Nathan squinted his eyes. "What do you mean?"
"There are three ways to acquire land. The first is to become a noble of a kingdom and have the king bestow you with land. This will allow the kingdom to protect you as well.
"The second way is to occupy the land like a bandit. There's a chance that the kingdom will be hostile, which will lead to a subjugation.
"Last but not least, marry a noble." Flora looked at Nathan with a serious expression. "My mother's family has a land bestowed on her father's name in the past. However, my mother passed away after giving birth to me. Her last relative, my grandfather, passed away not long after her due to the grief. Hence, I inherit that land.
"However, we have never built anything there. If you marry me, you will be able to get that land legally." Flora added that condition, but soon noticed Nathan furrowing his eyebrows.
