds that came a distance away. When he heard the discussion of the men, he couldn't help but feel irritated, but there was nothing he could do. Besides, he wasn't the hero that saves the world in the end, so he wasn't too bothered about the lives of others.
Bray proceeded to look at the system for a moment to see how much time had passed since he noticed that the guards were currently right beside him.
[Time elapsed: 00:11:02:23:43…]
Currently, although he might seem calm, he was very nervous, after all, this was his first time using an ability, and even though it was a stealth ability, he was about to encounter guards, whose power level might possibly be higher than his.
He didn't know if his ability would have any defects when he encountered them, because of this, he was feeling anxious, and at the same time, he tightened his mind, prepared to move out his eternal dual heavy swords at any time in case of anything.
"Hmm?" As soon as the first man passed, just as he was about to pass where Bray was standing, he paused for a moment. Right where Bray was hidden, he looked around for a moment.
[Name: Grahon Desir.]
[Power level - 134.]
[Ability - battery bulldozer.]
[Battle Bulldozer (A-grade): an ability that increases strength and all defensive stats by 10000x. This is a unique ability that embodies both defense and attack but mainly focuses on defense while having only one attacking skill, which absorbs all attacks and sends them all in a singular attack.]
Bray held his breath as his heart tightened, at the same time, the stats information about the young man appeared, hovering over his head.
"What is it, Desir?" The young man beside him asked, he didn't notice anything and was just about to keep walking when Desir stopped.
[Name: Fracad Rakook.]
[Power level: 99.]
[Ability - fiery flame.]
[Fiery flame (A-grade): an ability that uses the ethereal essence of an element. This is an attack ability that sends out a single ball of flame. Depending on the mana out put, the ball of flame can be as small as a tennis ball or as large as a planet. This ability increases all defensive stats by 10,000x.
"Oh, its nothing, I thought I heard something." Desir shook his head and replied, "Let's continue, I can't wait, so see how the match tonight will go."
"Haha, don't worry, I'm willing to place my bet on Kloxy. After all, he seems to possess an S-grade ability."
Sigh! Bray sighed in relief seeing the two men ignore him and continue on their way. At the same time he heard what Fracad said, his eyes widened in shock. Another S-grade ability? To think I will encounter another S-grade ability, from how these guards are speaking, it seems that they are from another cell, but out of the 10, which one of them could they be from?
Bray didn't know, but he came to a decision on what to do next, and at the same time he looked at the time in the system.
[Time elapsed: 12 minutes.]
Bray stealthily followed them, looking up, the moon that was previously at his right was now currently at his right angle, in essence, he didn't head right straightly, but rather through the alleyway at the angle in his upper right, he headed in the direction.
Slowly but surely they moved. Bray wanted to rush ahead of them but didn't know which location to head to. He calmed himself and continued to move. From what he knew, the nearest prison close to his was in the direction of his right. By following this direction, he could infer that they weren't headed to the prison.
Could it be that they are heading to a place where a game is ongoing? Bray wondered if this was the only possible suggestion, if this guess is right, then could it be that the other world prisons hold different games? Bray wondered, if I had known, I would have asked Sloven, after all, he seems to know so much about this world prison.
…
What Bray didn't know was that, currently, standing atop a tall building was a young man in plain white robes, in his hand was a mirror, and the image currently reflected in the mirror was Bray's shadowy figure as he moved. From his white robe, one would be able to recognize him as a higher-level guard.
"Hmm, this is quite fun, it seems like I chose the right person. I truly can't wait." The young man muttered in a low voice, speaking to himself.
…
After weaving through the alleys, the guards along with Bray finally reached a large stadium. The stadium was similar in structure to the one in which the second game was held, but at the same time it was also mildly different. From a distance, Bray could hear faint, discernible voices. He took a deep breath and stepped into the building under the lead of the two guards.
A bright flash of light blurred Bray's vision slightly as he entered the stadium through the corner. As soon as he stepped inside, he was stunned to see...
