Rachel's Memories:
----
"Hello…"
Staring across the table to the young girl sitting across, the silver haired boy maintained a smile on his face. His smile was twisted to look as fake as possible, and the girl, seeing his expression was silent. He stretched a piece of paper across the table, watching as she accepted it.
"Hi…" she spoke, her voice cold and piercing, as sharp as the edge of a blade. She took the paper in her hands and read its contents, then dropped it to the table. As soon as her fingertips left it, there was a soft breeze and the ashes of the paper was blown with it.
Burnt to ash in an instant.
"You don't understand." The young man leaned forward, the fake smile turning original. Alas, it was laced with killing intent and seeing the expression, the woman returned the gesture. They were similar in facial expressions, and locking their gaze, they looked like a mirror of themselves.
"I very much do and I refuse, husband." She spoke calmly. Just as she uttered the final word, her head exploded in his face, splattering blood on the young man's face. He stared at her neck, silence prevailing as her body slumped. He stared at her, the smile maintained on his face.
"Until, we meet again…"
——
"Until we meet again…" the words were barely a whisper, alas, she could remember it. From the very first day she had heard it, to this moment, when it was finally her turn to say it. He held her in his hands, bawling like an idiot. He would not even remember her name…
A sword was buried in her chest, and as she tried to hold it with her trembling hands, she felt all the strength slipping from her grasp. Death for an immortal feels ever so distant, yet for some, it was too casual. For the first time in a thousand years, she felt the fear — the fear of death again.
He loved her and they tried to kill each other so many times, across so many planes. Yet, this was the first time she died in his hands, and he did not know why he was hurt this much. She grabbed his face, pulling him close and lifting her chin, opening her mouth slightly.
"I will say…" the silence haunted her and her vision darkened, "I will say… it… just once…" after a while, she felt her strength vanish. She tried to summon it, to grasp harder, but it was like clawing the depths of a void — hopeless. Her eyes could not shed a tear, and it ailed her.

The Main POV:
——
Requiem rushed a halt. He threw Ryelir to the ground, then pointed his blade as his unwelcome guest, his eyes turning ferocious, "So, you a mere regent is the one who dares to disturb my peace? I am disgusted with your methods."
He looked around, finding a few men and women tied to the trees naked. Armed guards took the formations around them, their weapons drawn. Requiem sighed, 'They must have sent this up during the conquest or when we were on our way out of the city.'
"Requiem, the bastard prince. My name is Regent Serbuckler, and it is my duty to terminate your existence in the name of our esteemed King." The Regent drew his blade, grinning at Requiem. He'd a cape draped across his shoulders, and his long black hair were like spikes falling across his face.
"Your mundane effort to enrage him is pathetic." Requiem entered a battle stance turning toward the men, his eyes gleaming in a fierce light. As he prepared to finish them off, a cold frown formed on his face, "I had wanted you to tell me the reason for this attack before offering your lives to me."

They looked at each other, then turned to the Regent. Requiem noted that only the leader was allowed the grace of holding such information. An intelligent choice, given how easy it was to wrench information from a human mind, alas, it was a double edge blade.
"Well, we had caught news from a Seer that this ungrateful wretch would rat us out to an enemy, so we prepared a plan to eliminate two birds with one stone." He spoke calmly, turning to Ryelir who darted behind a tree, "She was always such a waste of fresh air. A twisted soul."
"I agree. Fools like you should be eradicated." Requiem sighed, snapping his finger calmly. A rift tore in space, quite small — the size of a house, and it exuded a strong suction force. The fools who stood on their feet were picked up into the air and dragged into the rift, "It's a mercy."
The rift churned, then closed up. Requiem lifted his gaze to the sky, and he wondered why he'd only thought this up after seeing Yver tear a rift through space. The fools had been consumed and not a single trace of their pathetic existences remained in this world.
To where their remains travelled, Requiem left that as a journey for another day. For this day, he lowered his gaze and swept it across the remnants of the regent lord's experiments, "This skirmish is long over. I just need to decide between killing these ones or letting them live."
He pinched his chin, glancing at the screen that had appeared before his gaze.
——
Yver sat on Dragnur's back, watching as the horde of demons rushed in her direction. Seeing the demons, her brows furrowed and she sighed. The slaves of Requiem's Order charged forward, and it resulted in a bloody battle. She watched all this, her eyes gleaming in amusement.
Her avatar rested with her back on the castle wall and her butt on the bare ground. Out of good will, the followers of Yver were commanded to aid Requiem and his followers. The battle was fierce: blades flying into the air along with heads and limbs, splattered internals, and wrenched organs.
Arrows rained upon the battlefield, wiping out a great deal of the demons. Slaves on horseback charged alongside the foot soldiers, swinging their blade or pike and butchering the enemy. As they drew the fight to a slow victory with the demons withdrawing, shields were raised.
Spears were hurled across walls of metal shields, piercing the fast escaping demons. Yver sat on her ride, watching all of this with her eyes gleaming. The demon heads rolled across the ground and only three causalities were sustained against over a hundred demon slain.
"Aren't these normal slaves? How did they become this enhanced…" She narrowed her gaze, "I've never seen anything like this… except for…" her eyes lack pupils, otherwise, they would have shrunk to needle points, "Impossible!"
