The White Family core members all gathered in the main hall. Patriarch White and his brother plus a few other elders whom Aya didn't know their names.
They were all here.
Her brother was not here, though. He was still a baby and definitely couldn't participate in this kind of matter.
Aya and Evan went to their respective fathers and their father brought them to their laps. The elders frowned when they saw the children were brought into the discussion, but they didn't say anything unnecessary.
They knew that this was Patriarch White's decision.
"I'm here to tell you that there'll be a war between Wansu City and Xunsu City," Patriarch White said in a low voice.
"Another war?"
"So soon?"
The war had just ended some time ago and there would be another war so quickly?
The elders looked at Patriarch White with worry.
"I have to go," Patriarch White replied.
The Fourth Wansu City Head decided that everyone who could go will go. This meant that many family patriarchs, including those smaller families, would also go to the frontline.
Evan frowned and looked at his father.
Patriarch White's brother nodded and patted Evan's head. "I have to go and protect my brother."
His inheritance magic was definitely the most suitable one to protect others, so he had to go and make sure nothing happened to his brother.
Evan pursed his lips, but he didn't say anything else.
Aya glanced at Evan and then at Patriarch White. "Father, is there no one else to go?"
"Sadly, no." Patriarch White shook his head. "Xunsu City is one of the strongest cities nearby. Their specialties are fighting with wind and ice element. They'll need crystal eyes for scouting."
Ah right.
Ordinary people would not be able to see their enemies and with the help of magic warriors of the White Family, they would be able to see through the enemy's concealment.
Aya thought about it and it was no wonder that Patriarch White was brought to the frontline.
"I won't be alone. Green Family Patriarch and Black Family Patriarch will also go. Fourth Head wanted us to finish the war as soon as possible," White Family Patriarch explained. "During this period of time, I would like to trouble the elders to help take care of my and my brother's children."
"Yes, we will."
"Of course."
"Evan, you will enter the academy next year," Patriarch White's brother said. "Don't forget to study, ok?"
"Yes!" Evan nodded solemnly.
His magic was already unsealed after the birthday celebration party that was interrupted halfway. Afterwards, he continued to learn physical technique and also some basic elemental magic.
Most magic warriors would all learn from the very basic elemental magic.
And which magic element were they most suitable with?
It would depend on how long it took for them to learn each basic elemental spell. Sometimes, they might not even be able to learn even after a month has passed, which means that they have 0 affinity towards that element.
Evan had only started practicing.
For the five years old of the magic families, they would spend half a year studying which magic element most suitable for them.
There were a total of 9 basic elements: fire, water, wind, earth, wood, metal, lightning, light, and darkness.
Ice was the advance of the water element, sand was the advance of the earth element, and so on. These other elements could be studied if they have the basic element affinity first.
There were no magic tools that could test their affinity quickly.
For the children of ordinary families, they have to wait until they enter the academy before they were taught the meditation and basic spells. Afterwards, they would be able to know which element they were most suitable with.
For magic they have affinities with, usually they would be able to learn the basic spells within a week's time.
Otherwise… even if they spend a year, they wouldn't be able to learn it.
