Chapter 1 - Stranger

Location: S.A Enterprise

POV: Sean Alexander

I was at the office but today my mood hasn't been favorable to me nor to my employees, I kept yelling at them for no tangible reason at all, I was having a bad day for no reason

so I decided to leave earlier than I used to, I called my driver to get the car ready.

Stepping into the car, I motioned to my driver to drive, we were halfway to my estate then I suddenly asked my driver to stop the car he obeyed,

I mean why won't he?

"Get out, take a taxi home or something" I said before taking the wheel.

He nodded before I drove off

Could it be the wedding that's making me feel so agitated, was I having cold feet?

Because Angela has called earlier today to remind me about going to get my measurements done.

For goodness sake I was not having it, I mean should I not be excited.?

I stopped driving when I got to a park looking around before shaking my head. So I decided to take a look around because I do not wish to meet Angela with a sore mood.

As I walked down I noticed a lady sitting by herself in what looked like a secluded spot in the park just smiling to herself so I decided to go to her.

Seeing a lady sitting by herself was weird but the smile on her face was too apparent.

Getting a bit closer, I noticed the chat on her phone, it was probably the cause of her smile.

I was tempted to get even closer to her. Stealing a quick glance at her phone because I got curious on what was making her radiate with smiles.

"I'm guessing he must be a great boyfriend" I spoke up, hoping to draw her attention.

Clearing my throat as I sat down on the same bench with her.

She looked up and gave me a shy smile

I was mesmerized, God she's gorgeous

"You caught me" she said

Her words drew me out of my thoughts and back to reality.

What was it about her that captivated me? Was I just curious or was it her beauty?

"Don't you know it's rude to stare" she said waving her hand across my face

"Oh, my apologies I'm still wondering how happy the guy makes you cause I can tell just looking at you" I commented

"Oh" she said

Then she brought her phone to my face waving it in my face but I could see clearly the contact name

"Clingy Brother" I read aloud, ignoring the silly emoji

"Are you disappointed?" she asked

"No, I mean yes, but don't get me wrong, I mean yes but in a good way," I said to her

thinking that I've made a fool of myself I rubbed the back of my neck in shame.

But she laughed

"No, it's fine," she said.

Then I moved closer making sure there was no space in-between us.

Judging from her reaction I could definitely bet that she is definitely a shy person.

I tried making eye contact with her but she found it difficult to maintain.

"So, about your brother" I said trying to start up a conversation because the silence was starting to get awkward

"Yeah, right" she said before stealing a glance at me.

I felt my heart skip a beat, I've never been fascinated by a woman nor her beauty before but at this point I think I was losing my mind, so I kept observing her As she continued to speak.

"Neal… That's his name, He's my world, with him I don't know what being lonely feels like, but he can be overly possessive and protective sometimes" she said.

I was already feeling jealous for no reason, as so many thoughts were running through my mind.

"Where did your mind travel to?" she asked, nudging me a bit.

"Nah I'm with you, just wondering how lovely your relationship with him is" I lied.

I don't know why my reaction suddenly changed, I could see her lips moving but truly I stopped paying attention but I was just smiling sheepishly cause her smile is dangerously contagious

I was so into her smile, losing track of where I was at the moment.

I jolted due to the way my phone vibrated in my pocket but I choose to ignore it

"are you alright" she asked

"Huh?, what do you mean?" I asked her at this moment I was totally Lost

"Your phone" she pointed out

"Oh" I said feigning ignorance at the same time bringing my phone out my pocket

Seeing the text on my phone brought me back to reality,

it reminded me I had wedding plans with my fiance and I had to go take measurements for my suit

"Is everything ok?" she asked, her voice startled me

"Yes, why?" I asked, letting out a weak smile trying to hide my disappointment.

"You don't look too happy," she pointed out.

"Is nothing, just an email from work, it gets annoying sometimes" I lied to her again.

She only smiled

She moved closer I was surprised when she gave me a hug, and I swear to god it felt so nice

This was weird but nice, it was weird to think that a simple trip to clear my head had led to this.

I hugged her back not trying to break the hug, she smells so good and I wanted to be in her arms forever.

It felt like an internal peace I've never felt before but who was I kidding? I have a fiancé that I'm getting married to and I'm in the arms of this stranger that I just met. Is destiny playing fiction on me?.

I have never felt so relaxed in my life like I did at this moment. I can't even remember the last time I genuinely hugged somebody but all these happened within a few minutes.

She broke the hug and apologize

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to hug you, is just whenever I'm feeling kind of blue my brother usually give me a hug and tells me that it will all work out, I shouldn't worry so I thought maybe you needed a hug to cheer you on," she said

"I'm sorry" she added again as she continues to speak

"That's why I hugged you so that you can relax a bit…" she said

"… because from the expression, It shows that you are not just angry but sad. I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable" she continued.

"No, please you don't have to apologize, it's fine I'm not… I'm not offended" I said trying to smile genuinely this time but this time I wanted her to hold me again.

"Okay" she said looking at her wrist watch then she continued to speak

"I'm going to leave now I hope everything works out for you" she paused then spoke again

"Maybe I'll see you around, have a nice evening" she said before starting to walk away.

"No wait"

I motioned her but she just simply wave right back at me and just smiled

"I'm Olivia, see you around" she said before taking off

"I'm Sean!" I shouted after her.

Hopefully she heard me, thinking about it now, I didn't or couldn't get her contact.

But who am I deceiving?

I can't have anything to do with her, I already have a fiancée who perhaps loves me.

Could just be deceiving myself but I don't want to hurt anybody in the process.

"Let's hope this is just a temporary feeling," I whispered to myself.

"You're getting married, bro, get yourself together" I shouted hoping to admonish myself.

At some point I was sure that I looked like a madman to the onlookers.

After a while of trying to get myself together, I returned to the car as I drove off.
