"What do you want?"the girl asked coldly.
"Can I see your face?" Tu Xiaolong requested.
"Give me a valid reason why I should show you my face,"the girl spoke in a gentle voice yet laden with disdain.
'Why is she being mysterious yet she has such a simple username? Summer?'Tu Xiaolong thought.
"Could it be that that you think I have a scar on my face that I'm covering up?"she concluded when she saw how hesitant Tu Xiaolong looked after demanding a reason for her to reveal her face to him.
"That's not it. I heard very pretty girls always disguise themselves so I want to see if it's true."
"Really?"She asked not sounding convinced by his reason but regardless of that she took off her mask,her glasses and the hoodie.
Tu Xiaolong gasped in surprise and amazement. He shamelessly stared at her face and got lost in her soft gaze.
"You're really beautiful,"he remarked.
"Thank you. You're very cute too,"the girl said smiling shyly.
"What's your name?"Tu Xiaolong asked curiously.
The girl looked as if she was stunned by his question but she got rid of the facial expression immediately.
"I'm Chen Duling. You can also call me Summer."
"I'm Tu Xiaolong,"he said excitedly.
"You already told me your name earlier,"Chen Duling chuckled in amusement.
"Oh ." Tu Xiaolong was embarrassed.
"I'll see you around,"Chen Duling said after a while of silence and put her disguise back on. She then bowed slightly and left.
"How come I didn't know angels exist in this world?" Tu Xiaolong mumbled and smiled while fantasizing about meeting Chen Duling again.
"Your friend came but you weren't there ,"Tu Xiaolong informed Tu Xiaoheng at night while they took their dinner.
"Chen Duling ?"
"Yes."
"Oh I forgot. Did you play with her?"
"Yeah."
"How did it go?"
"We played for two rounds. She won in the first one I won in the second one."
"Did you see her face?"
"Yes."
"I knew it."
"She's really beautiful."
"Do you have a crush on her?" Tu Xiaoheng asked teasingly.
"Maybe."
Tu Xiaolong walked out of the hall looking weary after long orientation sessions. It had only been two days after the freshmen were admitted. They were attending orientation sessions to familiarize themselves with the school activities. Tu Xiaolong was with a slightly plump boy with an average height called Cheng Cheng. He was a new friend Tu Xiaolong had made while in the hall.
Suddenly as they strolled along the university walkaways,they heard people screaming while others were taking photographs of four beautiful girls walking regally along the walkaway. Three of the girls walked at the front while the other one was walking behind them carrying a pink umbrella with beautiful decorations. Tu Xiaolong was surprised to see Chen Duling walking with the girls. He stared at them . The girls' beauty looked otherworldly. Tu Xiaolong couldn't decide who was more beautiful than the other.
"Chen Duling !"Tu Xiaolong shouted and all the four girls look towards his direction. Tu Xiaolong waved at her and she waved back at him. The girls then looked away walking away.
"Are you also a fan of those girls?"Cheng Cheng asked in surprise.
"Who are they?"
"You don't know them? I thought you waved at her because you knew who she was?"
"We're acquaintances."
"How lucky you're. They are Four Seasons Brigade,a popular girl group in the video gaming industry."
Four Seasons Brigade was made up of four girls whose video gaming usernames coincided with the four climatic seasons; Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Zhang Liying also known as Winter was the leader. She was very beautiful but cold just like the snow in winter. Ai Xia also known as Autumn was cool and always carried different designs of umbrellas whether it was sunny or raining. Jia Wei also known as Spring was a little warmer and gentler than the first two. She was the social butterfly in the group. Chen Duling was the gentlest and warmest just like the summer season. Her seraphic smile during live streams and public interactions was compared to a summer's day because it was able to melt one's heart and brighten their day.
The four girls were from rich and prominent families. Zhang Liying's family owned well known companies and shopping malls countrywide. Ai Xia's family owned three famous wineries. Jia Wei's family owned five-star hotels countrywide. Chen Duling's parents were both famous doctors. Despite the fact that the girls came from rich families,they didn't just sit around squandering their parents' money. They created a name for themselves in the video gaming industry and in the content creation sites. Also they were all sophomores studying software engineering and they excelled in their studies.
Tu Xiaolong was still surprised after knowing Chen Duling's real identity. This made him admire her even more.
"Who was that cute kid who waved at you?"Jia Wei asked curiously.
"Probably one of her fans ,"Ai Xia replied.
"He's not a fan. I revealed my face to him some days ago and told him my name but he didn't seem to recognize me."
"Maybe he was just pretending,"Ai Xia commmented.
"Who is he?"
"He's Tu Xiaoheng's cousin."
"Tu Xiaoheng ? Your friend from Pixel Playground?"
"Yes."
"What's that kid's name?"
"Tu Xiaolong."
"Interesting. What's with the Tu Xiao something?Is it a naming system in their family?"Jia Wei asked sounding amused.
"Maybe,"Ai Xia replied nonchalantly.
Zhang Liying was quiet the whole time the three girls chatted about Tu Xiaolong. It was hard to tell if she was interested in their conversation or not.
